Aerion game rules – how to play aerion

AERION

Hey there! I’m excited to tell you about a cool game called Aerion. In this game, you and your friends work together to build an awesome fleet of flying machines. But here’s the catch – you have to finish the ships with the materials you’re given. If you can’t do it, you’ll lose the game! So let’s make sure you’re the best and finish those ships!

If you want to spice things up and play with more people or have a longer game, there are expansions available too!

SETUP

Alright, let’s get started with the setup. You’ll need to place six ship tokens in the middle of the playing area with their project side facing up. Don’t forget to put the three pixie coins beside the ships. Now, all the resource cards need to be separated into six decks based on the combinations on the backs of the cards. Each deck should be shuffled on its own and placed on the table. And finally, reveal the top card of each deck and place it facing up in front of its deck.

When I play the game, the six cards that show up create the display. And I make sure to leave enough space underneath the display so that I can place the workshops, pulpit, and reserve. Once I have gathered the dice, I know the game is ready to start.

GAMEPLAY

During the game, I go through different turns, which involve three phases: roll, acquire, and replenish.

Now, when it’s my turn, I roll the dice. Each resource card has a number on top, and that number tells me what I need to roll in order to earn that card. My goal is to roll the exact number I need to take the resource card I want. But if I don’t get the right roll, don’t worry! I can earn a reroll, which means I can roll the dice again as many times as I want.

So, let’s say you roll the dice and it allows you to acquire a card. Great! Now we move on to phase two. Take the card you acquired and put it where it needs to go, depending on the type of card it is.

If it’s an element card, you’ll place it in the workshops or discard it. If it’s a book, you can put it in your pulpit. But what if there’s already a book there? Well, you’ll have to decide which one to get rid of.

Once you’ve collected all the required elements to complete a ship in your workshop, you can flip the ship to show that it’s built. Bye-bye, three elements!

If a deck doesn’t have any cards in the display, you can reveal the top card from the deck and put it there. But if there are no cards left in the deck, tough luck – it remains empty.

All Good Things Must Come to an End

The game can end in two ways. One, if you and your fellow players manage to build six ships with their flying side up, congratulations – you all win! But there’s another way it can end… If the resource decks are completely emptied before all the ships are built, well, sorry to say, but you lose.
