Each team takes turns like this, answering questions and collecting wedges. Oh, and here’s a little twist – when you land on a wedge space, you have the opportunity to steal a wedge from another team. Talk about turning up the heat!
The Categories

When you play Trivial Pursuit Team, you’ll go through four rounds. In each round, there will be six question cards placed face down next to the board. Your team will take turns picking a card, answering the question, and trying to earn as many points as you can. The team that has the highest number of points after all the cards have been played will be the winner.

What’s the Point?
The goal is to move as far as possible on the path by earning points for giving correct answers.
Getting Started
- First, I’ll set up the gameboard and put the two movers on the START space.
- I’ll choose a deck of cards and unwrap it. Remember, I shouldn’t shuffle the cards – it’s important to keep them in order. I’ll take out the rules card (the top one) and the scorecard (the bottom one) and put them on the table for reference. Then, I’ll place the cards face down in the card holder. By the way: To open the card holder, look for the small bumps on the side and push the lid up.
Round One
- Now, I’ll draw the first card and read it out loud. This card will tell us the rules for Round One.
- Next, I’ll draw the next six cards and place them face down on the table.
- The team that’s going first will choose a card from the table, and the other team will read it to them.
- If our team does well, we’ll move ahead the number of points we earned.
- Put the card in the discard pile.
- Now it’s the next team’s turn.
Repeat this process for Rounds Two through Four until you run out of cards.
The Card Packs
There are 12 card packs in the game, and each pack is a complete game. These packs contain 30 cards in total: a rules card, a scorecard, 4 cards that divide the game into rounds, and 24 question cards. The team that is the furthest along the path after the last question in Round Four is played is declared the winner.

The Questions

Multiple Choice
- On your first try, getting the answer right earns you 6 points.
- If you need a second try, scoring the correct answer will grant you 3 points.
- And even if it takes you three tries to get it right, you’ll still earn 1 point.
Are You The Expert?
- When you answer a question on your own, you score 6 points.
- If you answer as a team, you will earn 3 points.
Reference Point
Today, I want to talk about something really interesting – a connection. I’m going to give you some information, and I want you to answer three questions that are related to that information. Each correct answer is worth two points.
Do You Know Your Stuff?
I’m going to give you a category, and I want you to name six things that are connected to it. You only have six guesses, and even if your answers are incorrect, you won’t lose points. Each correct answer is worth one point.
More or Less
Here’s a fun game: I’ll give you two options – hard or easy. If you choose the hard option and get it right, you’ll earn six points. However, if you choose the easy option and get it right, you’ll earn three points.
True or False
