- Earn 1 Victory Point if you have placed a total of 3 or 4 citizens on the 3 principal buildings (4 or 5 with 2 players).
- Earn 3 Victory Points if you have placed 5 or 6 citizens on the buildings (6 or 7 with 2 players).
- Earn 6 Victory Points if you have placed 7 or more citizens on the buildings (8 or more with 2 players).
Introducing Urbain IV
Hey there! Let me tell you a little story about this guy I know. He’s the son of a cobbler from Troyes, and you won’t believe what he ended up becoming – a pope! Yeah, that’s right, a pope. Pretty impressive, huh?
- So here’s what happened. This guy started off as a clerk for the Cathedral. Can you imagine going from being a clerk to becoming the pope? Talk about a major upgrade in status!
- Anyway, this pope guy, he’s not just your regular pope. No, no, he’s a generous one too. He actually rewards the builders of the Cathedral. How cool is that?
Now, let’s talk about these rewards. You see, depending on how many cubes you have on the Cathedral at the end of the game, you can earn victory points. And who doesn’t want victory points, right? Here’s how it works:
- If you have a total of 3 or 4 cubes on the Cathedral, you get 1 victory point. Not too shabby, right? But it gets better!
- If you manage to have 5 or 6 cubes on the Cathedral, you’ll get a whopping 3 victory points. Now we’re talking!
- And if you go all out and have 7 or more cubes on the Cathedral, prepare to be amazed, because you’ll earn a staggering 6 victory points. Talk about a major win!
Oh, and by the way, if you’re playing with just 2 players, you’ll need to adjust the cube count for each reward. So keep that in mind!
Now, let’s move on to another interesting character – Thibaut II.
Hey there! Let me tell you about this awesome count who started the amazing fairs of Champagne. He was all about rewarding people for making lots of money.
- You get 1 VP if you have between 6 and 11 deniers
- But wait, there’s more! You’ll get 3 VPs if you have between 12 and 17 deniers
- And if you really hit the jackpot and have 18 or more deniers, you’ll score a whopping 6 VPs!
Hugues de Payns
In 1118, I, the count, founded a group called the Knights Templar. You might be wondering why I did this. Well, let me tell you, I wanted to have a lot of influence. And you know what? I achieved that goal. Now, let’s talk about something very important – the rewards that come with having influence.
- If you have between 5 to 9 Influence points, you’ll get 1 Victory Point (VP).
- If you have between 10 to 14 Influence points, I’ll grant you 3 VPs.
- And if you manage to have 15 or more Influence points, I’ll reward you with a whopping 6 VPs!
Now, let me introduce you to another important figure – Le Florentin.
Hey there! Let’s talk about Domenico del Barbieri, also known as The Florentine. This talented individual played a significant role in rebuilding the city after a terrible fire in 1524. It’s pretty cool how his efforts helped restore and improve things.
- Did you know that you can earn 1 Victory Point by having a total of 2 or 3 tradesmen on Activity cards? It’s a great way to gain some points and show off those skills!
- If you manage to have 4 or 5 tradesmen on Activity cards, you’ll be rewarded with 3 Victory Points. Impressive, right?
- But wait, there’s more! If you have 6 or more tradesmen on Activity cards, you’ll receive a whopping 6 Victory Points. Now that’s what I call a job well done!
Let’s move on to Henry I
I had the incredible honor of being knighted by the emperor, and I had the privilege of fighting alongside Louis VII in the second Crusade. It was a truly remarkable experience, filled with bravery and valor.
One of the highlights of my journey was the rewards that came with countering various events. These rewards helped me gauge my progress and motivated me to strive for more.
- If you had gained 1 or 2 Event cards, you would receive 1 Victory Point (VP)
- If you had gained 3 or 4 Event cards, you would be rewarded with 3 VPs
- And if you had managed to acquire 5 or more Event cards, a grand total of 6 VPs would be bestowed upon you
