When you build a red annex, including this one, you instantly earn 1F.
It’s best to construct a vegetable garden later in the game since you can’t bury corpses underneath it.
Workshop Mechanic
Starting now, you need 1 accomplice less to execute the Build an Annex action.
For instance: You have the option to construct a rank-1 annex without playing any cards from your hand. It’s not mandatory to make use of the workshop when performing a Build action.
Distiller (Distillery)
After the round, don’t pay the wages for one of your accomplices.
For example: If you have two accomplices in your hand, you only pay 1 franc. But if you have no cards in your hand at the end of the round, you won’t gain 1 franc.
Gardener (Gardens)
At the end of every round, earn an extra 2F during the Travelers Leave phase.
Landscaper (Park)
Immediately, earn 4F. At the end of the game, earn 4 francs for every red card in the Exit Stack.
Butcher (Butcher’s Shop)
Starting now, you can kill as many travelers as you want in one Kill a Guest action.
You have to play a number of Guest cards from your hand that adds up to the total ranks of the killed travelers.
For example: If you kill a rank-1 traveler and a rank-2 traveler, you will use up 3 accomplices from your hand.
Be careful: This rule only applies to Travelers in rooms, not to Peasants.
Newsboy (Kiosk)
Hey there! Wanna earn 1F for every blue annex you’ve built, including this one? Well, just build a kiosk right away, and you’re good to go!
Now, here’s a tip: it’s better to construct a kiosk towards the end of the game. Why, you ask? Well, because you can’t bury corpses under it. Just something to keep in mind!
Representative (Parlor)
Let me tell you a little secret. With the representative in your corner, you can play one fewer accomplice card to perform the Bribe a Guest action. Pretty neat, right?
Oh, and get this! You can bribe a rank-2 traveler by playing just one card from your hand. No need to sweat about taking advantage of the parlor every time you want to bribe someone. Easy peasy!
Concierge (Room Service)
Picture this: you place a Room Service token next to a Key token, and voila! Now, every time a guest rents this room, they have to pay an amount equal to their rank. So, if they’re a rank-3 traveler, they’ll pay 3F right away!
Here’s the deal: there can only be one Room Service token per room. Simple, right? Just remember that when you’re raking in the profits!
Grocer (Grocery)
Looking for some extra cash? Well, how about this? With the grocer, you can immediately place a Room Service token next to a Key token. And guess what? Every time a guest rents this room, they pay you a sum equal to their rank. Cha-ching!
Remember, though, there can only be one Room Service token per room. Just something to keep in mind as you become the richest innkeeper in town!
When you play this card, you will instantly earn 4 francs. And at the end of the game, you’ll receive an additional 4 francs for each blue card in your Exit Stack.
The Shopkeeper’s Offer
The Shopkeeper now grants you the power to bribe as many travelers as you wish in a single Bribe a Guest action.
To use this ability, you must play a number of Guest cards from your hand that is equal to the combined ranks of the chosen cards.
For example: If you want to bribe two guests who each have a rank of 2, it will cost you a total of 4 cards.
Note: Keep in mind that this ability only applies to Travelers in the rooms, not to Peasants.
Brewer (Brewery)
Starting now, you can bribe up to four peasants all at once in a single action called “Bribe a Guest.”
Be careful, though, because you still have to pay your peasants’ wages!
Novice (Altar)
Right away, you get 1F for each purple annex you’ve built, including the one you’re in right now.
It’s best to build an altar near the end of the game because you can’t bury corpses under it.
Monk (Room)
Immediately, you can swap one of the white Key tokens with one of your own Key tokens.
The Monk allows you to take control of one of the neutral rooms (the total number of available rooms won’t change).
The Abbot (Cellar)
Hey there! I’ve got a new trick up my sleeve for you. Now, when you want to bury a corpse, you can play one less accomplice than usual. Pretty nifty, huh?
For example, let’s say you have a rank-3 corpse to bury. Instead of having to play three cards from your hand, you can now do it with just two. Oh, and here’s the best part: You don’t even have to use the cellar for this trick!
The Priest (Chapel)
Listen up, I’ve got something cool to tell you. From now on, when you bury a corpse, you can keep those other types of accomplices you have. No need to discard them anymore!
Here’s an example to make it clear. Let’s say you buried a rank-1 corpse and you used a Peasant as an accomplice. Normally, the Peasant would be gone for good, but not anymore. You can bring that Peasant right back into your hand! How convenient, right?
The Archbishop (Crypt)
Hold on to your hats because this one is a game-changer. You can now bury as many corpses as you want in one go. That’s right, no limits!
But here’s the thing: you have to play all the accomplices at once. The number of accomplices you play must equal the total rank of the chosen corpses.
Let me give you an example. If you want to bury two rank-1 corpses in a single action, then you need to play two cards. Simple as that!
Bishop (Bishopric)
When I become a Bishop, I can earn 4 francs right away. And you know what’s even better? At the end of the game, I’ll earn an additional 4 francs for each purple card I have in the Exit Stack. Pretty cool, huh?
Baron (Grand Chandelier)
As a Baron, I’ll immediately earn 4 francs. That’s some good pocket money, don’t you think?
Viscount (King Size Bed)
Now imagine this – I become a Viscount and I instantly earn 6 whole francs! This is starting to sound like a pretty sweet deal, isn’t it?
Count (Dining Room)
As soon as you enter the Dining Room, you will instantly receive 9 francs.
Duke (Stables)
When you arrive at the Stables, you will instantly receive 4 francs. And when the game ends, you will earn 4 francs for every green card in your Exit Stack.
Prince (Greenhouse)
At the end of the game, you can earn 3 francs for each check you possess. These checks will help you earn some extra money.
Marquis (Pavilion)
When you step into the Pavilion, you will immediately receive a hefty sum of 18 francs.
