HEY, THAT’S MY FISH
Hey there! Have you ever played a game called “Hey, That’s My Fish”? It’s a fun and exciting game that you can play with your friends and family. Let me tell you all about it!
In this game, the goal is to collect as many fish as you can. But be careful! The ice is breaking up, and you don’t want to get stranded! As you move your penguins around the board, you will need to strategize and plan your moves to make sure you can grab the most fish before the ice melts away.
You can play “Hey, That’s My Fish” with 2 to 4 people, which means you can invite your pals or even challenge your siblings to a fish-catching competition! The game is suitable for kids aged 5 and up, so it’s great for family game nights.
To begin the game, each player takes turns placing their penguins on the board. The penguins can only move in a straight line, and they have to stop when they reach an open space. As you move your penguins, make sure to plan ahead and block your opponents from getting to the fish. It’s a game of strategy and cunning!
As you collect fish, you will need to keep an eye on the melting ice. The game ends when all the fish have been collected or when there are no more moves left. The player with the most fish wins!
“Hey, That’s My Fish” is a fantastic game that combines strategy, planning, and a little bit of luck. It’s a great way to spend time with friends and family while having a blast. So gather your penguins and get ready to catch some fish!
Oh no! The ice is breaking, and the penguins are worried that soon there won’t be enough food left for them. We all need to gather as much fish as we can before it’s too late. Your job is to send your penguins across the shrinking ice to collect the tastiest fish while blocking your opponents. Who will come up with the best strategy for gathering fish?
SETUP
To get started, we need to set up the game board. Below, you can see how the board should look once it’s all set up. You can rearrange the tiles if you want, but this setup works well for most games.
First, I need to pick a color for my penguin. The game begins with each player choosing a color that represents them. If there are two players, we each get four penguins. If there are three of us, we each get three penguins. And if there are four players, we each get two penguins.
Next, I place my penguins on the board. The youngest player starts, and then we go clockwise around the group. When it’s my turn, I can only put one penguin on the board. But I have to make sure it goes on a space that doesn’t already have another penguin. Once all of our penguins are on the board, the game is ready to begin!

GAMEPLAY
When it’s my turn to play, I get to move one of my penguins and collect some ice floe tiles. Then, it’s the next player’s turn. We take turns in a clockwise direction, starting with the youngest player.
When I move my penguin, I can choose to go as far as I want in a straight line. But I can’t change direction once I start moving. I have to be careful not to land on a tile that’s already occupied by another penguin. And I can’t even pass through a tile that’s occupied by another penguin. Safety first!
Once I finish moving, I’ll pick up the ice floe tile that my penguin started on. As soon as I have my tile, it’s your turn to play. Remember, we each have to move a penguin on our turn. And if I can’t make a move, tough luck – I won’t get to take any more turns and all my remaining penguins are out!
We keep playing like this until either there are no more penguins on the board or neither of us can make any more moves.
The Game Ends
The game ends when there are no more penguins left on the board. Then, we count up the fish on the ice floes we collected. Whoever has the most fish wins! If we tie, we both get to share the win. Game on!
