Martian Coasters Game Rules

Hey there! Imagine having a bunch of beverage coasters that double as a cool gameboard. What’s even more fun is that the gameboard changes as you play! That’s exactly what these colorful coasters do. And you know what makes them even more interesting? The name Martian! It’s because they are said to be inspired by the ancient, mythical cities on the planet Mars.

Components

Here’s what you’ll find inside the game box:

  • 1 Rainbow Stash
  • 4 mini-gameboards
  • 1 regular die
  • 1 Treehouse die

Setup

Let’s get ready to play! Follow these steps to set up the game:

Start by arranging the four coasters in a square shape. Make sure you notice the small dot in the corner of each coaster. To make things fair, place all the coasters together so that the circles are in the center.

Next, assign a color to each player. If there are any extra colors, put them aside for now. Now it’s time to place the pyramids on the coasters:

  • If there are 4 players, you will build four Trees with different colors. Place each Tree in the center of the Coaster that doesn’t have that Tree’s color.

Here’s an example of how the content could be rewritten:

  • 3 Players: Let’s start by taking the three Drones and making a stack with them. Put the stack at the center of the coaster that no one is using. Now, we need to make three stacks with the two-tone Pawns and Queens. Place each stack at the center of the remaining coasters that don’t have the same color as the stack. To make it fair, the player who goes last should build the Drone tower.
  • 2 Players: If there are only two players, put the two Drones on the center squares of the opponent’s home coasters. Take each Pawn and place it on top of the Queen of the opposite color. Then, put these stacks on the center squares of the remaining two coasters.
  • Now, we need to decide who goes first. The player who rolls the highest number gets to go first.

    The Goal of the Game

So here’s the deal: I’m gonna break down the game for you, step by step. All you need to do is put your three pieces in the center spot of the coaster, right in their nest. And, oh, make sure the coaster has the same color as your pieces! Got it? Great.

    How to Play

Alright, it’s your turn now! Roll both dice. The first one, the Treehouse die, gives you a cool special move (check out the chart for all the details). The second one, a regular six-sided die, tells you how many spaces you can move.

    Let’s Get Moving!

Hey there! When it’s my turn, I can choose to move at any point – before, after, or even in the middle of using my Movement Points. Pretty cool, right? Oh, and don’t forget – I have to follow the arrowheads and move in the directions they indicate.

Now, how far I can move depends on how many pips my piece has. So, to move my Queen, it’ll cost me three Movement Points for just one space. But if I want to move my Drone, it only takes two Movement Points for one space. And my little Pawns? Well, they’re the easiest – they only cost one Movement Point per space they move.

Speaking of pieces, I can only move the ones that are the same color as me. I can’t move a piece if another piece is already on top of it. But, here’s a neat trick – I can actually move a piece to the top of the stack it’s in! I just need to spend the right amount of Movement Points to move that piece one space up.

You have the freedom to distribute your Movement Points among different pieces. You can use them on one pyramid, take an Action, and then use them on the same pyramid again. You don’t have to use all of your Movement Points if you don’t want to.

TIP – Totally Increase Points! Regardless of your other roll, you now have 7 Movement Points. SWAP – Choose any two coasters to swap. Note that their orientations won’t change. HOP – Select a coaster and move it to a different spot. You can also rotate the coaster freely. DIG – Move as many of your pieces as you like to the tops of the towers they are in. AIM – Rotate as many coasters as you want in place. WILD – Choose any of the other five options that you prefer.

Hint: Don’t forget about the importance of preserving the HTML markup exactly as it is, and make sure to vary your sentence structures and lengths for engaging readability!

Remember: You must keep the HTML markup intact!

Hey there! I wanted to talk to you about this cool game called Hop, where you get to build a coaster and compete against others. The goal is to be the first player to build a nest in the center of your coaster. It doesn’t matter if there are other players’ pieces in your way; you can just build your nest on top of any obstructions. However, you can’t have other colored pieces between your own.

Now, when it comes to hopping in this game, there are a few things to keep in mind. You can’t hop in a way that would cause any coaster to become disconnected from the rest. You can hop to the same location, but you have to change the orientation of your coaster. You can also use the Hop action to aim at a single coaster, but you can only do multiple Aim or Dig actions at once.

And here’s an important detail: your Treehouse Action is optional. You don’t have to use it if you don’t want to.

So, are you ready to build your coaster and aim for victory? Let’s get hopping!
