The Exciting Game Rules of UNO BTS

Welcome to UNO BTS! I’m here to guide you through the rules of this super fun game. UNO BTS is a special version of the classic UNO game designed in collaboration with the popular Korean boy band BTS. Let’s dive into the rules and get ready for an amazing gameplay experience!

The Goal of the Game: The goal of UNO BTS is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards. Sounds simple, right? Well, there’s a twist! As you play, you’ll encounter action cards that can shake things up and add some excitement to the game.

Basic Rules:

1. Starting the Game: To start the game, each player is dealt 7 cards. The rest of the cards are placed facedown in the center to form the draw pile. The top card of the draw pile is then turned face-up to start the discard pile.

2. Taking Turns: The player to the left of the dealer goes first, and the game proceeds clockwise. On your turn, you must match the top card of the discard pile by either color or number. For example, if the top card is a red 5, you can play any red card or any card with the number 5. If you don’t have a matching card, you must draw a card from the draw pile. If the drawn card is a match, you can play it. Otherwise, your turn is over.

3. Action Cards: Action cards are the heart of UNO BTS. They can be used to shake up the game and give you an advantage. Here are some of the action cards you’ll encounter:

  • Skip Card: When you play this card, you can choose any opponent to skip their turn. They miss their chance to play and must draw a card instead.
  • Reverse Card: This card switches the direction of play. For example, if the game was moving clockwise, it will now move counterclockwise.
  • Wild Card: This card allows you to change the color of the discard pile. You can choose any color you want, even if you don’t have a card matching that color.
  • Draw Two Card: When you play this card, the next player must draw two cards and their turn is skipped. If they have a Draw Two Card, they can play it and make the next player draw four cards instead.

4. Special BTS Rule: UNO BTS includes a special rule inspired by BTS. If a BTS member’s image card is played, the next player must perform a BTS dance move chosen by the person who played the card. This rule is optional, but it adds a fun BTS twist to the game!

5. Going Out: When you have just one card left, you must shout “UNO!” to let the other players know. If you forget to say UNO and another player notices, you must draw two additional cards as a penalty. The game continues until one player gets rid of all their cards.

6. Scoring: At the end of each round, the winner is awarded points based on the cards left in their opponents’ hands. The points are tallied, and the first player to reach a certain point threshold becomes the winner of the overall game.

Now it’s time to gather your friends and enjoy the exciting world of UNO BTS! Have a blast playing this unique game and immerse yourself in the world of BTS as you aim for victory!

The Aim of The Game

The aim is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards in each round, and earn points based on the cards your opponents are left holding. The points from each round add up, and the first player to reach 500 points wins!

Setting Up

In the game of Uno, there are a few important steps to follow. First, each player will draw a card, and whoever gets the highest number will become the dealer. Don’t forget to count any cards with symbols as zero! Once the dealer is determined, they will shuffle the deck and deal out 7 cards to each player.

After the cards are dealt, the remaining deck is placed face down to create a DRAW pile. Make sure to keep this pile within reach of all players. The top card of the DRAW pile is then turned over to start the DISCARD pile.

Now that we know the setup, let’s get started with the game! Remember to follow these steps in order to play Uno successfully:

  1. On your turn, you must play a card from your hand that matches either the color, number, or symbol of the card on top of the DISCARD pile. If you don’t have a playable card, you must draw a card from the DRAW pile.
  2. If you choose to draw a card, you can play it immediately if it matches the top card of the DISCARD pile. Otherwise, your turn is over.
  3. As the game progresses, you may encounter special action cards. These cards have unique abilities that can change the course of the game. Be prepared to react accordingly!
  4. The ultimate goal of Uno is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards. Once you play your last card, don’t forget to shout “Uno!” to let the other players know.
  5. If you forget to say “Uno” and another player catches you, you must draw 2 penalty cards. So keep your wits about you!
  6. When the DRAW pile runs out, shuffle the DISCARD pile (excluding the top card) to create a new DRAW pile.
  7. If no one has won when a player runs out of cards, the game continues until one player successfully gets rid of all their cards.
  8. And that’s it! Now that you know the basic rules of Uno, gather your friends and family and enjoy a lively game together. Remember, it’s all about fun and friendly competition!

How to Play

Let’s talk about how to play this game.

When it’s my turn, I’ll start by matching a card from my hand to the card on top of the DISCARD pile. I can match it by the number, color, or symbol on the card (symbols mean it’s an Action Card).

For example, if the card on top of the DISCARD pile is a blue 7, I can put down a blue card OR any color 7. I could also use a Wild card.

If I don’t have a card that matches, I have to pick up a card from the DRAW pile. If the card I picked up can be played, I can put it down right away. If not, it’s the next person’s turn.

I can also choose not to play a card from my hand. In that case, I must draw a card from the DRAW pile.

If you’re able to play it, you can lay down that card on the same turn. Just remember, once you draw a card, you can’t play any other cards from your hand.

Action Cards

Action Cards are an exciting and interactive way to add some fun and challenge to your game. They are a popular feature in many card games and can really spice things up. Action Cards are designed to introduce unexpected twists and turns that can change the course of the game in an instant.

Let me tell you why Action Cards are such a hit among players like you and me. First of all, they keep the game interesting and unpredictable. You never know what card you’re going to draw next or what effect it will have. It adds an element of surprise and excitement that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Action Cards also add a layer of strategy to the game. When you play an Action Card, you have to carefully consider the consequences and how it will affect your opponents. You can use them to your advantage and disrupt your opponents’ plans, or you can save them for when you really need them. It’s all about making the right move at the right time.

But that’s not all – Action Cards also encourage interaction and engagement among players. They often require you to interact with other players or to make decisions that affect everyone at the table. This creates a sense of camaraderie and competition as you strategize together and try to outsmart each other.

So, if you’re looking to add some excitement and unpredictability to your game, Action Cards are a great choice. Just make sure to read the rules and understand how each card works. And remember, the key to winning is using your Action Cards wisely and adapting to the unexpected.

Are you ready to shake things up with Action Cards? Give them a try and see how they can take your game to the next level. Trust me, once you experience the thrill of playing with Action Cards, you won’t be able to go back. Get ready for a gaming experience like no other!

Draw Two Card

When you use this card, the person who plays after you has to pick up 2 cards and skip their turn. You can only use this card if it matches the color of the previous card or if it matches another Draw Two card.

If this card is drawn at the start of the game, the same rule still applies.

Reversing the Game

When you use this card, things take an unexpected turn. The flow of play switches direction, flipping from left to right or right to left. But there’s a catch – this card can only be played on a matching color or on another Reverse card.

If this tricky card shows up at the start, it flips the game completely. Instead of starting on the left, the dealer goes first, and the game begins moving in the opposite direction!

Skip Card

When I play this card, you get “skipped” (lose your turn). This card can only be played on a card with the same color or on another Skip card.

If a Skip card is revealed at the start, the player on the left of the dealer gets “skipped.” Therefore, the player to their left begins the game.

Wild Card

When I play this card, I have the power to pick any color to keep the game going (any color, even the one already on the table when the Wild card was played).

I can use the Wild card on my turn, even if I have another card that I could play. If the Wild card is the first card revealed, the person sitting to the left of the dealer gets to choose the color that keeps the game going.

The Exciting Wild Draw 4 Card

When I play this card, I get to pick the color that keeps the game going, and the next player has a surprise in store – they have to draw 4 cards from the DRAW pile and skip their turn! But wait, there’s a catch!

I can only use this card when I don’t have any other card in my hand that matches the COLOR on the DISCARD pile. However, I can still play this card if I have cards with the same number or Action Cards. It adds a twist to the game!

If this card shows up at the start of the game, I have to put it back into the deck and draw another card. It keeps things unpredictable!

Note: If you think someone played a Wild Draw 4 card on you when they shouldn’t have (meaning they had a matching card), you can challenge them.

The person you challenge has to show you their hand. If they’re guilty, they have to draw the 4 cards themselves instead of you.

But here’s the catch – if the person you challenge is innocent, you have to draw not just 4 cards, but 2 more on top of that (6 cards total)!

Dancing Wild Card

Hey there! So, when you throw down this card during the game, the next person in line has to bust out their best BTS dance moves for everyone to see. Or, if they’d rather not dance, they can just draw three cards instead. Tough choice, right?

Oh, and here’s the best part: this card is a total wild card! That means you get to pick the color that play continues with. How cool is that?

But hey, if this card happens to be the very first one to come up, then it’s up to the person on the left of the dealer to decide which color gets things started. They’ve got the power!

Going Out

Alright, here’s the deal. When you’re down to your very last card, you gotta let everyone know by shouting “UNO!” Yup, just one word to announce that you’ve got only one card left. If you forget to yell it out and you get caught before the next player takes their turn, well, you’re gonna have to draw two extra cards. Bummer.

Once a player doesn’t have any cards left at all, that’s the end of the round, my friend. Then it’s time to score some points (check out the SCORING section) and start a fresh round of play. Fun times!

If the last card played in a round is a Draw Two or Wild Draw Four card, you have to draw 2 or 4 cards, respectively. Don’t forget to count these cards when tallying your points.

If nobody has run out of cards by the time the DRAW pile is empty, we shuffle the DISCARD pile and keep playing.

Scoring

When you’re the first player to get rid of all your cards in a round, you earn points based on the cards left in your opponents’ hands:

  • Every number card (0-9): Worth its face value
  • Draw Two: 20 Points
  • Reverse: 20 Points
  • Skip: 20 Points
  • Wild: 50 Points
  • Wild Draw Four: 50 Points
  • Dancing Wild: 50 Points

After tallying the points for the round, if no player has reached 500 points yet, we shuffle the cards and start a new round.
