Welcome to Trash Pandas!
Hey there! Are you ready to dive into the exciting world of Trash Pandas? Well, put on your gloves and get ready to rummage through some trash bins as we learn the rules of this amazing game!
Objective:
The aim of Trash Pandas is to collect the most valuable items before the trash cans are emptied. The player with the highest point total at the end of the game wins. Let’s break it down so you can own that leaderboard:
Game Setup:
First things first, each player needs a Trash Panda card. These cards will be your identity throughout the game. Shuffle the Trash Card deck and deal 7 cards to each player. Place the remaining cards face down in a neat pile. This is the draw pile. Now, you’re all set up and ready to start rummaging!
Playing the Game:
On your turn, you get to explore a trash can! You can either take a risk and draw the top card from the draw pile or play it safe and rummage through the top card of the trash can discard pile. But remember, if you draw a “Raccoon” card, you’ll lose all the cards you’ve collected during that turn. So, choose wisely!
Alright, now that you’ve made your choice, let’s see what you found:
Cards and Their Values:
- Food: Collect these yummy treats to score points at the end of the game.
- Recycle: These items help save the environment and score you some great points, too!
- Trash: These cards don’t give you any points, but they can be used to protect your valuable items from being stolen.
- Raccoon: Uh-oh! If you draw this card, you lose all the cards you’ve collected this turn. Darn those clever raccoons!
The game continues with each player taking turns, exploring trash cans, and collecting items. The rounds keep going until there are no cards left in the draw pile and each player has had an equal number of turns.
Scoring:
Now it’s time to find out who the ultimate Trash Panda is! Each player calculates their score by adding up the points from their collected cards. The player with the highest score wins the game and earns the prestigious title of Chief Trash Panda!
Are you ready to become the ultimate Trash Panda?
Well, now that you know the rules, gather your friends and get ready to rumble! Remember, keep an eye out for those raccoons – they can be tricky! Happy rummaging!
Hey there, my fellow trash-dwelling raccoon enthusiasts! Let’s talk about a game that’s all about our favorite pastime: tipping over those delicious trash cans and snagging shiny trinkets! Are you ready to dive into the world of raccoon mischief? Then join me as we explore the exciting game of Raccoon Ruckus!
In Raccoon Ruckus, it’s a race against time to gather as many cards as you can from the trash. Will you push your luck and go for more, or play it safe and stash them away for later? The choice is yours, my friend.
But here’s the trick: in order for those cards to count towards your victory, you must carefully stash them. That’s right, no hoarding here! So, strategize wisely and plan your moves to ensure you come out on top when it’s all said and done.
Once the deck runs out and the game comes to an end, it’s time for the big reveal. Unveil your collection of hidden treasures and score points based on who has the majority of each card type. May the raccoon with the most points reign supreme!
The Game of Trashy Triumph
In the game, cards serve a dual purpose. First, they contribute points when you collect them. The icons at the top left corner indicate the number of points you earn for having the most, second most, and third most of a particular type of card.
Secondly, each card has a special ability that you can use instead of collecting it. At the bottom of each card, you will find an action that you can activate. To do this, simply discard the card face up next to the trash can (this pile is public information) and follow the instructions written on the card. You have the freedom to play as many actions as you want during your turn.
There are two special actions called “protect” and “steal” on the Doggo and Kitteh cards. You can only use these actions when it is another player’s turn, and only if you are the target of a Steal action. Remember, there are no limits to how many cards you can hold in your hand or stash.
Setting Up the Game
Here is how you set up the game:
- Arrange the 6 tokens in a line, right in the center of the play area.
- Put the die near the tokens.
First, you need to remove the “Token Actions” card and put it somewhere you can see it easily. Then, whoever took out the trash gets to go first. Shuffle the deck and deal the cards, face down, according to the turn order. Player 1 gets 3 cards, Player 2 gets 4 cards, Player 3 gets 5 cards, and Player 4 gets 6 cards.
(Take a look at your cards, but keep them hidden from your opponents). Stack the remaining deck face down next to you to create the “trash can”.
Playing the Game
When you start playing this game, the player with the fewest cards in hand goes first. Then, the turn moves to the person on their left. It’s important to follow these steps in order:
A. Rolling the Die
The first thing you need to do on your turn is roll the die. This will determine how many spaces you can move your game piece. Keep in mind that the number you roll is the number of spaces you move forward.
B. Moving Your Game Piece
After you roll the die, it’s time to move your game piece. You can move it forward the number of spaces that you rolled. Remember, the goal is to reach the finish line first, so choose your moves wisely!
C. Drawing a Card
Once you’ve moved your game piece, it’s time to draw a card. These cards can have all sorts of surprises, so pay close attention. They might help you get ahead or set you back, so be prepared for anything!
D. Following the Instructions
Each card has instructions on it. Make sure to read and follow them carefully. They might tell you to move forward or backward, skip turns, or even trade places with another player. A single card can change the whole game, so be ready!
E. Ending Your Turn
Finally, you can end your turn. Pass the die to the player on your left, and they will follow the same steps. The game continues until someone reaches the finish line. So keep rolling, moving, and following those cards, and you might just be the winner!
F. Winning the Game
The player who reaches the finish line first is the winner. You need a bit of luck, strategy, and quick thinking to come out on top. So give it your all and enjoy the exciting journey to victory!
When I roll the die, I get to choose a token that matches the number on the die. It’s like a little reward for my roll!
Now, I have to make a decision. Do I want to keep rolling or stop? If I decide to stop rolling, I move on to resolve the tokens.
But if I want to keep going, I’ll roll the die again and take the token that matches the new number. However, I have to be careful. If I ever roll a number that I’ve already taken, I bust! That means I don’t get any tokens and I have to put all the ones I’ve collected back in the middle. Then the next player gets a turn.
Oh, here’s a tip for you! If you have a Blammo! card, you can use it to re-roll and maybe save yourself from busting. And if you have a Nanners card, you can ignore the last roll and change the result. Pretty cool, right?
But wait, there’s more! If I do bust, I get a consolation prize. I get to draw a card from the trash can and add it to my hand. So, even if things don’t go my way, I still get a little something.
Bonus: If you manage to collect all six tokens, go immediately to Resolve Tokens, and then take a bonus turn. With this bonus turn, however, you are limited to collecting a maximum of three tokens.
Now, let’s talk about what happens when you collect all six tokens. It’s like unlocking a special reward – you get to resolve the tokens and then take a bonus turn! But there’s a catch. During this bonus turn, you can only collect a maximum of three tokens.
It’s important to note that this bonus turn is still part of the same turn. So even if you’ve played all your cards and have nothing left, you can still roll the die and try your luck with the stash or steal functions.
B. Resolve Tokens
When you decide to stop rolling, you’ll need to resolve each of the tokens you’ve collected. You can resolve them in any order you like.
Just put each token back in the middle once you’ve resolved it. And remember, once you’ve resolved all your tokens, your turn is over. Then it’s time to pass the die to the next player.
Die Faces / Tokens
Draw up to two cards from the trash can into your hand. (You can’t draw from the discard pile.)
Put up to two cards from your hand aside. These stashed cards remain face down until the end of the game. Don’t forget, you can always look at your stashed cards.
You can either draw one card from the trash can or stash one card from your hand.
Take one random card from another player’s hand (excluding their stashed cards). But watch out! The other player can play a “Doggo” or “Kitteh” card to prevent the theft if they have one.
Draw the top card from the trash can and show it to all the other players. Then add the card to your hand. At this point, each player has the option to stash one card from their hand that matches the revealed card. |
I want to talk to you about the importance of understanding the rules for playing this game. It’s not as simple as just picking up a deck of cards and starting to play. There are certain things you need to keep in mind in order to have a successful game.
First, let’s talk about resolving tokens. You have to be strategic in when you decide to resolve your tokens. It’s important to know that once you start resolving tokens, you can’t use any cards you gain during that turn. So if you draw a card while resolving a token, you have to wait to use it on a later turn. You can’t use any cards gained during the same turn unless you stash them.
Stashing cards is another key concept to understand. You’re only allowed to stash cards if you use a Tree or Bandit Mask action. And any cards that haven’t been stashed must stay in your hand. Stashed cards are kept face down, unless you use the Bandit Mask token action.
Finally, it’s important to know that if you ever try to draw a card and there aren’t any left, the game ends.
Now let’s talk about the end of the game. When there are no cards left to draw, the game is over. It’s as simple as that.
So remember, in order to play this game successfully, you need to understand and follow these rules. Happy gaming!
When the final trash can card is drawn, it’s the end of the game and my turn is over. After that, all of us need to get rid of any cards we still have in our hands. Then, it’s time to take a peek at the stash we’ve collected throughout the game and organize them based on their type.
When it comes to playing the game, I’ll teach you how to calculate your score. It’s important to understand how many cards of each type you and your opponents have. Take a look at the icons in the upper left corner of each card and compare them.
Remember, in order to score any points for a type of card, you need to have at least one of that type. For example, if you have the most Feesh cards, you’ll score five points.
If there is a tie, the players involved will receive one less point. So, if two players tie for the most Feesh cards, they both score four points instead of five.
Now, let’s say there’s a tie for first place with the most Feesh cards. The player with the next most Feesh cards will move to second place and score three points because of the tie for first.
You’ll also score one point for each Blammo! card you stash.
Finally, we count up all the points and compare them. And guess what? Whoever has the most points wins!
