Tramways Game Rules

Hey there! Ready to dive into the exciting world of Tramways? Let me walk you through the game rules.

First things first, let’s talk about the objective of the game. Your goal is to construct an efficient and reliable transportation network for the bustling city. You’ll be in charge of building tramways, stations, and other infrastructure to connect different areas.

To start, we need to set up the game board. Place the board in the center of the table. Make sure everyone can reach it easily. Now, let’s distribute the player boards and choose a color for each player. These player boards will be where you keep track of your resources and progress throughout the game.

Next, it’s time to shuffle the deck of action cards and deal a hand to each player. You’ll use these cards to take actions and make decisions during your turn. Don’t worry, I’ll explain how they work in just a moment.

Every round of the game is divided into four phases: draw action cards, perform actions, service your network, and end of round. Here’s a breakdown of what happens in each phase:

In the draw action cards phase, you’ll replenish your hand of action cards. I’ll explain how to use them shortly.

The second phase is where you get to take actions. Each player can take up to two actions on their turn. These actions include building tramways, stations, and other infrastructure, as well as laying tiles and expanding your network. Use your action cards strategically to make the most of your turn.

Once all players have taken their actions, it’s time to service your network. This is where you’ll collect passengers, generate income, and make any necessary repairs to your tramways and stations. Keep an eye on your resources and make smart decisions to keep your network running smoothly.

Finally, we reach the end of the round phase. At this point, you’ll check for end game conditions and prepare for the next round.

Throughout the game, you’ll earn victory points by completing objectives, connecting areas, and providing efficient transportation for the city’s residents. The player with the most victory points at the end of the game wins!

So, are you ready to embark on your Tramways adventure? I thought so! Grab your action cards, choose your strategies wisely, and build the ultimate transportation network. Have fun and happy tramway building!

Welcome to Small City, a thriving town that emerged in the 1920’s. Although still young, the Town Center is bustling with prosperity. Our vibrant community has seen the strange CliniC being shut down and its managers imprisoned for years.

But Small City is more than just buildings; it needs a reliable transportation network to swiftly connect people to where they need to be. We want to make travel convenient and fast, sparing our citizens from exhausted feet.

As a resident of Small City, you begin the game in different parts of the town, such as residential neighborhoods, factories, shops, and entertainment venues. Your goal is to create a tramway system that links these locations together. By doing so, you will earn money and accumulate Happiness Points, which determine your success in the game.

Hey, have you ever thought about how the actions we take can affect the stress levels of the people around us? It’s something we should really consider, because the more we push and hurry them, the more stressed they become. And that stress doesn’t just disappear – it builds up and affects everyone in the area.

What Makes a Difference?

Welcome to Small City!

So, you’ve decided to embark on a journey to Small City—a bustling metropolis with endless possibilities. Let me guide you through the setup:

How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess

If you’re looking for a challenging game of 1910 Rail Journey, there are a few key things to consider. First, select two modular map boards. You can choose to use either the normal 1920 side or the difficult 1910 side for each board, and you can mix and match them. The number of players will determine how many boards you need.

On board B, make sure to use the side marked with * B1 * for the difficult 1910 side. Three of the boards have “J” Parcel spaces, but remember not to use more than one J board.

It’s important to have at least four gray Parcel spaces in the game. If there aren’t enough, you’ll need to change your selection until you have at least four of them. Each gray Parcel space on the map corresponds to a Parcel card that will be included in the game. Return any other Parcel cards to the box.

To start playing, you can arrange the boards in any way you want to form a rectangular shape. Look at the illustration below as a guide. Make sure to place the Tramways Schedule board to the right of the map with the multiplayer side facing up.

Note: Although you have the flexibility to arrange the boards in any shape you like and rotate them in any direction, it is recommended to play with the rectangular shape for your first few games.

How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess

For a more challenging game with only two expert players, you can choose to play with only three modular boards (3×1) instead of the regular setup. However, ensure that you still keep eight Parcel spaces.

Now, it’s time to choose your player color. Each player should pick a color. You will need discs and Rail tiles of your chosen color, two gray Rail Worker meeples, a player board, and $3. Remember, the amount of money you have is public information.

Each player gets to decide whether they want to use the normal side of the player board, which has 2 rail workers and a longer Stress track, or the difficult side, which has 1 rail worker and a shorter Stress track.

In the normal game, you shuffle the Parcel card deck and give each player 4 Parcel cards. Place your player discs on the spaces that match the cards you have, but keep the cards in your hand.

In the advanced game, you first establish a random turn order. Then, you lay out the entire Parcel card deck face-up. You’re going to draft pairs of cards in turn order, and then reverse the turn order. So, the first player takes 2 cards, the second player takes 2 cards, and the last player takes 4 cards. Then, you reverse direction: the penultimate player takes 2 cards, and the first player takes 2 cards. Now, each player has 4 cards.

  • To begin, let’s set aside any remaining Parcel cards that correspond to map spaces. We’ll need them shortly.
  • Now, each player will receive 2 Generic cards. The first card will have a Build 2 Rail symbol along with a Rail Worker symbol, and the second card will have $1 and Build. Any remaining Generic cards can be put back in the box.
  • Next, place the Round marker on the first space of the Round track 1.
  • Let’s take one disc from each player to use as a turn order marker. These discs should then be placed in a random order on the turn order portion of the Tramways Schedule Board 2.
  • Now, place another disc of each player’s color on space 0 of the Happiness Points (HP) track 3.
  • Lastly, let’s place a white Passenger meeple on each R, L, C, and I space on the map. This means that the 2-space rectangles will have 2 meeples, with one on each space 4.
  • Here’s how you can create the Auction deck:

Start by shuffling the Auction cards that match the number of players you have. For a 2-player game, shuffle two Auction cards (How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess). For a 3-player game, shuffle two Auction cards (How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess) and four Parcel cards (How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess). For a 4-player game, shuffle two Auction cards (How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess), four Parcel cards (How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess), and a special card (@mmmm.jpg). And for a 5-player game, include all the cards.

Next, add enough Auction cards to the remaining Parcel cards until you have a total of 5 cards per player in the Auction deck.

Finally, return any leftover Auction cards back to the box. And that’s it! You’ve successfully created the Auction deck.

I see you’re interested in learning how to play Tramways! Let me break it down for you. To set up the game, you’ll need to do a few things. First, shuffle the Auction deck and put some cards face-up next to the board. The number of cards will depend on how many people are playing. Just a quick note: by the end of the game, all Parcel cards will be bought.

Now, let’s get into the rules.

  • To start the game, first, shuffle the 20 Development cards together and create a deck of 4 Tickets. Place any leftover Development cards back in the box.
  • Next, flip over the top card of each Ticket Book so that everyone can see it. Keep in mind that these cards aren’t the only Tickets in the game.
  • Now, in reverse turn order, each player will select a Ticket Book. Take a secret look at all the Tickets in the selected Ticket Book, and then choose one Ticket to add to your hand of 6 cards. This will be your starting hand.
  • Finally, place the selected Ticket Book back on the table, with one card from that Ticket Book placed face-up on top of the other 6 cards.
  • Alternate DC Rule: Let’s mix things up a bit! First, we’ll shuffle all the Development cards and give each player 4 Tickets. Any remaining cards go back in the box. Now, here’s where it gets interesting. Each player secretly chooses one Ticket from their hand, and the rest are used to form a deck. Shuffle that deck, so it’s all random. Easy peasy, right? During the game, we’ll have 3 Development cards face-up for everyone to see. Whenever you drop off a passenger at a Commerce Building, you get to pick from those face-up cards. Don’t worry, though. If you don’t like the options, you can draw a blind card instead. Fun, huh?
  • Now, onto Stress. After each player has taken a Ticket using either the Original or Alternate DC Rule, it’s time to tackle the Stress track. Grab a disc in your color and place it on space “1” of the track on your player board. Trust me, playing an Alban Viard game is a delightful mix of excitement and pressure! And don’t forget, your player board shows that you have a hand limit of 7 cards. Gotta keep that in mind!
  • I have prepared the game for you by following these steps:

All the coins and meeples that are still available are placed together in the common reserve. The Ticket Books are placed near the main Map and Schedule board. You will have the opportunity to purchase these tickets later on during the game.

Matching sets of Building tiles and Building cards are placed near the boards. For example, in a 3-player game, 2 green Residence tiles are placed near 2 Residence cards, 2 yellow Industrial tiles are placed near 2 Industrial cards, 2 blue Commerce tiles are placed near 2 Commerce cards, and 2 red Leisure tiles are placed near 2 Leisure cards. A white Passenger is placed on each Building tile. Please note that in a 2-player game, 2 Industrial tiles and cards are used instead. Any remaining Building cards and tiles should be returned to the box.

Here’s what you need to do to prepare for the game:

First, make sure each player has a Rules Reminder card. You only need one per player, so any extra cards can go back in the box.

Next, fill a cup with the 20 Building Type tiles. Now, randomly pick 5 of these tiles and place them in the boxes near the Round track spaces. These tiles will show what type of building will be available at the end of each of the 5 Rounds.

Let me give you an example of how to set up for a game with three players:

    Getting to Know the Basics

When it comes to websites, there are certain key factors to consider in order to make an impactful impression. First, it’s crucial to understand the importance of visual appeal. A well-designed website can captivate your audience, keeping them engaged and interested in what you have to offer. By investing time in creating an aesthetically pleasing website, you can elevate your brand and generate a positive response from visitors.

But design is only part of the equation. Functionality is equally important. A website that is easy to navigate will keep users coming back for more. It’s important to prioritize user experience and ensure that your website is intuitive and efficient, making it effortless for visitors to find the information they’re looking for. By providing a seamless browsing experience, you can foster trust and build credibility with your audience.

Another critical aspect to consider is the responsiveness of your website. In today’s digital age, people are accessing the internet from a variety of devices with different screen sizes. It’s essential that your website is mobile-friendly and adapts to different screen sizes, ensuring a consistent and enjoyable experience for all users.

Finally, the speed of your website is a crucial factor that must not be overlooked. In these fast-paced times, people expect websites to load quickly. Slow load times can lead to frustration and a high bounce rate. By optimizing your website’s performance, you can provide a seamless browsing experience and keep visitors engaged.

    Content is King

When someone visits your website, they are seeking information. It’s important to provide valuable and relevant content that meets the needs of your audience. By understanding your target audience and their interests, you can create content that resonates with them and keeps them coming back for more.

If you’re not a wordsmith, don’t worry! There are many resources available to help you create compelling content. From professional copywriters to online tutorials, you can find the support you need to craft engaging and informative content that showcases your expertise and builds trust with your audience.

It’s also important to keep your content fresh and up-to-date. Regularly updating your website with new content not only keeps your audience engaged, but it also improves your search engine rankings. Search engines love fresh content, so by consistently adding new information, you can increase your visibility and attract more visitors to your site.

    Stand Out from the Crowd

In today’s competitive online landscape, it’s important to set yourself apart from the competition. One way to do this is by incorporating unique and original design elements into your website. By creating a visually distinct website, you can capture the attention of your audience and leave a lasting impression.

Another way to stand out is by offering something unique in terms of content. Whether it’s a new perspective, in-depth research, or exclusive insights, providing a unique value proposition will differentiate your website from others in your industry. By offering something that no one else does, you can attract a loyal following and establish yourself as a thought leader in your field.

    The Power of Optimization

Once your website is live, it’s important to continuously monitor and optimize its performance. By analyzing user data and feedback, you can identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions to enhance user experience. Optimization is an ongoing process that requires constant attention and fine-tuning, but the rewards are well worth the effort.

Remember, your website is a reflection of your brand and the values it represents. By investing time and effort into creating a visually appealing, user-friendly, and optimized website, you can make a powerful impact on your audience and achieve your online goals. So, don’t underestimate the importance of getting these factors right, and let your website become a true masterpiece!

How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess

    • The game goes on for 6 Rounds. The first 5 Rounds follow the same pattern, but the 6th Round has a slight variation.
    • Even though we take turns taking actions, we don’t get new cards until the Administration Phase is over.
    • We use cards to represent Tickets. Each Ticket has 4 Action Icon slots, but not all of them will be filled with an Action Icon. However, whenever you play a Ticket, you have to use at least one Action Icon. Once you use a Ticket, put it in your discard pile.
    • The magnetic strip counts as an Action Icon.
    • You have the power to use more than one Action Icon in a single turn of the game. However, there is a catch – for each additional Action Icon you use from the same card after the first one, your stress level will increase by 1. You can choose the order in which you use the Action Icons, giving you some control over your strategy.
It is important to note that you cannot play a Ticket if you are unable to fully perform the chosen action(s). Make sure you have the means to complete the action before playing a Ticket.
Keep an eye out for Tickets with a Consequence in the lower-right corner. Before using an Action Icon from the same Ticket, you must first apply the Consequence. If you use multiple Action Icons from the same card, the Consequence only applies once, before any Action Icons are used.

      • When we talk about playing Action Icons, we mean playing Tickets. You have the flexibility to choose how many Action Icons you want to play on each Ticket, as long as you’re willing to take on stress.
      • Every time you become the start player after the Auction Phase, your stress level increases by one. If your stress level reaches 21 or goes beyond 21 (with your marker staying on 21), you will lose 1 Happiness Point (HP).

      Understanding Cards

How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess

      How to Play the Game

Playing the game is divided into three separate phases:

      1. Phase 1: Auction
      2. Phase 2: Actions
      3. Phase 3: Administration

      Phase 1: Auction

This is where things get interesting. Each player will receive a new card. First, let’s move all the Turn Order discs up to the second row to reflect the old turn order.

The player who starts the game has two options. They can either pass and take the last available position in the new turn order by moving their disc down to the last position in the bottom row, or they can place a bid using their personal cash and/or Money Action Icons (the cards with a coin symbol) from their hand.

If you use only Money Action Icons to pay, the bank will give you cash for change. Each bid must be paid right away. Each bid has to be different from all the bids before it in this round of bidding (that means your bid can’t be the same as any bid to the left of it), and it must be different from your previous bid.

So, let’s say I bid $2 as the first player; you, as the second player, could bid $1 or $3 or any amount different from $2. Then the third player would have to choose a third amount, and so on. But when the next round of bidding begins, I, as the first player, can change my bid from $2 to anything else because nobody’s bid marker is to the left of mine.

If I’m already in the lead when my turn comes up (that means nobody on my left has bid higher than me), I get to go first. I move my disc to the first spot in the bottom row.

But if someone on my left has bid more than me, I have to make a choice. I can either change my bid and pay the new amount (which includes everything I’ve bid so far), or I can pass. I can’t just bid the same amount again.

How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess

To sum it up, when it’s your turn to bid, you have three choices:

      1. If you were already winning, you automatically move to the front of the line in the new turn order.

      2. You can change your bid from the previous one, as long as it’s not the same as any disc to the left of it. You will also have to pay the new amount.

      3. Alternatively, you can pass and move to the back of the line in the new turn order.

While the bidding track has a limit of $10, you can bid more by stacking additional discs for every $10. For instance, if you put three discs on the $3 space, your bid would be $23, and you’ll need to pay the same amount in cash and/or cards.

Once all the players have either passed or reached the front row in the bidding process, the new turn order is finalized.

So here’s the deal, folks. When it’s my turn to go, I gotta up my Stress level by one. No choice in the matter. And then, here’s where things get interesting. Each player after me gets to pick a face-up Auction card and add it to their hand. That’s some valuable intel right there.

How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess

Let’s dive right into it. If you go over the maximum number of cards during this phase, that’s okay. The Auction Phase will end and we’ll move on. But first, let’s flip some new cards from the Auction deck for the next round, unless it’s already the fifth round.

Here are a couple of things to keep in mind:

      • How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMessIf you’ve chosen a Parcel card, go ahead and place a disc of your color on the corresponding space on the map. It’s based on the Parcel Number Action Icon on the card.
      • How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMessIf you’ve decided to go with a Void Ticket, you need to discard one non-Void card from your hand. Don’t worry, it’s a one-time thing. The discarded card goes into your personal discard.

      Now, onto Phase 2: Actions

Prepare for some action! This phase consists of two rounds of actions, happening in a specific order:

Hey there! Let’s talk about how the game works. So, in this game, you have two action rounds, and in each round, you have a couple of options.

      • Action Round 1: In this round, you can either perform one action or take $2 from the reserve.
      • Action Round 2: Now, in the second round, you have a few more options. You can either perform two actions, or perform one action and take $2 from the reserve. Alternatively, you can also choose not to perform any actions and still take $2 from the reserve.

Let’s move on to understanding what “Action Icons” are. When you play a card with an Action Icon, you have to show it to the other players first. But don’t worry, you get to keep the card after showing it off. However, before you discard it, you have a chance to play more Action Icons from that same card, but each additional one will cost you one Stress.

      A. Build or Upgrade Rails

How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess

Hey there! Did you know you have two options when it comes to rails in the game? You can either build new rails on a link or upgrade an existing link.

A complete link is a string of Rail tiles that connects one Building or Parcel to another without any breaks. The start of the link must point to a Parcel or a Building, and the end of the link must also point to a Parcel or a Building.

Let’s talk about building new rails on a link:

If you want to build rails on a link, here are the steps you need to follow:

      • Play one or more of these Action Icons: Build 1 / 2 / 3 Rail How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess
      • Discard 1 Rail Worker from your reserve How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess
      • If you manage to complete the link, you must play a destination Action Icon that matches one of the ends of the link.

Hey there! Have you ever wondered how connecting different spaces in a game can affect your actions? Well, let’s dive in and explore the exciting possibilities!

Imagine you’re playing a game, and you land on a Parcel space. Guess what? You can play that space’s Parcel Number Action Icon! Pretty cool, right?

Now, let’s say you land on a Building space. Well, guess what again? You can play the Building Type Action Icon! Double the fun!

But here’s where it gets really interesting. If you connect a Building to a Parcel, you have the choice to play either of the Action Icons: the Building Type or that Parcel Number. Talk about flexibility!

So, by connecting different spaces, you open up a whole new world of possibilities. It’s like unlocking secret levels in a video game!

How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess

When you’re playing the game, it’s important to know how many Rail tiles you need to build. The number of tiles you need is equal to the number of Rail symbols in the Action Icons you played. You can’t have more or less than what you need. If you don’t have any Rail symbols or Rail Workers, you won’t be able to take this action.

You can start your Rails from different places. It can be from a building (it doesn’t have to be yours), a Parcel space that belongs to you, or an incomplete link that belongs to you.

Don’t forget that when you play a card, you have to complete the action associated with the Action Icon(s) you choose. You can’t just play the card without doing anything.

Here are the actions you can choose from:

      1. Build Or Upgrade Rails.
      2. Build Or Upgrade A Building.
      3. Move One Passenger.

How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess

Note: Alright, listen up! Here’s something important you need to know: There are certain action icons that you cannot use right now. These icons are the Money, Get 1 Rail Worker, Add 1 Passenger, and Decrease Stress icons. Got it? Good.

How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess

Example: When it’s time to take action, you have the option to play this card. By doing so, you can construct 2 rail lines, but you won’t be able to use the “Get 1 Rail Worker” ability.

Note: If you’re willing to handle some stress, you can decrease the number of cards you need to play for your chosen action. However, keep in mind that this won’t grant you any extra actions during your turn.

A rail connection that links two locations (a location can be either a Parcel space or a colored Building space) is considered a complete link.

If you have a Build Rail symbol that you played, you can redirect the final rail tile in an unfinished link. Here’s how it works: Simply return the rail tile back to your pool, and substitute it with a new tile that points in a different direction. Keep in mind that trying to rebuild it the same way is considered cheating!

Imagine this: If you want to redirect your unfinished link, all you have to do is play a Build 3 Rail Action Icon. But here’s the catch: you’ll need to make use of the other 2 Rail symbols to build 2 Rail tiles. Don’t worry though, you’re free to start a new unfinished link even if you already have other incomplete ones.

But hang on! You need to remember that every time you work on a link, you have to say goodbye to 1 Rail Worker. So, if you leave a link incomplete, it’s going to end up costing you more Rail Workers to finish it.

Here’s the deal: if you have an incomplete link, you absolutely must work on it every single round of the game until it’s complete. If you don’t, here’s what happens – you lose the whole link! That’s right, all the Rail tiles in that link go poof and are sent back to your reserve!

Now, let’s talk about what you’re allowed to do:

      • You can build a Rail tile on a beige (plains) space. Go ahead and give it a shot!

I’m going to rewrite the provided text while maintaining its original meaning and keeping the HTML markup intact:

    • How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMessYou can place a Rail tile on a brown (mountain) space. However, each such space will cost an extra Build Rail symbol.
    • How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMessIf you create a crossroad or place 2 non-overlapping curves, you can build a second rail on a single space. Take a look at the example on the right to see how it works.
    • You can build a Rail tile on a gray (Parcel) space that belongs to you. This will cost you the usual Build 1 Rail Action Icon. However, you cannot build on a gray space that belongs to an opponent or one that is not yet claimed.
    • You are allowed to build a Rail beside a gray (Parcel) space that does not belong to you, as long as the Rail does not connect to the Parcel space.
    • Hey there! Let’s talk about how to play Tramways and go through some rules together. Are you ready? Great, let’s dive in!

So, when it comes to building your rail network in Tramways, there are a few important things you need to remember. First off, you can place rail tiles on different spaces, except for the blue (Lake) and Building spaces. Those are off-limits, my friend.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you can only build rail on a Parcel space that you own. We don’t want any unauthorized connections happening, right? Oh, and don’t even think about connecting two incomplete links that belong to different players. That’s a big no-no.

Now, let’s talk about some specific scenarios you should avoid. You can’t, for example, build a second rail on a single space unless you use a crossroad or the two non-overlapping curves. And pointing your rail off the edge of the board? Not cool.

One more thing before we wrap it up. Make sure you stick to working on your own Link and don’t touch your opponent’s. That’s just not fair play, my friend.

Alright, now that you have a better understanding of the rules, you’re ready to start building your epic rail network in Tramways. Enjoy the game and happy travels!

Hey there! Just a friendly reminder that you can’t play a Get 1 Rail Worker Action Icon during this phase, even if it’s your second, third, or fourth Action Icon. Trust me, you don’t want the extra Stress that comes with it. So, make sure you have all the Rail Workers you need before we begin!

Now, let’s talk about your Rail tiles. You have a limited number of them, both curves and straight lines. It’s important to use them wisely and not destroy any that you’ve already built. If you want to reclaim a Rail tile, there are two ways to do it. First, if you don’t work on an incomplete link during a round, the wasted Rail tiles will return to your reserve. Second, you can build a Building on a Parcel where you have a Rail tile, and that’ll do the trick too.

Here’s the deal with Rail Workers. You can never have more than 2 of them. So, at the end of a Round, you’ll end up with either:

      Upgrade an Existing Link

To Upgrade an Existing Link, you need to follow these steps:

How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess

When you’re playing this game, there are a few things you should keep in mind: the Upgrade Link Action Icon, the destination Action Icon, and the Rail tiles. These elements are important and will help you elevate your gameplay and improve your strategy.

First, let’s talk about the Upgrade Link Action Icon. This is a special move that you can make during your turn. It allows you to upgrade your link, which is a crucial part of the game. When you play this icon, you’ll get the chance to enhance your link and gain certain advantages. It’s like giving your link a power-up, making it stronger and more effective.

Next, we have the destination Action Icon. This icon represents a specific location or objective that you need to reach. When you play a destination icon, you’ll be able to progress in the game and move closer to your goal. It’s like taking a step in the right direction, bringing you one step closer to victory.

Now, let’s talk about the Rail tiles. These tiles are an important part of the game board. They represent the paths or tracks that you can take to reach different destinations. When you flip the Rail tiles in the link to their “upgraded” side, you’re unlocking new paths and possibilities. It’s like opening up new routes and options for your link to explore.

Finally, earning 3 HP is a valuable reward in the game. HP stands for health points, and having more of them can give you an advantage. When you earn 3 HP, it’s like regenerating your strength and resilience. You’ll be better equipped to face challenges and overcome obstacles.

So, remember to keep these elements in mind when you’re playing the game. The Upgrade Link Action Icon, the destination Action Icon, the Rail tiles, and earning HP are all key aspects that can help you succeed. By using them strategically and taking advantage of their benefits, you’ll have a better chance of achieving victory.

Whether you’re new to the game or a seasoned player, understanding these elements is important. They can make a significant difference in your overall strategy and gameplay. So, have fun exploring the possibilities, and may your journey be filled with excitement and success!

If you want to make an existing link better, you’ve got to do two things: Upgrade Link and choose one of the two places that the link connects to. Upgrading a link gives you more money in the game (check out Moving Passengers).

When you upgrade a link, you also get 3 HP. Flip the Rail tiles over to their upgraded side. But here’s the thing: you can’t upgrade a link that’s already been upgraded. And sorry, but you can’t upgrade a link that someone else owns. =:)

      B. Build or Improve a Building

      Build a New Building

If you want to build a new building, here’s what you gotta do:

How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess

      • Start by playing a Construct Building Action Icon
      • Then, play a Parcel Action Icon.
      • Put the designated type of Building tile on the indicated Parcel.
      • Add the corresponding Building card to your hand.
      • Introduce 1 new Passenger to the Building tile.
      • Gain 1 HP.

To create a New Building, you need to play a Build Building Action Icon How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess, and the Parcel Number Action Icon that corresponds to the Parcel Number where you want to build the tile How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess (remember, you can’t construct a new Building on an unclaimed Parcel or an opponent’s Parcel).

So here’s what happens: First, you pick one of the few Building tiles that are left, and you put it on the board to cover the designated Parcel. Then, you grab a Building card that matches the type of building – there’s a Building tile for each Building card, and vice versa – and you keep it in your hand to use later. Oh, and don’t forget to add a brand-new Passenger to the new tile!

Now, you might wonder, what if I already have too many cards in my hand? Well, that’s not a problem right now. You can go beyond your hand limit this time. And as a reward for your building skills, you get 1 HP. Another cool thing is that you can even build a Building on your own Parcel tile, even if it already has a Rail tile on it.

Here’s something interesting: Some Buildings on the board take up more than one space. And if two players decide to build the same type of Building tile right next to each other, they actually create a bigger, single Building. It’s pretty cool to see several players contributing to one big structure!

Note: When different types of Building tiles are adjacent, they don’t combine to form a single Building. Also, adjacent Parcels are not considered connected. However, when Buildings of the same type are adjacent to each other, they always merge, even if one of them is upgraded.

When you build an Industry, you get a bonus. It makes your hand bigger for the whole game. To show this, you need to replace your Hand Limit Tile on your player board with a new one. Just put it over the old one, or flip the old one if it fits better. You can now hold up to 9 cards in your hand.

How to Upgrade an Existing Building

If you want to upgrade a building, you need to follow these steps:

      • First, play an Upgrade Building action icon. How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess
      • Next, play a Building Type icon How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess that matches the building.
      • Then, flip the Building tile over to its “upgraded” side.
      • If the Building doesn’t have any passengers, you should add one new Passenger to the upgraded building.
      • Finally, you will earn 3 HP.

How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess

When you want to upgrade a building, you need to play the Upgrade Building Action Icon and a Building Type Action Icon that matches the building you want to upgrade. It’s like giving it a boost!

After playing the icons, you flip the Building tile to show the upgraded version. If there isn’t already a Passenger on the tile, you add a new one. Plus, you earn 3 HP, which is a pretty good reward! But remember, you can only upgrade a building once. And you can’t upgrade the buildings that are already printed on the map, or your opponents’ buildings. It’s all about improving your own properties.

Now let’s talk about moving Passengers.

If you want to move a Passenger, you need to follow these steps:

      • First, play a valid Ticket card. Look for the ones with a magnetic strip on the right side, in the lower half. These are the ones you can use.
      • Next, play a valid Destination Action Icon. This shows where the Passenger wants to go.

By following these steps, you’ll be able to move Passengers around the city and earn points. It’s a great way to explore and maximize your opportunities. So go ahead and give it a try!

Just a reminder: A Destination can be either a Parcel or a Building. And with this action, you can move one Passenger only.

Keep in mind: You have the option to use both the magnetic strip and the Destination Action Icon on one card. But be aware, if you do, your Stress level goes up by 1.

How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess

Hey there! Let me break it down for you. All the cards in this game are like tickets, and they can be used to move any passengers on the map. You can tell a card is a ticket because it has a magnetic strip on it.

Now, there are some cards called “Void” cards that can’t be used to move passengers. They don’t have a magnetic strip, and you can only find them in the Auction card deck.

When a passenger is on a big building with multiple spaces, they can leave from any side of the building that has a finished link connected to it.

How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess

When I’m traveling as a Passenger, I need to make sure I stop at the right building along the Rail links. Each building is labeled as either R, C, L, I, or a specific Parcel. It’s important that I don’t visit the same building or Parcel more than once.

Once I reach my first matching destination, even if it’s not the shortest trip, I can remove myself from the board. But before I go, there are a few things to note:

      1. Every time I travel through a link, the owner of that link earns 1 HP, whether it’s upgraded or not. It doesn’t matter who owns the buildings I pass through, not even the one I start at.
      2. When I arrive at my final destination, I, as the delivering player, receive a special bonus.

How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMessCommerce: When playing the Commerce action, I’ll be increasing my Stress level by one. After that, I have a choice to make. I can either immediately take $5 from the bank or select a Development card (D) from one of the Ticket Books and add it to my hand. Just like during setup, it’s fine if this causes me to exceed my hand limit for now. How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMessIndustry: Choosing the Industry action also increases my Stress level by one. As a reward, I’ll get one Rail Worker from the common reserve and place it on my player board. Remember, the limit for Rail Workers on my board is always two. So if I’ve already reached that limit, I won’t be able to take the worker, but I will still have to increase my Stress level (and move the Passenger). How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMessResidence: Welcome to your personal sanctuary where you can find solace and decrease your stress. If your stress level is already at its lowest point, don’t worry, you don’t have to lower it any further. Just make sure to move the passenger to their destination. How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMessLeisure: Take a break and indulge in some joyous moments. You have the option to purchase happiness points using the Small City currency rates. For just $1, you can get 1 happiness point. If you want more, $3 will give you 2 happiness points, and $6 will bring you 3 happiness points, and so on. You can use your cash or Money Action Icons to make these purchases. If you use only Money Action Icons, the bank will gladly provide you with the necessary change in cash. How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMessParcel: When you drop off a passenger at a Parcel space, there are no extra rewards or bonuses to be gained. It’s simply a regular stop on the journey.

For each Rail tile I travel, the Rail tile’s owner earns $1. If the Link belongs to me, I get the money from the bank. If the Link belongs to someone else, I have to pay them. The payments happen in the order that I travel the links, so I can’t use money that I would earn later in the journey to pay someone now. If I can’t afford to use an opponent’s link, I still complete the trip but no more payments happen (I have to pay the maximum amount of cash I have). This can be stressful!

Let me show you how to keep track of this process—just move the Passenger along the links as you go. In Step 1, take the Passenger to each link, one by one. In Step 2, lay the Passenger down in the destination space.

Now, for Step 3, start the Passenger at the beginning again, and move them to each link in the correct order. Finally, return the Passenger to the reserve when you’ve finished the process.

      Hey there!

Just a reminder about a few things:

      • Upgraded Links will earn you 50% more money, and it’s always rounded up.
      • Don’t forget to apply at least 21 Stress rules on your HP track. Keep that in mind!

      Phase 3: Administration

Now let’s talk about what you can do during this phase. You have some Action Icons left from Phases 1 & 2 that you can use (just remember the usual rules about increasing stress for using multiple Action Icons per card). But there’s one important detail – you can only play an Action Icon if you can perform the complete action, so no sneaky discards allowed here.

      Here are the options:

      • How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMessGet Money: You can take the specified amount of money from the bank. Nice!
      • How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMessGet 1 Rail Worker: Hiring a gray worker meeple is a great move. However, remember that you’re only allowed to have a maximum of 2 Rail Workers in front of you.

When you play the How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMessDecrease Stress Card, you’ll notice an immediate effect: your stress decreases by moving one step to the left on your Stress track. However, it’s important to remember that if you’re already on the leftmost space, you won’t be able to play this Icon. This card is a helpful tool for managing your stress levels and finding some relief in the game.

Another card that can come in handy is the How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMessAdd 1 Passenger Card. This card allows you to place 1 Passenger from the reserve on any building of your choice. But keep in mind that each space can only hold 1 Passenger at a time. So, if you’re dealing with a square building, you won’t be able to host more than 1 Passenger. However, rectangular pre-printed buildings can accommodate up to 2 Passengers.

In Phase 3, you have the option to discard cards. You’re allowed to discard one card for free, but if you want to discard additional cards, you’ll need to pay $1 for each one. This can be a strategic move to get rid of unwanted cards or to make room for new ones.

      • Any card you play or discard will go into your personal discard pile.
      • It’s important to note that a card’s Consequence must be applied whether you choose to play or discard it.

Why Consequences Matter in the Game

If you’re new to the game, you might be wondering what all the fuss is about when it comes to consequences. Well, let me tell you, consequences can make or break your strategy. They are like the hidden little surprises that can totally change the course of the game.

So, what exactly are consequences? In the game, consequences are the outcomes or results that happen as a result of the actions you take. They can be good or bad, depending on the choices you make. And let me tell you, these consequences are no joke. They can have a big impact on your game and can even determine whether you win or lose.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. How do I know what the consequences will be? Well, my friend, that’s the beauty of it. You don’t always know what the consequences will be until you take the action. It’s like a mystery waiting to be revealed.

Imagine you’re playing a card game, and you have an option to either draw more cards or skip your turn. Seems like an easy choice, right? But here’s the catch – drawing more cards might give you an advantage, but it could also leave you vulnerable to your opponent’s attack. On the other hand, skipping your turn might seem safe, but it could put you at a disadvantage later on. The consequences of both choices could be game-changing.

So, what’s the key to mastering consequences? It’s all about thinking ahead and weighing the risks and rewards. You have to consider the potential consequences of each action and decide which is the best course of action for you.

Remember, consequences in the game can be tricky. Sometimes they can sneak up on you and catch you off guard. But if you’re smart and strategic, you can use them to your advantage. Embrace the uncertainty and embrace the surprises that come with the consequences. It’s all part of the fun and thrill of the game.

So, next time you sit down to play, don’t forget about the power of consequences. They might just be the secret ingredient to your success. Happy gaming!

Stress and unhappiness go hand in hand: When the round is over and you find yourself with 21 points on your Stress track, you will lose 1 HP.

How to play Tramways Official Rules UltraFoodMess

Welcome, new passengers! I’m happy to inform you that we have added 1 new passenger to each empty space of every building that matches the Building Type tile beside the current Round space on the Tramways Schedule board. As a result, the Building Type tile has been removed from the game. Additionally, the Round marker has been moved to the next space on the Round track. Exciting times ahead!

Now, let’s talk about the next phase of the game. When the Auction deck becomes empty, marking the end of 5 rounds, we enter a new phase. But don’t worry, we still have one more round to play!

      • In this final round, Phase 1 will not have any cards available. This means that the Auction Phase will only determine the turn order. Remember, the winner of this last auction will experience an increase in their Stress by 2 instead of the usual 1. It’s a higher stakes situation!

In Round 6, things are a bit different. First, lay out all the cards from your deck, but don’t discard the cards you kept in your hand from Round 5. Keep those cards, you’re stuck with them. Now, fill your hand with any cards you want from the ones you laid out on the table. Finally, put all the remaining cards from the table back in the game box.

The rest of Round 6 follows the same rules as Rounds 1-5, except that you don’t have an End of Round Phase. After the Administration Phase, the game is over.

Now, let’s talk about the end of the game. Your final score is calculated based on three things. First, the Happiness Points (HP) you accumulated during the game. Second, you get 3 HP for each complete link you have, regardless of whether it’s upgraded. Incomplete links don’t count. And finally, you get 1 HP for every $10 you have left at the end of the game. So make sure to manage your money wisely!

Now, let’s talk about the mechanics of the game. Each turn, you’ll have a set of choices to make. You can choose to draw cards from the stress deck, which increases your stress level and exposes you to more danger. Or, you can play cards from your hand strategically, trying to lower your stress level and gain an advantage over your opponents.

As you navigate through the game, it’s important to consider your options carefully. Each move you make can have consequences – both positive and negative. It’s a double-edged sword that requires you to think ahead and act accordingly.
