POWER STRUGGLE
Welcome to Power Struggle, a thrilling spinoff of Presidents and Assholes. In this game, the rules are made up as you go along, keeping you on your toes. Each round, new rule cards are drawn, adding an exciting twist to the gameplay. And if you’re up for it, you can even add drinks to the mix, making the game all the more interesting!
Now, I have to warn you, if you’re easily sensitive, this game may not be your cup of tea. You might find yourself getting booed or doing some really weird things during a round. But hey, it’s all part of the fun! Can you outsmart your friends, even when the odds are against you?
The game comes in four different varieties: original, hillbilly, college, and N.S.F.W. You can mix and match these packs to accommodate more players and, of course, to amp up the fun factor!
SETUP
So, let’s get started with playing Power Struggle! First, we’ll need to prepare the cards. There are three decks: the Rules is Rules deck, the Cabinet deck, and the Playing deck. Take all these decks and place them face down in the middle of the group.
Now, each player will be dealt one card from the Playing deck. The player who receives the highest card becomes the dealer. Once the dealer is determined, the Playing deck is shuffled and each player is dealt a hand of cards. The player who received the highest card will start the game as the President.
The Exciting Gameplay of Power Struggle
Alright, it’s time to jump into the game! To begin, the President will play the start card and nothing else. Then, the player to the left of the President can lay down any card they have. They even have the option to play multiple cards of the same type, like doubles, triples, or even quadruples! Just remember, the ultimate goal is to empty your hand!
Hey there! Let me break down the rules of this fun card game for you. In the game, players can play Wild Cards, but only one per turn. The catch is that the next player has to play a card with a higher ranking than the one played by the previous player.
Now, here’s the hierarchy: doubles always beat singles, triples always beat doubles, and quadruples always beat triples. If a player doesn’t have a card that can beat the previous one, they have two options. They can either skip their turn or play a Wild Card.
If everyone ends up skipping their turn because they can’t beat the card, then a new card can be played to keep the round going. The game continues until all players have gotten rid of the cards in their hands.
Remember, the person who is left with the last card becomes the “Asshole” and has to deal the next round. And the player who clears their hand first earns the prestigious title of “President” and gets to set the rules for the next round. How cool is that?!
Hey there! Let’s play a fun game together. It’s called Presidents & Drinks!
Here’s how it works: I’ll draw a rule card, and we have to follow that rule for the entire round. If you break the rule, you have to take a drink. But don’t worry, the President can veto a rule if they don’t like it. They have the power!
Now, we should aim to play around 5-7 rounds. But hey, it’s up to us to decide how many rounds we want to play. Flexibility is the name of the game!
Now, let’s talk about some special cards. First, we have the Drink Card. When someone places this card down, they get to choose who takes a sip. Fun, right?
Next up is the Cheers Card. When this card comes into play, all players need to raise their glasses and make a toast. Cheers to that!
And finally, we have the Clear Card. When this card shows up, all previous rules are wiped away. You can play any card you want. Total freedom!
Now let’s talk about the end of the game. It’s simple – whenever we feel like we’ve played enough rounds, we can call it quits. And the player who has won the most rounds, they’re the ultimate champion!
So grab your favorite drinks, gather your friends, and let’s get this party started with Presidents & Drinks!
