Luna Solo Rules

Hey there! Welcome to the rules for Luna Solo. I’m here to guide you through the gameplay and help you have a blast. So, let’s jump in and get started, shall we?

First things first, let me explain what Luna Solo is all about. It’s a super cool game where you get to be an astronaut exploring the moon. Pretty awesome, right? The goal is to collect as many moon rocks as possible while navigating through different levels. Sounds exciting, doesn’t it?

Now, let’s talk about the important rules you need to know. There are three main rules to keep in mind while playing Luna Solo. Rule number one: be careful not to fall into the moon craters. It’s a big drop and definitely not a good idea. Trust me on this one.

Rule number two is all about timing. You see, some platforms on the moon move, and you need to time your jumps just right to land on them. It’s like a little puzzle you have to solve. I know you’ve got what it takes!

Now, rule number three is my personal favorite. In Luna Solo, you have a jetpack that allows you to fly for a short time. How cool is that? But remember, the jetpack has limited fuel, so use it wisely. Don’t worry though, you can find fuel canisters scattered around the levels to replenish your jetpack. Phew!

Oh, and one more thing. Throughout the game, you’ll encounter moon creatures that might try to stop you. But don’t worry, you can defeat them by jumping on their heads. It’s like squishing a bug – just be careful not to get squished yourself!

So, my friend, those are the rules for Luna Solo. Be mindful of the craters, time your jumps correctly, and use your jetpack wisely. Defeat those moon creatures, collect those moon rocks, and have a blast exploring the lunar landscape.

I hope you’re as excited as I am to start your lunar adventure. Get ready to set foot on the moon and experience Luna Solo like never before. Have a fantastic time, and remember to aim for the stars!

In this solo game, you’re essentially playing a 2-player game, but instead of facing off against another person, you’ll be up against a virtual opponent that follows a set of rules.

Your goal is simple: you want to gain more influence than your opponent. At the end of the game, your final score will be the difference between your score and your opponent’s score.

Let’s start with Level 1.

To set up the game, you’ll need to prepare it as if you were playing a 2-player game. However, there are a few adjustments. Place only 1 Favor token on each Isle and don’t use any Time tokens. Also, hold off on placing any Novices in the Temple for now. This is what we call the Preliminary Round.

During the Preliminary Round, your opponent gets to go first. They’ll place 1 Shrine and 1 Novice of their color on the Holy Isle, where the Master Builder is. Then, they’ll place 2 Novices on each of the other Isles.

Here’s what you need to do:

1. Take one of your opponent’s Novices from the Isle that matches the symbol of their Temple tile, and put it on that tile.

2. Place one of your own Novices on the remaining tile in the Temple, along with a book.

Remember, your opponent follows their own set of rules, so be prepared to strategize accordingly. Good luck!

Alright, let’s dive into the game rules. Here’s what you need to know:

When we start a round, you can go ahead and place your starting pieces. Remember, you can do this just like you usually would.

Now, at the beginning of each round, there are a couple of things we need to do. First, you get to choose an Isle and deactivate all of your opponent’s Novices on that Isle. Then, you have to move your opponent’s “Member of the Council” piece to a new location.

Next, your opponent gets to put one of their Novices on one of the approved Temple tiles. They can do this if they have an active Novice on an Isle with a matching symbol. If there are multiple Isles with matching symbols, they should choose the one with the bigger number.

If your opponent finds a matching tile, they need to place it on the proper space in the Temple. They also get to move one of their active Novices from the matching Isle to the Temple. This is where things get interesting – your opponent gains influence according to the Guard tile, just like they normally would.

And that’s it! Those are the important steps you need to follow when playing the game. Have fun and good luck!

If you already own a “Book of Wisdom,” here’s what you can do: Take the book from the tile with the lowest number and place it on your opponent’s tile with the lowest number. Your opponent gets 1 influence point.

But if there is no such tile, your opponent won’t gain a Temple tile this round.

During the Action Phase, if you displace an opponent’s Novice from the Temple, put it next to the Isle that matches the tile it came from. This Novice is inactive.

At the end of each round, there are a few things to consider. The Action Phase ends when you don’t want to take any more actions. If your opponent has at least one active Novice on the Isle with the Master Builder, place one of their Shrines on that Isle, but only if there isn’t already one of theirs. And finally, your opponent won’t lose any influence due to the Apostate.

Apostate’s Move

When it’s time for the Apostate to make a move, they will choose the next Isle in a clockwise order, as long as that Isle contains at least one of your Novices. This means that they will always target an Isle where you have a presence. It’s their way of interfering with your progress and trying to hinder your advancement.

Level 2

Adding to the Level 1 Rules:

When it’s time for the Action phase, the Apostate puts a stop to all actions on “his” Isle, except for “Expulsion”.

This means that you can use a Novice favor token and/or your Novices on this Isle to move the Apostate, but any other actions are off-limits.

Level 3

In addition to the Level 1 Rules, there are a few more:

  • When setting up the game, make sure to place the Master Builder and Moon Priestess on the same Isle.
  • During the Action phase, the Apostate blocks all actions on the Isle he is on. This includes the “Expulsion” action as well.
