The deck is packed with loads of these special WILD cards, as well as some awesome WILD action cards. Prepare yourself for a range of classic take-that actions, along with some brand new ones that will elevate the game to new heights! Discover the Exciting Cards in UNO All Wild!
In the UNO All Wild deck, there are a total of 112 cards. Most of these cards are the regular Wild cards, but there are also seven action cards that add some extra excitement to the game.
One of these action cards is the Wild Reverse card. When this card is played, it changes the direction of play. For example, if we were going clockwise, the play will switch to going counterclockwise.
Another action card is the Wild Skip card. When this card is played, the next player is skipped, and they lose their turn. It’s like pressing a pause button on their ability to play.
The Wild Draw Two card is another powerful action card. When played, it forces the next player to draw two cards from the draw pile. Not only do they have to add these cards to their hand, but they also lose their turn. It’s a double whammy!
Then there’s the infamous Draw Four card. When this card is played, the next player has to draw four cards from the draw pile. Just like with the Wild Draw Two card, they also lose their turn. It’s a heavy penalty!
We also have the Wild Targeted Draw Two card. When this card is played, the player gets to choose one opponent who then has to draw two cards from the pile. However, unlike the other draw cards, the chosen opponent doesn’t lose their next turn. It’s a bit more forgiving.
Lastly, there’s the Double Skip card. When this card is played, the next two players in line are skipped, just like with the regular Skip card. It adds an extra layer of suspense and strategy!
When you play the Wild Forced Swap card, you get to choose a player to swap hands with. Both of you exchange your cards. But here’s the catch – if either of you ends up with only one card after the swap, you have to be quick and say UNO! If your opponent says UNO before you, you’ll have to draw two extra cards as a penalty. So be careful when you make this move!
SETUP
When you play UNO classic, the setup is pretty simple. Just shuffle the deck and deal seven cards to each player. You can take a look at your cards, but remember to keep them secret from your opponents.
Now, put the rest of the deck facedown in the middle of the table. Flip over the top card to start the discard pile. If the first card is an action card, that action comes into play. For instance, if the first card is a skip, the player who would normally go first gets skipped. But if the first card is a Target Draw Two, the dealer gets to pick who will draw cards. And don’t worry, that player doesn’t lose their first turn.
LET’S PLAY!
When playing the game, I start if I’m sitting to the left of the dealer. I can choose any card to play. What’s cool about this game is that all the cards are WILD, which means there’s always a card to play on every turn. If the card I play is an action card, then the action happens and the game keeps going. But if it’s just a normal WILD card, nothing really happens. I’ll just pass the turn to the next player.
Oh, and I can’t forget! I have to say UNO when I only have one card left!
If I forget to say UNO and another player says it before me, then I have to draw two extra cards as a punishment.
Here’s an interesting rule about drawing cards:
In a typical game, I can’t just decide to draw a card whenever I want — kind of a bummer, right? But there is one special situation where I can draw a card on my turn. If I don’t have an action card and the player after me is about to win the whole game, I can draw a card. I have to play it right away, though. If it’s an action card, I have to do what it says. But if it’s just a regular WILD card, tough luck for me! The next person gets to play their last card instead.
The round comes to an end
When someone plays their final card, that’s when the round is over. And guess what? They win that round! Pretty cool, huh? After we figure out the score for that round, we collect all the cards and the person to the left becomes the dealer for the next round. We keep playing rounds until we finish the game.
Calculating the score
Here comes the fun part – scoring! The player who gets rid of all their cards earns points in the round. The points are based on the cards that their opponents still have in their hands. So the fewer cards left in their opponents’ hands, the more points they earn. It’s all about playing smart and strategic!
If you’re playing the card game known as WILD, it’s important to understand the scoring system. You’ll come across two types of cards: WILD cards and WILD action cards. Each WILD card is worth a hefty 20 points, while the WILD action cards hold even more value, with a whopping 50 points each.
WINNING
The ultimate goal in the game of WILD is to be the first player to accumulate 500 points or more. Once you reach this milestone, you can proudly declare yourself the winner!
