LET IT RIDE POKER RULES
Hey there! Are you ready to learn all about Let It Ride Poker? Great, because I’m about to explain the rules to you. Let’s dive in!
So, in Let It Ride Poker, you start with three bets of equal value. Then, the dealer gives you three cards, and the goal is to make the best five-card hand possible.
Here’s where it gets interesting. After looking at your three cards, you have a decision to make. You can either ‘let it ride’ and keep your first bet on the table, or you can take it back. It’s totally up to you!
The dealer then reveals one of their two community cards. Now, you have another decision to make. Based on the strength of your hand, you can choose to let your second bet ride or take it back. Again, the choice is yours.
Finally, the dealer reveals the second community card. Now that you have all five cards, it’s time for the big reveal. If you have a winning hand, you get paid according to the game’s paytable. The better your hand, the more you win!
Remember, in Let It Ride Poker, you’re not playing against other players or even the dealer. You’re simply aiming for the best possible hand. It’s just you against the cards!
One thing to keep in mind – Let It Ride Poker is a game of strategy. It’s not just about luck. You need to carefully consider the strength of your hand at each stage and make smart decisions.

If you’re searching for an exciting new game that combines poker and gambling, then look no further than Let It Ride. Created in the 1990s, this casino game is a fusion of Blackjack and Poker. It follows the same principles as traditional poker games, where you aim to form the best five-card hand. However, this variant of Five Card Stud adds a unique twist – players can choose to decrease their bet if they don’t like their cards. That’s right, you have the option to Let It Ride or reduce your bet, and the key to success lies in knowing when to make that decision.
Before we dive into the rules of Let It Ride, it’s recommended to have a basic understanding of poker. Once you have those fundamentals down, you’re all set to learn how to play Let It Ride Poker!

Here’s how it works: you have to put three equal bets on the table, using the symbols 1, 2, and $. But hold on, don’t go all-in right from the start! Did you know that when you play Let It Ride poker, you have the option to make an extra bet called the three card bonus? This bonus pays out if you have a pair or higher in your hand. Keep in mind, though, that the three card bonus can vary depending on the casino you’re playing in.

How to Deal in Let It Ride Poker
Like any other poker game, dealing the cards correctly is important in Let It Ride Poker. This game uses a standard 52-card deck.
Once the cards are thoroughly shuffled, the dealer gives each player three cards face-down. Instead of three, the dealer places two cards face-down in front of themselves. These two cards are known as the community cards.
So here we are, at this point in the game. After placing our bets, we’re allowed to sneak a look at our own cards, just like in Texas Hold’Em. But remember, we have to keep our cards a secret from everyone else.
POKER HAND RANKINGS
Now that we’ve seen our cards, let’s remind ourselves of the standard poker hand rankings. In Let It Ride Poker, we only get paid if we have a hand that matches one of these combinations, using the 3 cards in our hand and the 2 community cards.
- Royal Flush: An Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and 10 of the same suit
- Straight Flush: 5 cards in a row of the same suit
- Four of a Kind: 4 cards of the same value
- Full House: 3 cards of the same value and 2 cards of another value
- Flush: A hand with 5 cards of the same suit
- Straight: A hand with 5 cards in sequential order, regardless of suit. A can be considered as a high card or as a low card.
- Three of a Kind: A hand with 3 cards of the same rank
- Two Pairs: A hand with 2 sets of cards with the same rank
- One Pair: A hand with 2 cards of the same rank, but they must be 10s or higher
HOW TO PLAY LET IT RIDE POKER
Alright, now that we’ve all taken a gander at our three cards, it’s game time!
TIME TO CASH OUT OR TAKE A RISK
First up is the player to the left of the dealer. If they’re not loving their hand, they can cash out one of their bets. Just scoop up those chips from their first bet. On the flip side, if you’re feeling pretty good about your hand, you can take a risk and let it ride!
Keep in mind that in this version of poker, you’re not going head-to-head with other players or taking on the dealer. Your only goal is to make sure you’ve got a winning hand.
REVEAL A CARD
Alright, folks, it’s time to reveal the next community card! Hold your breath as the dealer flips over the card on their left and shows it to all of us. Brace yourselves, because this card will now join our hands and influence the outcome of the game.
Should I Withdraw or Let It Ride Again?
Now that we have seen the first community card, you have another chance to make a decision. Starting with the player on the left of the dealer, you can once again withdraw one of your bets (but make sure you keep at least one bet) or let it ride. If you’re not feeling confident about your hand, it’s perfectly fine to take back one of your bets. But if you’re feeling bold and believe in your cards, then let it ride and see where luck takes you!
Just so you know, even if you let it ride in the first round, you still have the option to withdraw one of your bets after we flip over the next community card.
The Game Comes to an End
Okay, here’s how it works: when it’s time to show your cards, flip over the second community card and place your hand on the table. Your final hand will consist of the 3 cards in your hand plus the 2 community cards. And remember, the rankings for poker hands still apply!
Here’s the Money Part: Let It Ride Poker Payouts
Now, let’s get to the good stuff – the money! Your payout is determined by the strength of your hand: the 3 cards in your hand plus the 2 community cards. If your hand isn’t a winner, you lose all the bets still on the table. But if you have a winning hand, the payout depends on the ranking of your poker hand. Here are the standard payouts for Let It Ride Poker (keep in mind that these odds may vary depending on the casino):
Getting a Bonus: Three Card Bonus Payouts
If you decide to place a bet on the three card bonus and you end up with a winning 3-card hand, you’ll get an extra payout called the three card bonus payout. In general, it pays out like this:
Hey there! Before we dive in, remember that the payout amount varies depending on the casino and house rules. Just something to keep in mind while you play!
GETTING STRATEGIC WITH LET IT RIDE POKER
Playing Let It Ride may require some strategy to minimize your losses or maximize your wins. It all depends on your hand. So, here are a few tips to keep in your back pocket when you’re at the Let It Ride table.
Let’s start with when you’ve got three cards:
- If you’ve got a Three of a Kind, you should definitely let it ride!
- If you’re holding three cards that could make a Royal Flush, go ahead and let it ride!
- If you’ve got a pair of 10s or better (any hand that pays), definitely let it ride!
- And if you’ve got three cards in a row, let ’em ride!
When you flip the first card in Let It Ride poker and you have a total of four cards, it’s crucial to understand the distinction between inside and outside straights. An inside straight is when a card is missing in the middle of a straight sequence (for example, 5, 6, 8, 9), while an outside straight is when a card is missing at either end of the sequence (for example, 5, 6, 7, 8).
Here’s what you should do when you have four cards:
- If you happen to have a winning hand, don’t hesitate to let it ride!
- If all four of your cards belong to the same suit, it’s a great idea to let it ride!
- If you possess four cards in an outside straight and at least one of them is a 10 or higher, it’s a good move to let it ride!
- If you have four cards in an inside straight with cards that are 10 or higher, you should let it ride.
