TERRA
Hey there, welcome to Terra! It’s the ultimate game for those of us who love having random facts stored away in our brains. And the best part? You don’t even have to be exact with your answers to score points! Close enough counts too! Each round has three questions, all related to the same thing. So get ready to bluff your friends and act like a know-it-all, because they’re definitely going to follow your lead.
SETUP
First things first, let’s set up the game. Start by placing the game board in the center of the playing area. Then, give each player six markers in the color of their choice. Make sure to place one of your markers beside the first space on the track. Now, grab the cards from the box and make sure to exclude any cards with red borders. Save those for a later game. And that’s it! You’re all set and ready to kick off the fun.
GAMEPLAY
When we play the game of Tera, the person with the least knowledge holds the box of Tera cards. Each round has three different parts that we have to do – placing markers, scoring, and changing the starting player. To start off, the person who starts the game will read a card. They have to be careful not to take the card out of the box because that’s where the answer is hidden. Then, starting with that person and going around the group, we each put one of our markers on the board in an empty spot.
Some of the cards give us a clue about where the answer is. We can look at the box, but we can’t take the card out. We can put two markers if we want, but we need to wait until everyone has put down their first marker before we do that, or we might have to skip our turn.
Hey there! Let me explain how this super cool game works. First, we score the areas, and then we score the bars. Each marker can earn us seven points, three points, or no points at all. If we’re right, we score seven points, and if we’re close to the correct area or space, we get three points. After we score a card, we pass it to the next player in clockwise order. That player becomes the first player for the next round.
We keep playing like this until we’ve answered six cards. Once we reach that point, we’ll find out who the winner is!
The Game Ends
After six rounds of awesome gameplay, the game comes to an end. We’ll add up our points and see who has the most. If you have the most points, guess what? You win the game! How cool is that?
