Seaside Kingdom Card Descriptions

Hey there! Let’s dive into the wonderful world of Seaside Kingdom cards. These cards are packed with excitement and strategy, and they’ll leave you eager for more. So, let’s get started and explore the unique features of each card!

Wharf

Do you love treasures? Then Wharf is the card for you! When you play this card, you get a lovely bonus of two cards and an extra buy. Plus, it sticks around in play for another turn, giving you even more opportunities to uncover treasures. Trust me, Wharf is a real game-changer!

Tactician

If you’re looking for a card that can really boost your hand, Tactician is the one. It allows you to draw a massive amount of cards and gives you a nice pile of coins to spend. But here’s the catch: once you’ve played it, you have to discard all the cards in your hand. But don’t worry, because on your next turn, you’ll get a fresh set of cards to work with. Tactician is all about carefully planning your moves!

Ghost Ship

Get ready to send chills down your opponents’ spines with the Ghost Ship. This card lets you attack your opponents by forcing them to discard cards from their hand. Not only that, but they also have to put the cards they draw onto the top of their deck. It’s a fantastic way to disrupt their strategy and gain an upper hand in the game.

Salvager

Salvager is the perfect card for turning trash into treasure. When you play this card, you can trash one of your own cards and gain coins equal to its cost. It’s like finding a hidden gem among the rubble. With Salvager, you can transform unwanted cards into valuable resources and take control of the game.

Remember, these card descriptions only scratch the surface of what Seaside Kingdom has to offer. Each card brings its own unique twist to your gameplay, so explore, experiment, and find the strategies that work best for you. Get ready for a whirlwind of fun in Seaside Kingdom!

First, I want you to pick a card from your hand and show it to everyone. Once you’ve done that, you can decide if you want to put up to 2 copies of that card back in the supply. It’s totally up to you if you want to keep them or not. After you’ve made your decision, it’s time for the other players to get a copy of that card from the supply.

Just a heads up, if there aren’t any more cards of the chosen type left in the supply, some players might not get one. We make sure everyone gets a card by going in turn order, starting with the next player. Oh, and one more thing, if you don’t have any other cards in your hand when you play this, then it won’t do anything. So make sure you’ve got some cards to choose from!

Bazaar

Imagine this: you’re playing a game, and suddenly, you draw a card. It’s like a little surprise that adds to the excitement. But not only that, this card gives you a boost – you get 2 more Actions and an extra coin to spend!

Caravan

When it’s time for your next turn, you’ll get to draw a card – but not before then. The Caravan card will be discarded during the Clean-up phase of the turn that follows.

Cutpurse

When it’s my turn to play a card called “Embargo,” each player must get rid of exactly one Copper card from their hand. If they don’t have any Copper, they have to show their entire hand to everyone.

Dominion Seaside Kingdom Card Descriptions UltraFoodMess

Hey there! When playing this game, you have the freedom to choose any pile from the supply. It gets interesting when multiple Embargo cards are used to put Embargo tokens on the same pile. In that case, every time you buy a card from that pile, you also get a Curse card for each Embargo token on it. However, if you gain a card from an Embargoed pile without buying it, like using Smugglers, you won’t get a Curse card.

Now, if you decide to Throne Room an Embargo card, things get even more exciting. You get to place two Embargo tokens, and the best part is they don’t have to go on the same Supply pile! But wait, what if you run out of Embargo tokens? No worries! Just use a suitable replacement marker to indicate the Embargoed piles. Just keep in mind, if there are no Curses left, the Embargo tokens won’t have any effect.

Explorer

Hey there! Let me tell you something cool. Did you know that you have the power to choose whether or not to reveal a Province? It’s totally up to you! And guess what? If you decide to reveal it, you’ll be rewarded with a shiny Gold. But if you decide against revealing it, no worries! You’ll still get a Silver. Cool, right?

Now, let’s talk about the Fishing Village

Dominion Seaside Kingdom Card Descriptions UltraFoodMess

When you play the Ghost Ship card during your turn, it grants you a coin to spend and an additional 2 Actions to use. This is a significant boost to your resources and allows for more strategic options. You’ll have a total of 3 Actions to take on your turn, which includes your regular Action. Keep this card in front of you until the Clean-up phase of your next turn.

Dominion Seaside Kingdom Card Descriptions UltraFoodMess

When playing this game, you and the other players have the ability to select which cards you want to include in your deck and how you want to arrange them. However, it’s important to note that these choices don’t impact other players who already have only three cards in their hand. If a player has no cards left in their deck, they don’t need to shuffle. Instead, the cards that are put back into their deck become the only cards they have.

A Special Card: Haven

Dominion Seaside Kingdom Card Descriptions UltraFoodMess

So here’s how it goes: I start by drawing a card. Then, I pick one from my hand and secretly set it aside, face down. I place that card on the Haven, just to help me remember what it’s meant for. The other players aren’t allowed to see the card I put down.

It’s important to note that setting aside a card is not optional; I have to do it. The Haven and the set aside card stay there until my next turn begins. When that happens, I take the set aside card and add it back to my hand. However, the Haven card itself gets discarded during the Clean-up phase of that subsequent turn.

Now let’s talk about the Island card.

Dominion Seaside Kingdom Card Descriptions UltraFoodMess

Hey there! So, when you grab this card, make sure to grab an Island player mat too. Island is super cool because it’s both an Action card and a Victory card. Now, depending on how many players there are, you’ll want to grab either 12 Islands for a 3 or 4-player game, or 8 Islands for a 2-player game. Place the Island and the card that goes with it on the Island player mat, face up. It’s important to remember that you don’t include these cards in your deck when you shuffle your discard pile. They only come back at the end of the game when you’re tallying up your victory points.

Speaking of victory points, Island is worth 2 shield. If you play Island and don’t have any other cards in your hand, just set it aside on its own. Now, here’s where things get interesting. If you Throne Room an Island, set aside the Island along with one card from your hand, and then set aside another card from your hand. Pretty neat, right?

By the way, feel free to take a peek at the cards on your Island player mat. They’re face up, so you and the other players can check them out.

Lighthouse

Dominion Seaside Kingdom Card Descriptions UltraFoodMess

When it’s my turn, I get to do something and earn a coin, but on my next turn, I will only get a coin. It’s nice because even if someone tries to attack me with their cards, it won’t affect me at all, even if I want it to.

If someone plays an Attack card, I can reveal Secret Chamber and draw 2 cards. Then, I can choose 2 cards from my hand to put back on top of my deck. The best part is, I won’t be harmed by the Attack card.

But don’t worry, I still get the good stuff from playing Attack cards on my own turn, like drawing extra cards. However, Lighthouse will be discarded at the end of my next turn during the Clean-up phase.

Check out Lookout!

Dominion Seaside Kingdom Card Descriptions UltraFoodMess

If you don’t have 3 cards to check from the top of your deck, look at as many as you can and then shuffle your discard pile to see the remaining cards.

You need to examine all 3 cards before making decisions on which card to get rid of, which card to discard, and which card to put back on top of your deck. If the 3 cards you see are the last 3 cards in your deck, the card you put back on top will be the only one left in your deck.

If you have less than 3 cards to look at, even after shuffling, then you must follow the instructions on the card in order. If you only have one card to look at, you must get rid of it. If you have 2 cards to look at, you must get rid of one and discard the other.

Merchant Ship

You’re given 2 coins to spend this turn, and another 2 on your next turn. Keep it in front of you until the Clean-up phase of your next turn.

Native Village

Dominion Seaside Kingdom Card Descriptions UltraFoodMess

When you first get one of these things, you grab a Native Village player mat and put cards from this thing on it. When you play Native Village, you either take all of the cards that you set aside on your Native Village player mat and put them into your hand, or you take the top card from your deck, turn it face down, and place it on your Native Village player mat (remember to shuffle your deck if you need to). You can choose either option, even if you don’t have any cards on your mat or in your deck.

You can look at the cards on your Native Village player mat anytime you want. At the end of the game, any cards that are still on your mat go back into your deck for scoring. Native Village itself doesn’t get set aside; it goes to your discard pile during the Clean-up phase.

Navigator

When it comes to playing this game, you have a simple decision to make: either discard all five cards or keep them all. If you decide to keep them, you can arrange them in any order that you like. But here’s the catch: if you don’t have five cards left in your deck, you’ll need to take a different approach. You should look at as many cards as you can and then shuffle your discard pile (excluding the cards you just looked at). After that, you can take a look at the remaining cards in your deck.

But what if you still don’t have five cards? Well, don’t worry. You can simply look at however many cards are left and decide whether to put them back or discard them. The choice is yours.

Outpost

Dominion Seaside Kingdom Card Descriptions UltraFoodMess

When you play Outpost, something interesting happens. Instead of drawing the usual 5 cards, you only draw 3. This is called the extra turn and it’s a normal part of the game.

During the extra turn, Outpost stays in front of you until it ends. If you played Outpost along with a card that says “Now and at the start of your next turn,” like Merchant Ship, then the turn from Outpost will be your next turn. That means you’ll get the coins from Merchant Ship during that turn.

Now, here’s something to keep in mind. If you manage to play Outpost twice in one turn, you won’t get two extra turns. You’ll still only get one. And if you play Outpost during an extra turn, it won’t give you another turn.

Let’s Talk About Pearl Diver

Dominion Seaside Kingdom Card Descriptions UltraFoodMess

Hey there! Let’s talk about a cool card ability called “Draw a card.” It’s pretty neat because it lets me draw a card from my deck before I sneak a peek at the bottom card. But here’s the trick: if I put the card on top of my deck, I have to make sure not to peek at the next card on the bottom while I’m moving it. Now, if I don’t have any cards left to look at, I’ve got to shuffle my deck before taking a peek at the bottom. Arr, matey!

Yo-ho-ho, Pirate Ship!

Dominion Seaside Kingdom Card Descriptions UltraFoodMess

When you first get this card, you’ll also receive a Pirate Ship player mat. If you choose to discard treasures using the Pirate Ship, a player who only has one card left will reveal that last card, shuffle their deck to find the other card to reveal (without including the one that was revealed), and a player with no cards left will shuffle to reveal both of them.

If a player still doesn’t have two cards to reveal after shuffling, they will reveal as many cards as they can. Each player can discard a maximum of one Treasure card, which will be chosen by the attacker, from the two revealed cards. If you discarded at least one Treasure card this way, you will place a Coin token on your Pirate Ship player mat. Remember, no matter how many treasures the Pirate Ship discards, you can only receive one Coin token each time you play it.

If you decide not to steal treasures from other players, the Pirate Ship will give you one coin for each Coin token on your Pirate Ship player mat.

The number of Coin tokens adds up, so if you use your Pirate Ships to steal coins three times (and you always steal at least one Treasure card), each Pirate Ship you play will be worth three coins.

Pirate Ship is an Action-Attack card, and you have the option to reveal Secret Chamber even if you want to use Pirate Ship for its coin value.

Salvager

Dominion Seaside Kingdom Card Descriptions UltraFoodMess

If you have at least one card in your hand, you have to get rid of one. If you don’t have any cards left to get rid of, you won’t get any coins, but you’ll still get +1 Buy.

The Sea Witch

Dominion Seaside Kingdom Card Descriptions UltraFoodMess

So here’s the deal: if I’m playing a card game and I run out of cards in my deck, I gotta shuffle my deck first before I can discard any cards. But if I still got no cards left after shuffling, then tough luck, I don’t gotta discard anything. Now, if I happen to be discarding my very last card and it turns out to be a Curse card, well, guess what? That Curse becomes the one and only card in my deck. Yikes!

Now, let’s say we’re playing with this crazy card called Sea Hag. If there aren’t enough Curse cards left for everyone to get one, we gotta deal ’em out in order, starting with the player sitting to the left of the person who played the Sea Hag card. Gotta be fair, you know?

But wait, there’s more!

Dominion Seaside Kingdom Card Descriptions UltraFoodMess

So here’s how it works: I’ll be looking at the most recent turn of the player to your right, even if you’ve taken multiple turns in a row. If that player didn’t gain any cards, or they only gained cards that cost more than 6, then Smugglers doesn’t do anything.

But if that player did manage to gain multiple cards that cost 6 or less, then you get to choose which one you want to get a copy of. Pretty cool, right? Now, the cards you get have to come from the supply, so you can’t just snatch any old card from anyone’s hand. They can be any card that the previous player gained, whether they bought it or got it some other way. Yes, that even includes cards that the previous player got with Smugglers. Talk about sneaky!

Now, if the previous player happened to gain a card using the Black Market, well, tough luck for you. You won’t be able to get a copy of it because there aren’t any copies of it in the supply. Sneaky, sneaky! And just so you know, this isn’t an Attack, so those pesky Lighthouse and Moat cards won’t be able to save you.

Now, let’s talk about Tactician:

Dominion Seaside Kingdom Card Descriptions UltraFoodMess

When you play Tactician, you won’t immediately draw the additional 5 cards. Instead, you’ll have to wait until the start of your next turn to draw them. Tactician will remain in front of you until the Clean-up phase on your next turn.

Since you need to discard at least one card to activate Tactician’s bonuses, it’s impossible to use Throne Room on Tactician to draw +10 cards, gain +2 Buys, and have +2 Actions.

The first time you play Tactician, you’ll have to discard all of your cards. This means you won’t have any cards left in your hand to trigger the card drawing, extra Buy, or extra Action when you play Tactician for the second time.

Treasure Map

Dominion Seaside Kingdom Card Descriptions UltraFoodMess

Hey there! Let me explain how this game mechanic works in a way that’s easy to understand. No fancy jargon, I promise!

So, here’s the deal: You don’t need another Treasure Map in your hand to play this card. If you happen to have another one, you can trash this card and get nothing in return. Sounds like a bummer, right?

What you really want to do is trash two copies of Treasure Map to gain the Golds. Let me give you an example to make things clearer. Imagine you have a Throne Room card and two more Treasure Maps in your hand. When you play the Throne Room and activate the first Treasure Map, you’ll trash it and another one, and then gain 4 Golds. Cool, right? But here’s the catch: the second time you activate the Treasure Map, you’ll trash your other one, but you won’t gain anything because you didn’t actually get rid of the played Treasure Map that time.

If there aren’t enough Gold cards left, don’t worry. Just grab as many as you can. The Golds you gained will go straight to the top of your Deck. And guess what? If your Deck was empty, those Golds will be the only cards in it. Exciting, isn’t it?

Treasury

Dominion Seaside Kingdom Card Descriptions UltraFoodMess

If you buy multiple cards and at least one of them is a Victory card, then you can’t put any of your Treasuries on top of your deck. But if you played multiple Treasuries and didn’t buy a Victory card this turn, then you have the option to put any or all of the played Treasuries on top of your deck.

However, if you accidentally discard a Treasury to your discard pile, then you’re essentially choosing not to use its optional ability. You can’t go back and retrieve it later.

It’s worth noting that gaining a Victory card without actually buying it, like with Smugglers, doesn’t prevent you from putting a Treasury on top of your deck.

Warehouse

Dominion Seaside Kingdom Card Descriptions UltraFoodMess

If you don’t have enough cards in your deck to draw 3, don’t worry! Just draw as many cards as you can and then shuffle your discard pile. Afterwards, draw the remaining cards from your deck.

But what if you still can’t draw 3 cards? Well, in that case, you should just draw as many cards as you can. Don’t worry, it happens to all of us!

Now, even if you couldn’t draw 3 cards, you still need to discard 3. Yes, I know, it seems unfair, but it’s the rule. You can choose to discard any combination of cards you just drew with the Warehouse, or you can discard cards that were already in your hand.

Wharf

Dominion Seaside Kingdom Card Descriptions UltraFoodMess

When you play this card, I want you to imagine that something magical is happening. Close your eyes and envision that you are pulling two cards out of thin air. It’s as if the universe is conspiring to give you an advantage. And that’s not all – you also get an extra Buy, like a bonus that allows you to purchase even more cards.

But the magic doesn’t stop there. When your next turn begins, you get to draw two more cards and receive another extra Buy. It’s like the universe is rewarding you for your strategic brilliance. These additional cards and Buy are yours to keep until the Clean-up phase of your next turn.

So, hold onto this card and remember the power it holds. It’s a gift from the universe, a boost to your strategy. And when the time is right, unleash it and revel in the advantages it brings.
