Welcome to AQUALIN!
Something exciting is happening under the sea! The sea creatures are coming together in swarms, causing a stir in the reef. It’s going to be a blast, and I can’t wait to tell you all about it!
Let’s Get Set Up!
First things first, we need to set up the game. Place the gameboard right in the middle of your playing area. Now, take all the sea creatures and mix them up. They should be facing down and placed next to the gameboard to create the draw pile.
Alright, here’s where it gets interesting. Six tiles will be randomly chosen from the draw pile and placed faceup on the game board. These tiles make up the players’ drafting pools. Keep your eyes on them!
Now, let’s figure out who’s gathering by color and who’s gathering by type. This will determine how we earn points when the game ends. Once we’ve sorted that out, we’re ready to start!
GAMEPLAY
During the game, we take turns. First, one player takes their turn, and then it’s the opponent’s turn. On your turn, you can do three things: move a creature, place a new one, and refill your drafting pool. To move a creature, you can pick any creature on the board and move it as far as you want, but only in its row or column.
So, here’s how it goes. First, I move a creature, then I get to place a new one. I can choose any creature from the drafting pool and put it on any empty spot on the board. No restrictions here, as long as it’s unoccupied. And before I finish my turn, I’ll take another creature from the draw pile and add it to the drafting pool.
Now, it’s the other player’s turn. We’ll keep going like this until the whole board is teeming with creatures. That’s when the school assessment happens. First, we count all the schools of the same color, and then we score those with matching colors.
And that’s the end of the game!
Hey there! I’m Ellie, and I live in Northeast Tennessee. I’m a big fan of animals, especially of the cute and cuddly variety. I also can’t get enough of fantasy fiction books and spending time in the great outdoors. And let’s not forget about my lovely husband and our two adorable fur babies.
Now, let’s talk about games! Have you ever played a game where you’re trying to catch fish? Well, let me tell you about this awesome game called “School of Fish.” In this game, the goal is to score as many points as possible by collecting fish from the drafting pool.
But here’s the twist – the game ends when the drafting pool is completely empty. At that point, it’s time to tally up your score. The player with the most points becomes the champion of the game! How cool is that?
