A Thrilling Card Game: Sevens

Get Ready to Play Sevens!

Sevens is an exciting card game that combines elements of dominoes. Instead of discarding cards, you’ll be building on a card layout just like placing dominoes. That’s why it’s sometimes called Dominoes.

Understanding the Deck and Dealing

In Sevens, you’ll use a standard 52-card French deck. To determine the dealer, each player picks a card from the deck, and the one with the lowest card becomes the dealer.

The dealer shuffles the cards thoroughly and distributes the entire deck equally among the players. Any leftover cards are set aside and won’t be used in the current round.

How to Play

When we start playing, I, as the dealer, will be the first to take my turn. To begin, I need to put down a card with the number 7. If I don’t have a 7, I pass and it becomes the next player’s turn. The player who is able to lay a 7 goes next.

After a 7 is played, the following player has a few choices. They can play a 6 or 8 of the same suit as the 7, or they can play another 7. For example, if Player 1 puts down the 7 of hearts, Player 2 can put down the 6 of hearts on the left, the 8 of hearts on the right, or another 7 above or below it. If Player 2 can’t play any of those cards, they pass their turn.

As the game progresses, the card layout will keep growing until one of the players runs out of cards. Once this happens, the game is finished.

About Winning

Being the first player to empty my hand is like a burst of joy, a surge of excitement coursing through my veins. It’s the ultimate goal, the sweet taste of victory. When I achieve this feat, I feel like a champion, at the top of the world. It’s an electrifying rush, a moment of triumph that can’t be replicated.
