Welcome to the Exciting World of Dixit: Jinx!
How to Play: In Dixit: Jinx, the objective is to get your teammates to guess the correct word based on the clues you provide. Each round, you will have just a few seconds to describe your word with a single word or phrase. It’s a fast-paced game that will challenge your creativity and quick thinking!
Setup
First, gather your friends and sit in a circle. Make sure each player has their set of voting tokens. Shuffle the deck of cards and select a starting player. The starting player will have the timer and act as the clue giver for the first round.
The Rounds
During each round, the clue giver will draw a card from the deck and secretly look at the word written on it. The clue giver then has a few seconds to come up with a clue – a single word or phrase – that describes the word on the card without revealing it.
Once the clue giver is ready, they start the timer and say their clue out loud. The other players listen carefully and try to guess the correct word based on the clue. They have until the timer runs out to submit their guesses.
Guessing
After the timer stops, all players (except the clue giver) simultaneously choose one of their voting tokens and place it face down in front of them to indicate their guess. The voting tokens have different colors or symbols and correspond to different words.
Once everyone has chosen their tokens, the clue giver reveals the word on the card. Players now compare their guesses and turn over their voting tokens. If your token matches the revealed word, you score a point!
However, there’s a twist – if multiple players guess the same word, they cancel each other out, and no one scores a point. So, you need to come up with a clue that is unique enough to differentiate it from other words.
Scoring
After each round, players tally up their scores. If your guess was correct and unique, you earn one point. If your guess matches someone else’s, or if you didn’t guess the correct word, you don’t score any points.
The clue giver passes the timer to the next player, who becomes the new clue giver for the next round. Play continues clockwise until everyone has had a chance to be the clue giver. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins!
Enjoy the Game!
Dixit: Jinx is a game of wit, creativity, and quick thinking. It’s all about finding the perfect clue and reading your opponents’ minds. So, gather your friends, embrace the challenge, and let the fun begin! Are you ready to Jinx?
- There are 9 Position Cards.
- There are 71 double-sided Image Cards.
Getting Ready
Depending on how many players there are, you may need to remove some Image Cards.
- If there are 3 players: remove 30 Image Cards. Use the rest to make the draw pile.
- If there are 4 players: remove 20 Image Cards. Use the rest to make the draw pile.
- If there are 5 players: remove 10 Image Cards. Use the rest to make the draw pile.
- If there are 6 players: use all of the Image Cards to make the draw pile.
Make sure to shuffle the Image Cards that make up the draw pile.
Okay, here’s what you need to do: set up nine position cards on the table in a 3×3 square, like the example to the right. Got it so far? Great! Now, the youngest player gets to start.
That player is called the active player. They grab all the position cards and hold them in their hand. The rest of the players just need to put their index finger on the table.
How to Play
What the Active Player Does
First, I shuffle all the Position cards and make sure they’re face-down. Then, I draw one card and take a look at it without showing it to anyone else. This card shows one of the nine images of the square, and there’s a red square to indicate which one it is.
Now, it’s my job to give the other players a hint so they can try to guess which card it is. I can use a word, a sentence, or even make a gesture that somehow connects to the image on the card.
Remember: The Position card always has a black arrow that points upwards. It should be perpendicular to the 3×3 square made up of the Image cards.
Figuring out the active player’s card
Once I’ve given my clue, each player needs to find the image card I was talking about as quickly as they can.
Okay, here’s how this game works. I’m going to explain it to you step by step, so you can understand how to play.
First, each player needs to place their index finger on the Image card they think is the correct one. It’s important that you do this as quickly as possible. Once you’ve chosen a card, you can’t change your mind. Only one player can have their finger on a card at a time.
Now, if two or more players happen to touch the same card at the same time, the first one to shout “JINX!” gets to keep their finger on the card. The other players will have to pick a different card. And as the cards are chosen, the person in charge will say “no” if the chosen card is not correct.
If a player selects the wrong card, they’re out of the game. They won’t be able to make any more guesses. But if they choose the right card, the person in charge will say “yes”. And that’s the end of the turn.
Remember, until the correct card is found, everyone has to keep trying to find it. You can’t give up!

First and foremost, it’s crucial to understand the importance of choosing the right keywords for your website. Keywords are the words and phrases that users enter into search engines when looking for information. They play a significant role in determining whether your website appears in search results and how high it ranks. Therefore, proper keyword selection is vital to ensure your website’s visibility and reach your target audience.
There are several factors you should consider when choosing keywords. Firstly, you need to identify the main topics or themes of your website. What are the primary subjects you want your website to be associated with? By knowing this, you can find keywords that align with these topics and improve your chances of ranking higher in search results.
Secondly, it’s important to research the competitiveness of keywords. Some keywords are highly competitive, meaning many websites are already targeting them. It can be challenging to rank well for these keywords if you are just starting or have limited resources. On the other hand, some keywords are less competitive, presenting an opportunity to rank higher more easily. Finding a balance between competitiveness and relevance is essential when choosing keywords.
Thirdly, consider the search volume of keywords. Search volume refers to the number of times a keyword is searched for in a given period. Choosing keywords with a high search volume can mean more potential traffic to your website. However, keep in mind that high search volume keywords may also have more competition. It’s important to strike a balance between search volume and competition to maximize your website’s visibility.
In conclusion, choosing the right keywords for your website is crucial for improving your search engine rankings and reaching your target audience. By considering factors such as topic relevance, competitiveness, and search volume, you can make informed decisions that increase your website’s visibility and drive more traffic.

First things first, let’s talk about something super important – keywords. You might wonder, what are these keywords everyone keeps talking about? Well, when you search for something on the internet, like information about puppies or how to make a cake, you type certain words or phrases into search engines like Google. These words or phrases are what we call keywords. They play a really big role in deciding if your website appears in search results and how high it shows up. That’s why choosing the right keywords is super crucial if you want your website to be seen and connect with the people you’re trying to reach.
So, how do you go about picking the right keywords? Here are a few things you should think about. First, you need to figure out the main topics or themes of your website. What are the things you want your website to be all about? Once you know that, you can find keywords that fit those topics and make it easier for your website to show up in search results.
Next, you should consider how many other websites are targeting the same keywords. Some keywords are really popular and lots of websites use them. It can be tough to rank well for those keywords if you’re just starting out or don’t have many resources. But here’s the cool part – there are also keywords that not many people are using yet. These keywords can give you a better chance of showing up higher in search results. The key is to find the right balance between popular and not-so-popular keywords that are still relevant to your website.
Another thing to think about is how often people search for those keywords. We call this search volume. If a keyword has a high search volume, it means lots of people are searching for it. That can be a good thing because it means more people might find your website. But keep in mind, high search volume keywords often have more competition. So, you want to choose keywords that have a decent search volume but aren’t too competitive. That way, your website can get noticed without getting lost in the crowd.
In conclusion, picking the right keywords for your website is a big deal. It can make a huge difference in how well your website shows up in search results and whether people can find it. By thinking about things like your website’s topics, competitiveness, and search volume, you can make smart choices that boost your website’s visibility and bring more people your way. So, get ready to choose some awesome keywords and make your website shine!
Hey there! So, here’s how this game works: when it’s my turn to play, I have to find the card in the upper left corner. But here’s the catch – if I give an obvious clue like “maze,” someone will find the right card right away, and I won’t score any points.
So, it’s better for me to give a clue that’s a bit trickier. For example, I could say “intersection.” That way, some players might choose the wrong card before finding the right one.
Now, let’s talk about scoring:
- If a player finds the card I’m looking for, they get to keep it and place it in front of them.
- I get to take all the Image cards that were chosen incorrectly before the right one was found. I’ll place those cards in front of me.
If nobody finds the right Image card, you’ll have to give up one of the Image cards in front of you and put it back at the bottom of the deck. Remember, the Image cards pointed at after your card is found don’t count.
Now, let me explain what happens at the end of the turn. All the cards that have been selected, including the correct card if it wasn’t found, are discarded. Then we take three cards by three cards to make a new square from the deck. The player on the left of the current player becomes the new active player, and a new turn begins.
Finally, let me explain how the game ends. The game ends when we can’t complete the square using Image cards anymore. The player with the most Image cards in front of them is the winner. So, keep collecting those Image cards and aim for victory!
