Atlantic star game rules- how to play atlantic star

By: Dennis B. B. Taylor

Welcome to Atlantic Star!

Get ready to travel back in time to the 19th century and compete against other players in the exciting world of Atlantic Star. In this game, your goal is to build the most incredible and popular cruise ship. But beware, the competition is fierce, and you’ll need to be ruthless if you want to come out on top.

Game Setup

Let’s get started! Place the Board and the Agency in the center of the play area where everyone can reach them. Shuffle the ship cards and put them next to the Charter Agency. Now, reveal the top four cards and place them on the spaces between the three thousand and zero marks on the Agency board.

If there are two to three of us playing, we each get thirty-six thousand marks. But if there are four to six players, we only get eighteen thousand marks. Any extra money goes into the bank. Now, it’s time to choose an emblem, an overview chart, and our record plaques to represent us during the game.

The Package Cruise Operators will use any leftover plaques, and they have a fixed value from the start. We don’t own them, but they’ll be placed on the board after the first voyage. Alright, the game is about to start!

Get ready for the game!

When we play the game, the person left on the ship goes first. Then we go in a circle, with each player taking turns. On your turn, you can do three things. You can borrow money to help with a trip that’s already started. You can pay 2000 marks to replace a ship in the Charter Agency. And you have to either go on a voyage or charter a ship.

You have to do the first two actions, but you can choose which one to do first. When you charter a ship, you have to pick a card from the Agency and buy it with charter fees. You have to pay the bank for the ship. You can only charter one ship each turn.

When you decide to embark on a voyage in this game, you have a limited number of ships you can have in your hand. The specific voyage you choose determines the maximum number of ships you can have. To start your journey, you must pay the required number of ships for the chosen voyage. If you need to, you can borrow ships during the game, but only for one voyage.

After completing your actions, it’s time for the next player to take their turn. The game continues like this until it reaches its conclusion.

GAME OVER

Hi there! I’m Ellie, and I live in Northeast Tennessee. I’m a big animal lover and enjoy reading fantasy fiction books. Outdoor activities are also right up my alley! I’m lucky to have a fantastic husband who adores me and two adorable furry friends. Being a part of this amazing community brings me so much joy.

Now, let’s talk about an exciting game called Voyage Record. When all of the voyage record plaques are placed on the board, the game comes to an end. At this point, it’s time to tally up the victory points located on the left side of each player’s voyage record plaques. The player with the most victory points is declared the winner! However, if two or more players have the same number of victory points, the player with the most money takes home the victory.
