ROUND THE WORLD
Welcome to the exciting world of Round the World, a thrilling poker card game that can be played by 3 to 10 players. The objective of this game is to make and win bids, adding an element of strategy and excitement to your poker experience.
Before we dive into the details, it’s important to note that Round the World is a variation of traditional poker. So, having a basic understanding of poker rules and hand rankings will come in handy.
SETUP
Let’s get started with the setup. In Round the World, there will be a designated dealer. However, it’s entirely up to the players and the atmosphere of the game whether the dealer will also participate as a player.
The dealer will shuffle the deck and distribute a 4-card hand to each player. Additionally, four cards will be placed facedown in the center of the table.
Card and Hand Rankings
Now, let’s familiarize ourselves with the card and hand rankings. The cards are ranked in the traditional order — Ace (high), King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, and 2 (low).
This game follows the standard hand rankings used in poker, so make sure you know them well.
GAMEPLAY
The game starts when the dealer flips over the first card on the table, face-down. Once the card is visible, everyone takes turns placing bids.
Each card is revealed one by one, and after each reveal, there is another round of bidding. This process continues until the final card is revealed.
Once the last round of bidding is complete, it’s time for the showdown. If more than one player is still in the game, they will show their 4-card hand. They will then combine these cards with the central cards to create their best possible poker hand.
The player with the highest hand wins the pot and becomes the winner of the table.
There is no fixed end to the game. Players can join or leave in between rounds of play.
Remember, anyone can play this game, and it’s all about strategy and a bit of luck. So gather your friends and see who will come out on top in this thrilling poker adventure!
By following these rules and using your skills wisely, you can become a true master of the poker table. So put on your poker face, shuffle the deck, and let the games begin!
