Game Rules for Unstable Unicorns
Hey there! Are you ready to learn about one of the quirkiest card games out there? Well, get ready, because I’m going to tell you all about the rules for the fabulous Unstable Unicorns game!
Objective
The objective of Unstable Unicorns is simple: be the first player to collect seven Unicorn cards in your stable. It may sound easy, but trust me, the path to victory is full of unexpected twists and turns!
Setup
Before we get into the nitty-gritty of the game, let’s talk about the setup. First, each player starts with a single Baby Unicorn card in their stable. Then, the deck is shuffled and five cards are dealt to each player. The remaining cards form a draw pile in the center of the play area, and the top card is flipped face-up to create a discard pile.
Playing the Game
Now it’s time to dive into the gameplay. On your turn, you have three options:
- Draw a card: You can draw a card from the draw pile. This is a great way to increase your options and find powerful Unicorn cards.
- Play a card: You can play a card from your hand. Each card has a unique effect that can help you or hinder your opponents. Use them wisely!
- Discard a card: If you don’t want to play any cards or your hand is too full, you can discard a card from your hand. Just remember, once a card is in the discard pile, it’s out of the game!
Throughout the game, you’ll encounter a variety of cards, including magical unicorns, awesome upgrades, devastating downgrades, and sneaky instant cards. Be prepared for anything!
Winning the Game
Remember, the goal is to collect seven Unicorn cards in your stable. But that’s not the only way to win! Some cards have special win conditions, so keep an eye out for those. And be on the lookout for action cards that can completely change the game in an instant.
Final Thoughts
Phew! That was a lot of information, but now you’re ready to venture into the whimsical world of Unstable Unicorns. Whether you’re playing with friends or family, the game is sure to bring laughter and excitement to your game nights. So go ahead and gather your herd, shuffle those cards, and let the magic begin! Good luck, and may the most unstable unicorn prevail!

Imagine starting your unicorn journey with a baby unicorn in your stable. From there, you can build your very own unicorn army. Each magical unicorn comes with its own special power, but don’t overlook the power of basic unicorns!
To ensure the safety and growth of your stable, make use of upgrades and downgrades. These cards will help you protect your stable and improve it. How to Win the Game?
The goal of Unstable Unicorns is to be the first person to collect the required number of unicorns in your Stable. Once you reach that number, you become the ultimate ruler of all things magical! Everyone will have to bow down to you. Of course, this glorious title is only temporary and will last until the next game begins.

In this guide, I want to talk about something super fun – a game called Unstable Unicorns. If you’re a fan of games (and who isn’t, right?), you’re going to love this one! It’s a card game that involves strategy, luck, and a little bit of unicorn magic.
So, here’s the deal. The goal of the game is to be the first player to collect a certain number of unicorns. How many unicorns you need depends on the number of players. Let me break it down for you:
If there are 3-5 players, the goal is to collect 7 unicorns to win the game. That’s right – lucky number 7!
Now, if there are a few more players, say 6-8 players, the number of unicorns to win decreases slightly. In this case, you only need to collect 6 unicorns to come out on top.
Isn’t that neat? It’s a game that can be played with a small group of friends or even a larger gathering. And the best part is, the rules are easy to understand and the gameplay is fast-paced and exciting.
So, if you’re into card games and adorable unicorns, Unstable Unicorns is definitely worth checking out. Gather your friends, shuffle those cards, and let the unicorn mayhem begin!
Getting Ready
I’ll start by gathering all the Baby Unicorns from the deck. Each player should have one Baby Unicorn in their Stable. The remaining Baby Unicorns will be placed in a stack, which we’ll call the Nursery.
Next, I’ll shuffle the rest of the cards and deal 5 to each player. The stack of cards that’s left will be our Draw Pile.
Hey there! Let’s talk about colors and unicorns. I think it’s pretty obvious that if you’re wearing the most colors, you’re the most unicorn-like, so naturally, you go first!
Now, I know you might be wondering why I said that. Well, it’s because colors have a special way of making us feel, you know? They have this amazing power to brighten up our day and bring a smile to our face. And unicorns, well, they’re just magical creatures that symbolize that sense of wonder and joy. So, when you combine colors and unicorns, you get something truly amazing!
Colors are like a secret language. They can express our feelings and emotions without us even saying a word. Just think about it – when you see a rainbow, how does it make you feel? For me, it makes me feel happy and hopeful. And that’s the power of colors. They have the ability to uplift our spirits and bring a little bit of magic into our lives.
Now, when it comes to unicorns, they’re these majestic creatures that capture our imagination and make us believe in the extraordinary. They’re like a burst of color in a black and white world. Unicorns remind us to embrace our uniqueness and to always dream big. They teach us that anything is possible if we just believe.
So, my friend, remember that the next time you see a splash of color or a glimpse of a unicorn, it’s a reminder to embrace your true self, to chase your dreams, and to never be afraid to stand out. Because, after all, whoever is wearing the most colors is obviously the unicorniest!

How to Play the Game
When you play the game, there are a few important steps to follow. Let me walk you through them.
The Start of Your Turn
First, it’s your turn to play. Everyone takes turns going around the table. Each turn has four phases that you need to know about.
The Draw Phase
In this phase, you get to draw a card from the Draw Pile. This will help you build your hand and give you more options for your next move.
The Action Phase
Now it’s time to take action! You have two choices in this phase. You can either play one card from your hand or draw one more card from the Draw Pile. Think carefully about your move and choose the option that will give you the best advantage.
Playing a card from your hand allows you to make a strategic move, while drawing a card gives you more options for your next turn. It’s up to you to decide which move is the right one.
The End of Your Turn
Finally, it’s the end of your turn. Take a moment to review your move and prepare for the next player’s turn. The game will continue clockwise around the table until someone wins.
Remember, each turn has these four phases: the start of your turn, the draw phase, the action phase, and the end of your turn. By following these steps, you’ll be able to play the game smoothly and have a lot of fun!

When you have too many cards in your hand, you need to discard some of them. This is especially important if you’re holding more than 7 cards. It’s a simple rule, but it’s one that you need to remember.
The Different Types of Cards
Instant Cards

When you play an Instant Card, you can stop someone from playing a card right away. After you use the Instant Card, it goes to the Discard Pile.
Enhance

If you want to make someone’s Stable better, you can play an Upgrade Card during your turn. This will give their Stable a positive effect. Of course, you can also play an Upgrade Card on your own Stable to make it even better!
But what about Downgrade Cards? Well, these are a bit different. When you play a Downgrade Card on someone’s Stable, it has the opposite effect. It makes their Stable worse instead of better.

Hey there! Want to shake things up and cause some chaos in the game? Well, I’ve got just the thing for you! Introducing the mighty Downgrade Card. When it’s your turn, play this card to give an opponent’s Stable a negative effect. Oh yes, you get to pick who to target!
Prepare for Mayhem

When I play a Magic Card on my turn, it’s like unleashing chaos. I get to use the Magic Card’s power and then it goes to the Discard Pile.
Meet the Magical Unicorn

Hey there! Let me tell you all about playing a Magical Unicorn Card. It’s super easy, and you’ll have a blast!
Magical Unicorns

Let’s talk about the Basic Unicorn – a simple, yet special card that you can play in your Stable during your turn. Unlike other cards, Basic Unicorns don’t have powers, but that doesn’t make them any less important.
Baby Unicorn

Every player starts with a Baby Unicorn in their Stable. You can only summon more by using special cards!
What if you run out of cards?
If you’re a stickler, the game ends when you run out of cards. If no one completed their Unicorn Army, no one gets to be The Righteous Ruler of All Things Magical.
If you’re a rule-breaker, you can reshuffle the discard pile back into the deck when you’re out of cards. The rules say not to, but you just don’t give a care. You’re a rebel. Good for you.
If you are a Baby Unicorn, the game ends when you flip the table. Don’t be a Baby Unicorn. You’re better than that.
Notes:
If you have more than 7 cards at the end of your turn, you need to discard down to 7. But if you have less than 7 cards, don’t be greedy and draw more. Remember, it’s important to be patient.
If you run out of Baby Unicorn cards, don’t worry. You can use spare change, gum wrappers, or lint from your pockets to represent additional baby unicorns.
When the card called Pandamonium is in play, all of your unicorns become pandas. However, their effects and abilities remain the same.

End of the Game
Winning the game is simple: be the first person to assemble your Unicorn Army!
Words you need to know
Let’s go over some key terms:
Stable: This is where you’ll play your Unicorns, Upgrades, and Downgrades.
In Play: These are the cards currently in a player’s Stable.
Bring Directly Into Play: When you use this action, you can immediately add a card to your Stable. It doesn’t count as your Action for the turn.
Sacrifice: This is when you send a card from your Stable to the Discard Pile.
Destroy: Use this action to send a card from another player’s Stable to the Discard Pile.
Discard: When you send a card from your hand to the Discard Pile, it’s called discarding.
