OUCH! CARD GAME RULES

Hey there! Let’s dive into the exciting world of Ouch! card game. I’m here to guide you through the rules, so you’ll be ready to master this fun-filled game in no time.

First off, let me tell you the goal of the game. The objective is to be the first player to get rid of all their cards. It’s that simple – but watch out for those tricky cards that might slow you down!

Now, let’s talk about the cards themselves. The Ouch! deck consists of 56 cards, each with a number ranging from 1 to 10. There are four different colors: blue, red, green, and yellow. Each color has cards ranging from 1 to 10.

To start the game, shuffle the deck and deal seven cards to each player. Place the remaining cards face-down to create a draw pile. This will be the supply of cards for the game.

Alright, it’s time to dive into the gameplay. The player to the left of the dealer goes first, and the turns move clockwise from there. On your turn, you must play a card from your hand onto the discard pile.

Here comes the twist – you can only play a card if its number matches the number on the top of the discard pile or if the color matches. For example, if the top card is a blue 5, you can play any blue card or any card with the number 5, regardless of its color.

But what happens if you can’t make a move? Don’t worry, my friend. In that case, you must draw a card from the draw pile. If the drawn card is playable, you can choose to play it right away. If not, your turn ends, and the next player goes.

Now, let’s talk about the special cards. Ouch! cards are the stars of this game. When you play an Ouch! card, the next player’s turn is skipped. They must draw two cards from the draw pile instead. Ouch, indeed!

Another special card is the Reverse card. When this card is played, the direction of play reverses. If the game was going clockwise, it now switches to a counterclockwise direction, and vice versa.

The game continues like this, with players taking turns playing cards that match the top card’s number or color. The first player to empty their hand completely is the winner! Congratulations!

You are now a pro at the Ouch! card game. Gather your friends and family, shuffle that deck, and let the fun begin. Enjoy!

Hey there! Have you ever played a card game that’s as sharp as a cactus? Well, get ready to experience the prickly excitement of Ouch!

Ouch! is a unique flower collecting card game that will keep you on your toes. The goal is simple: carefully pick cards from a layout. But here’s the catch – you have to choose which side to flip the card from. If you choose the wrong side and encounter those pesky cactus needles, ouch! You get pricked and the card is out of the game. But if you choose wisely and find a side with no needles, phew! You’re safe, and you get to keep that card.

The aim of the game is to build the most valuable collection of flowers. So, as you embark on this prickly adventure, keep your eyes peeled for the most beautiful blooms. The player with the most precious flowers at the end of the game emerges as the ultimate winner.

WHAT’S IN THE BOX

So here’s the deal: you’ve got yourself a cactus card deck. Now, this deck is a total of forty-four cards. Out of those, thirty-six of ’em have some beautiful flowers on the back, while the remaining eight have adorable little animals.

GETTING STARTED

So, here’s what we’re going to do. Shuffle the deck of cactus cards, which has forty-four cards in total, and place the pile with the cactuses facing up. Now, without peeking at the cards, draw six of them and lay them out with the cactus side up.

Let’s Play OUCH!

The game starts with the youngest player and continues clockwise around the table. When it’s your turn, pick one of the six cards from the cactus layout. But before you do that, you have to let everyone know which side you’re going to use to pick up the card. You can say left, right, top, or bottom. Once you’ve decided, touch that side of the card to flip it over.

If you happen to pick a card with needles on the side you touched, that means you’ve been pricked! Ouch! In that case, you have to discard that card and your turn ends there. But wait, there’s more! If the card you flipped over has a red flower on it, you’ll have to discard an extra card from your collection. It could be any card you choose. Don’t worry, though. If you flip the card and there’s nothing on the side you touched, that means you get to keep it! Add it to your collection and rejoice!

When you play with animal cards, something special happens. For example, if you get a snake card, you can make the next player give you their card if they get pricked, instead of them throwing it away. Another cool card is the fennec card, which lets you take an extra turn right away. But be careful, if you get pricked on that second turn, you have to throw away the fennec card too.

After you finish your turn, you have to fill up the layout with new cards from the draw pile until there are six cards again.

Some cards are worth more points, but they are also more dangerous. If you want to make the game easier, you can leave out some of the rules. For example, for younger players, you can play without the rule about the red flower and the scoring bonus. You can also leave out the wild bouquet scoring bonus.

OUCH! I WON!

The game is finished when one player has eight cards in their collection. The game also ends if there are no more cards left in the draw pile.
