Nezere game rules – how to play nezere

NEZERE

Nezere is a game that shares some similarities with the popular game War. In Nezere, the players compete against each other to win the most tricks. The objective of the game is to be the first player to accumulate 150 points, before the other two players.

SETUP

To set up the game, you will need two decks of cards, each containing 52 cards. Remove the aces, nines, tens, Jacks, Queens, and Kings from the decks – these cards will be used during the game. Choose one player to keep track of the score.

After shuffling the deck, spread the cards face down. Each player then draws a card, and the person who draws the lowest card becomes the first dealer. The dealer distributes 15 cards to each player, giving three cards to each player in a clockwise direction. Three cards are set aside. And now, the game begins!

GAMEPLAY

So here’s how the game goes. It’s got three phases, and each one is exciting in its own way. But let’s start with the first phase. In this phase, every player gets a chance to bet on the Trump suit. And why would they want to do that? Well, because it can help them score extra points during the trick play. And who doesn’t love some extra points, right?

Okay, so now let’s talk about how the first round goes. It’s really simple. The player on the left of the dealer goes first. They have three options: pass, bid, or open. If nobody opens, we just shuffle the cards and deal again. But if someone does open, the bidding begins. The other players can try to outbid each other to show that they’re the boss. When a player decides to pass, the bidding is done. And guess what? The player who wins gets to choose the Trump suit. Pretty cool, huh?

Now, after all that bidding excitement, we move on to the second phase. This is where the player who won the first round gets rewarded. They get to take the three cards that were put aside at the beginning, and show them off to the rest of the group. But wait, there’s a catch. They have to get rid of three cards from their hand. Tough decisions, I tell ya.

Alright, folks, time for the next step! We’re moving on to phase two. This is where we start acquiring those melds before we actually begin playing. Now, let me break it down for you – we’re gonna combine the points from our melds and trick-taking. If that total is higher than your bid, guess what? You win the hand! Everybody will show their melds and count ’em up.

Combining Melds

Family: That’s aces, tens, kings, queens, and jacks. All of those beauties add up to a whopping 15 points.

Double Family: Oh yeah, two families merged together equals a huge 150 points.

One Hundred Aces: This means you’ve got four different aces in your arsenal, and that’ll get you 10 points.

One Thousand Aces: Now, this is the big kahuna – all aces in your hand means you score 100 points.

Eighty Kings: Grab four different kings and you’ve just earned yourself 8 points.

Eight Hundred Kings: But wait, there’s more! If you manage to snatch up all the kings, you’re looking at a massive 80 points.

Sixty Queens: Gather four different queens in your hand and you’re racking up 6 points.

Six Hundred Queens: It’s like the jackpot of queens! Having all the queens in your possession grants you a cool 60 points.

Forty Jacks: Get your hands on four different jacks for a sweet 4 points.

Four Hundred Jacks: This is it, folks – all jacks in your hand means you’re walking away with a solid 40 points.

Marriage in Trump: When the king and queen of the trump suit join forces, they bring in 4 points.

Marriage in Non-Trump: And hey, let’s not forget about the king and queen outside of the trump suit – they’re worth a solid 2 points.

Once all the meld points are added up, we enter the final phase. The player who won the second phase takes the lead. Now, each team makes a bid to try and win the trick. The gameplay continues in a clockwise direction, going around the group.

THE END OF THE GAME

The game ends when a player reaches 150 points. And that player becomes the winner!
