Super hearts game rules – how to play super hearts

SUPER HEARTS

Hey there! I want to tell you about an awesome card game called Super Hearts. It’s a game that you play with 4 people, and the goal is to have the lowest score when the game ends. And guess what? The person with the lowest score gets paid by everyone else! How cool is that?

Before the game starts, you and your friends need to decide how much each point in the game is worth. That way, you know how much money is at stake!

SETUP

Alright, let’s get this game going! First things first, the cards are dealt in a clockwise direction, and they’re all face down. To decide who goes first, just pick someone randomly. Easy, right?

The dealer is the one in charge of shuffling the deck and dealing out 13 cards to each player. Now, here’s an important part – after every round, the dealer role moves to the player on the left. Everyone gets a chance to deal the cards!

Once everyone has their cards, it’s time to do something a little sneaky. Each player has to pass 3 cards to the person on their left. This adds a bit of strategy to the game, as you have to think about which cards to keep and which ones to give away. So choose wisely!

GAMEPLAY

Now that the setup is done, it’s time to start playing! The player who has the two of clubs goes first. Remember, the goal is to have the lowest score, so you want to get rid of high-value cards if you can. Keep an eye on what other players are doing, and try to guess what cards they might have. That way, you can plan your moves better!

When we play Super Hearts, it’s important for everyone to follow suit if they can. In this game, there is no special trump suit. The highest card of the leading suit wins the trick, and the winner gets to start the next round. If a player can’t follow suit, they can play any card from their hand. This is a good chance to get rid of high cards and avoid winning unwanted suits. The only rule is that Hearts and the queen of spades can’t be played in the very first trick, but they can be played in any trick after that if the player doesn’t have the suit that’s currently being led.

We can’t start a round by playing a heart until someone has played a heart or the queen of spades. However, the queen of spades can be played at any time during the game.

We’ll keep playing until the round is over and all the tricks have been played.

SCORING

So here’s the deal: we’re playing a game where the trick is to win the fewest number of tricks possible. And you know what’s even better? It’s all about NOT winning tricks that have Hearts or the queen of spades. In each round, we keep track of how many Hearts and the queen of spades each player has won, and at the end, the winner gets a payout. The catch is, you want to aim for the lowest score possible.

Let me break it down for you: each Heart you win is worth 1 point, and the queen of spades is worth a whopping 7 points. So, the goal is definitely to avoid those sneaky cards!

At the end of a round, the player with the lowest score (but with at least 1 point – having 0 points won’t cut it) wins the game. The other players will have to pay up, and the amount they pay is determined by the difference between their score and the winner’s score. If there’s a tie for the winner, the stakes are divided equally among the tied players.

The End Game

Once all the rounds are played and the payouts are settled, the game comes to an end. But don’t worry, you can always start a new round and keep the fun going!
