BLIND MAN’S BLUFF

Blind Man’s Bluff is a super cool party game that can be played by a bunch of people and will be a huge hit. It’s more popular with adults than kids, and some folks call it Indian or Indian Head.

LET’S GET READY

First things first, we need to figure out who the dealer is and in what order we’ll be sitting. The easiest way to do this is by drawing cards. Whoever gets the highest card becomes the dealer and gets to pick their seat first. The player with the lowest card gets to choose their seat last.

Once we have our dealer and the seating order, it’s time to shuffle the cards. Each player gets one card, and we’re ready to roll!

TIME TO PLAY

So, here’s how it goes. Once everyone has their card, the dealer gives the signal. Now, it’s time for everyone to show their cards to their opponents. Not to themselves, mind you, but to the group. Hold it up to your forehead, face out, and let everyone see what you’ve got.

Now, it’s time to start the bidding. The player to the left of the dealer gets things rolling. Basically, you’ve got two options here: you can make an “In Bid” or an “Out Bid.” If you choose to make an In Bid, it means you want to stay in the game. On the other hand, an Out Bid means you’re tapping out, you want nothing to do with the hand. This bidding thing continues in a nice little clockwise fashion until a full round goes by without anyone making a bid.

Okay, now pay attention because this is where things get interesting. If a player makes an Out Bid, they’re out of the game for the rest of the hand. No coming back. Once the bidding is over, all the players throw their cards onto the table with a little oomph. Time to find out who’s got the goods. The cards of the players that are still in the game are compared and the one with the highest card wins! Simple as that. Winner, winner, chicken dinner. Time to tally up the scores and see who’s on top.

When you make an Out Bid, you lose a point. If you don’t go out but also don’t win the hand, you lose three points. But if you win the hand, you earn five points.

Game Over

The game ends after a set number of hands. The player with the highest number of points by the end of the final hand is the winner!
