Tribond Junior Game Rules
Hey there! Are you ready to dive into the exciting world of Tribond Junior? I know you’re curious about the rules, so let’s get started right away!
In this cool game, we’re going to challenge your brain with some clever questions. Don’t worry, it’s going to be a lot of fun! The goal is simple – you need to find the common bond between three seemingly unrelated things. Sounds tricky, right? But trust me, with a little bit of thought, you’ll be able to crack the code!
Alright, here’s how it works. I’m going to give you three clues, and your job is to figure out what connects them. It could be anything – a word, a concept, or even a feeling. Your task is to dig deep into your brain and make those connections.
Just to make things clearer, let me give you an example. Ready? Here we go!
I’m going to give you three words – guitar, piano, and drums. Can you find the bond between them? Well, I’m not going to keep you in suspense – all three of these things are musical instruments! See how it works? Now it’s your turn to show off your skills.
Remember, don’t rush! Take your time and think it through. Sometimes the bond might be obvious, but other times you’ll need to look at things from a different angle. That’s what makes Tribond Junior so much fun – it challenges your mind and makes you think outside the box.
Oh, and one more thing – don’t be afraid to take a guess! Even if you’re not 100% sure, give it a shot. You never know – you might stumble upon the correct answer and surprise yourself!
So, are you ready to put your thinking cap on and dive into the world of Tribond Junior? I bet you are! Gather your friends, set up the game, and let the bonding begin. Remember, the more you play, the sharper your mind becomes!
Alright, that’s all from me. Have an amazing time playing Tribond Junior and may the connections be in your favor!

To win, all you have to do is have fun, solve riddles, and be the first to make it around the game board and back home. Here’s how you can set it up:
First, take one of the card decks and slide it into the Card Sleeve with the “Q” sides facing the “Draw” side of the Sleeve.
Next, open up the Game Board and place it on the table. Each player should choose a Pawn and put it on the “Home” spot in the middle of the Board. To decide who goes first, roll the Number Die and see who gets the highest number.
If you roll the highest number, congratulations! You get to play first and choose another player to be the first Card Reader.
After your turn, play moves to the player on your left.
Now that you know how to set up the game, let’s talk about how to play it.

On your turn, roll both dice and listen to the Card Reader. If you can solve the Threezer riddle correctly, you get to move your Pawn to the next spot on the Game Board that matches the color you rolled. Your turn ends there. If you roll a white and manage to solve the Threezer riddle correctly, you have the option to switch your Pawn with any other one on the Game Board, but remember, you don’t have to. However, if you can’t solve the Threezer riddle or if your answer is wrong, simply stay where you are on the Game Board and wait for your next turn.
What is a Threezer Riddle?
A Threezer riddle is a clever puzzle that presents you with a list of three things that share a common characteristic. At first glance, these items may seem completely unrelated, but don’t let that fool you – there’s a hidden connection waiting to be discovered!
Let me show you a few examples:
- A Car, a tree, an elephant.Answer – They have trunks
- Brown, Polar, Grizzly.Answer – They’re bears
- Olive, Lime, Emerald.Answer – They’re shades of green.
If you’re up for the challenge

- I’ll wait for you to roll the dice.
- I’ll draw a card from the “Draw” side of the Card Sleeve. I’ll read aloud the Threezer riddle next to the number you rolled.
- You’ll give an answer, and I’ll check on the back of the card (the “A” side) to see if it’s right.
- I’ll put the used card back into the Card Sleeve in the “Discard” end.
- When your turn is over, I’ll pass the Card Sleeve to the left.
But sometimes…
Sometimes, your answer may not be exactly correct. For example, if the Threezer riddle OLIVE, LIME, EMERALD is answered “colors,” I might ask you to be more specific. I might accept “green colors,” “they’re all green,” or “shades of green.” It depends on how specific I want the answer to be.
Once in a while, you might see words in parentheses on the cards as part of an answer. They’re provided for your knowledge, but you don’t have to mention them to get the Threezer riddle right.
Sometimes you may come up with an answer that doesn’t match the one on the card. If everyone agrees that it’s a good answer, then it’s acceptable, and you can move your pawn.
Time
We don’t like to set a specific time limit for solving a Threezer riddle, but if you feel like you need one, we believe that thirty seconds is a reasonable amount of time.
Do the Bump
Repeat after me. Bump, Bump, Bump! If you land on a space where someone else is already parked, you get to Bump them back to the spot you just came from.

Being the Bumper in a game of Bump is a blast, but if you’re the one being bumped, it can be a real downer. The rules are simple: no two Pawns can occupy the same spot, so if you’re in the way, you’ll get bumped!
What about the Cards?
Every now and then, when you use the Card Reader, you might come across a card that doesn’t have a Threezer riddle. Instead, it has something different written on it.
So, you’ve come across one of these and you’re not sure what to do. Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered with some simple steps to follow:
Step 1: Skip It!
First things first, if you encounter one of these, just skip it. You don’t need to engage with it or dive into it right away. Sometimes, it’s better to move on and focus on more important things.
Step 2: Backtrack!
In case you skipped it and later changed your mind, don’t worry. You can always go back and give it another shot. It’s perfectly fine to backtrack and see if it holds any value or if it’s worth your time and effort.
Remember, the Bump rule still applies even if you choose to skip or backtrack. Don’t rush into things if you’re not ready yet.
Shortcuts Can Help
When encountering one of these, you might find it useful to know a few shortcuts:
- Take a deep breath and relax.
- Identify your priorities and objectives.
- Ask yourself if it aligns with your goals.
- Consider the potential benefits and drawbacks.
- Trust your instincts and intuition.
By following these simple steps, you’ll be better equipped to navigate through the maze of choices and make decisions that truly matter to you. Remember, it’s your life and your choices should always reflect your values and aspirations.
When you play the game, remember to always stay on the path that is closest to the edge of the Game Board. Unless, of course, you happen to land on a Shortcut Spot. These spots are special because they let you take a faster route that runs close to Home.
If it’s your turn and you’re lucky enough to be on a Shortcut Spot, there’s a fun challenge waiting for you. You get to solve a Threezer riddle! If you answer correctly, you can choose to take the Shortcut path instead of the regular one.
But remember, once you pass the next Shortcut Spot, you have to get back on the regular path. However, there’s a chance for you to enjoy another Shortcut. If you roll a blue and land on the next Shortcut Spot, you get to take another Shortcut on your next turn! How lucky!
Almost There…
If you roll a color that is not on the game path between your pawn and Home, congratulations! You get to go Home! However, don’t celebrate just yet. On your next turn, you’ll have to solve another Threezer riddle correctly before you can claim victory. So stay sharp and don’t underestimate the big bad Bump!
It’s All About Winning
So, you want to win the game? Well, if you’re the first one to make it all the way around the Game Board, get back Home, and solve a Threezer riddle correctly, congratulations – you’ve won!
Let’s Play as a Team!
Hey, feeling like a team player today? No worries, the rules are just the same if you prefer team play. So, go team go!
