Now that you know the rules, it’s time to have some fun! Good luck and enjoy playing Snip Snap Snorem!
LET’S LEARN HOW TO PLAY THE GAME!
We’re going to play this exciting game using chips. Each of us will start by betting one chip, and if you have fewer cards than everyone else, you’ll need to bet an additional chip.
The game begins with the player to the left of the dealer. If you have a card, you can play it. The first player can play any card they want, and we’ll keep all the cards face up. We’ll arrange the played cards into four rows, each row representing a different suit of cards.
Now, here comes the interesting part. Depending on the card the first player plays, the other three players need to play cards of the same rank. For example, if the first card is a 7 of Hearts, the next three players need to play the 7s from the other three suits: the 7 of Clubs, 7 of Diamonds, and 7 of Spades.
Let me explain the game to you. It’s quite simple and fun! First, we need at least four players. The game goes in a circle, starting with the person on the left of the first player.
The first player doesn’t say anything during their turn. But when it comes to the second player, they need to say “Snip”. The third player says “Snap”, and the fourth player says “Snorem”.
Here’s where it gets interesting. When the fourth player plays a card from the suit that was called, they get to choose any card in their hand for the next round. It’s like they hold the power!
Now, if someone can’t play a card, they have to pass their turn. They also have to put one of their chips in the pot. The first player to get rid of all their cards wins the pot of chips from the other players. Isn’t that exciting?
So, how do you win this game?
It’s simple. Just follow the rules throughout the game. That’s the key to winning!
Have you ever played a card game called Snip Snap Snorem? The goal is simple: be the first player to get rid of all your cards and win the game, along with the pot of chips from the other players. It’s a fun and competitive game that keeps everyone on their toes.
OTHER WAYS TO PLAY
Snip Snap Snorem has a few different variations you might enjoy:
One popular variation is called Earl of Conventry. The rules are similar to Snip Snap Snorem, but instead of betting chips, players take turns rhyming. The first player says, “There’s as good as can be,” the second player says, “There’s a as good as he,” the third player says, “There’s the best of all the three,” and finally, the fourth player finishes the rhyme with “And there’s the Earl of Coventry.”
Let me tell you about a fun card game called Jig. It’s a mix of Snip Snap Snorem and Go Stops. The goal is to play a higher card of the same suit than the previous player. The Ace is low, and the King is high.
Here’s how it works. The first player plays any card and says “Snip.” Then, the game continues with “Snap,” “Snorem,” “Hiccockalorum,” and “Jig”. It’s like a little rhyme to keep things exciting. The last player turns down the five-card set and starts a new one with their card choice.
If a round can’t be completed because the last card was a King or the next card in the set isn’t available, the player says “Jig,” and the next round begins.
Just like Snip, Snap, Snorem, Jig is played with chips. It adds an extra element of fun to the game! So give Jig a try and see if you like it as much as I do. Who knows, it might become your new favorite card game!
