AMYITIS

Hey there! Welcome to Amyitis, a cool game where we architects compete to build amazing wonders. Pretty awesome, right? So, in this game, we’re all trying to leave our mark in history by creating the most beautiful scenery that will make Amytis, a homesick maiden, happy. Let’s get started and show off our architectural skills!

SETUP

First, let’s get started with the setup. We need to place the boards in the center of the playing area. Make sure the camel token is on the Mesopotamia board in the Babylon square. Next, grab the card that corresponds to the number of players and put it beside the boards.

Now, let’s organize the general stock. Sort and divide the products by group. In the city of Khorsabad, place the plant card. Shuffle the craft cards and put them beside the board, face down.

Next, we have the garden tiles. Shuffle them and separate them by type. Place seven one quality cards on the first floor, and five two quality cards on the second floor.

Now, it’s time for each player to choose a color to represent them in the game. Each player should also collect four cubes, one camel, four talents, and a Caracaneer card. Finally, place the markers on the zero space of the scoring track.

Ok, so here’s how we determine who gets to go first in the game. First, we all draw lots and see who gets the lucky spot. The player who draws the winning lot gets to go first and takes the player card. And with that, we’re ready to start the game!

How to Play the Game

The game is divided into different turns, and each turn has three phases. These phases are called the setup phase, the players’ actions phase, and the end of the turn phase. Let me break it down for you. At the beginning of their turn, the first player will gather all the craft cards, mix them up, and arrange them face up in groups of three. The number of groups depends on how many players there are. Any other cards go off to the side. Once the cards are all set, the players will receive a certain number of talents based on their banker card.

Once I’ve gathered my team, it’s time to take action. We’ll each have a turn, going clockwise around our group. During my turn, I have a few options: I can pass, recruit, or move our caravan. Now, recruiting is where things get interesting. Depending on who I recruit, I might earn special abilities or extra actions. We’ll keep going like this until everyone has passed.

Now, to wrap up our turn, we’ll complete four actions. First, the last player will place one of their cubes into a temple, and two neutral cubes into the other two temples. Then, we’ll count up the cubes in each temple. The player with the most cubes in a temple gets a reward! Oh, and depending on our level, we might need to adjust our stock by putting any extra cubes back into it.

Hey there! When playing the game, the first player card will pass to the next player in a clockwise order. And guess what? If the game conditions aren’t met, the next turn begins! This cycle continues until the game reaches its end.

The Exciting Conclusion

Now, here’s where things get interesting. The game comes to an end when a specific number of Garden tiles are in play and the current turn finishes. For a game with two players, there should be three or fewer Garden Tiles. And if you’re playing with three or four players, the number of Garden Tiles should be four or less. But wait, there’s more! Each player receives bonus points based on their tiles. They also tally points for their resource tokens. The player with the most Prestige points emerges as the winner. Hooray!
