Getting Ready

Let’s set things up! Take 10 Job cards at random and mix in the “My Job” Job card. Then, add 5 more Job cards on top, creating a stack of 16 jobs. Now, shuffle all the Qualification cards and place them next to the job pile.

Your play area is ready. Flip over 10 Qualification cards and arrange them face up in the center. We need to choose one player to be the Employer and the rest of us will be Applicants.

How to Play the Game

And here’s where things get interesting – when you reveal your qualifications to the employer, make sure to describe how each one makes you qualified for the job. The Job is then handed over to the chosen one, and all the used Qualifications are tossed aside. The person sitting to the left of the Employer becomes the Employer for the next round, and the lucky Job winner gets to go first. The game keeps going in a clockwise direction.

So here’s how the game goes: we keep playing rounds until we reveal the card “My Job.” Once that happens, we know it’s the last round, and that’s when you apply for the Employer’s real-life Job or any Job you want. The player with the most Job cards at the end of the final round is the winner. It’s totally fine if there are ties.

Some things to keep in mind:

Your goal as an Applicant is to use every card in your hand when applying for the Job. How you use a Qualification is completely up to you. For example, a “Treats” card can mean different things to different people.
