Getting Started
Alright, are you ready to dive into the world of FLUXX? Here’s what you need to do to set up the game:
- Place the Basic Rules card right in the center of the table or group. It’s our starting point.
- Now, shuffle all the cards. Once they’re all nice and mixed up, deal three cards to each player.
- Take the rest of the deck and place it face down beside the Basic Rules card. That’s your Draw pile.
Boom! You’re all set up and ready to go. Let the FLUXX adventure begin!
How to Play
When we play a game of Fluxx, it doesn’t really matter who goes first. We can decide among ourselves. At the start, we all follow the Basic Rules. That means we draw one card and play one card, taking turns going around the group in a clockwise direction.
As we keep playing, things can change. New Rules come into play, and we all have to adapt to them. These new rules can vary depending on the cards we draw. If a new rule contradicts an old rule, the old rule is thrown out. The important thing is to keep following the rules!
Now, when someone plays a Goal Card, we all need to pay attention. This is how the game is won! The goal applies to everyone, which means that anyone who meets the goal can be the winner. And remember, when a new Goal Card is played, the old one gets replaced.

The game ends when a player meets the goal condition. That player is declared the winner!
