THE BASICS
I want to tell you about this really awesome game called the Battleship Card Game. It’s a super fun game for 2 players that combines elements from the classic Battleship game with some new twists. Instead of using a regular game board, you and your opponent will place your fleet randomly using special Coordinate cards. Each turn, you’ll use Battle cards to find and attack your opponent’s ships, protect yourself, and even add more cards to your hand. The first player to sink the other player’s entire fleet is the winner!

Get ready to play!
Hey there, are you new to the game or just having trouble remembering what all those symbols mean? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered! The game comes with a special set of reference cards that can help you out.
Getting Ready
To begin the game, I need to shuffle my 12 Coordinate cards and arrange them face down in a 3×4 grid. Then, I’ll shuffle my 26 Battle cards and deal myself 5 cards to start with. The remaining cards will be placed face down as a draw pile.
HOW TO PLAY BATTLESHIP CARD GAME
When it’s your turn, you get to play a Battle card from your hand. The Battle card can either let you search for your opponents’ ship or attack them directly.
To search for your opponent’s ship, you can use a white peg or a red peg card to tap a Coordinate card on their grid. If you tap a card with a white peg, your opponent flips it over to see if it’s a ship or a miss. If it’s a ship, it gets activated and your turn is over.
If you use a red peg card when searching, it will activate the ship and cause both the ship and the peg to take damage. When a ship is hit by red peg damage, the red peg card is placed under the ship card with the peg showing.
If you decide to play a Power card, you’ll need to carry out the action described on the card. There are different kinds of action cards that could be played.
The Power of Ship Activation
When I activate a ship, it comes to life with a special power. This power stays active as long as the ship remains intact. These ship powers are vital to the game, and it’s crucial not to overlook them.
Ending a Turn
After I finish my turn, I draw back up to my starting hand size. Usually, this means drawing 5 cards, unless my Aircraft Carrier has been activated. If my draw pile is empty, I shuffle my discard pile and flip it over to create a fresh draw pile. We keep playing like this until the game comes to an end.
Winning
The player who destroys all of their opponent’s ships first is the winner.
