Great news: You just need a cool pencil and rad sheet of paper for each player.
Let’s Have Some Serious Fun
Be the coolest player to snag one peg from each of the six awesome stages of life on your comfy couch and then blaze past that Finish space, and you’ll be a total superstar!
Time to Get Everything Set Up
Split up the cards into eight separate decks and plonk them, all face down, on the groovy spaces marked on the board. Each player grabs a comfy couch and puts it in their very own color-coordinated Therapy office.
Chuck the pegs over to the side of the board. Each player chucks the dice; the player with the highest rolls goes first and from there the game just keeps going in a totally rad clockwise direction.

Let’s Play the Game
When it’s my turn, I roll the dice to see how many spaces I can move around the gameboard. Then, I have to follow the instructions for the space I land on. It’s exciting to see where I’ll end up!
Even the therapy offices are part of the game. They’re just like any other space, and it’s okay if there’s more than one couch in the same place. It can get pretty cozy in there!

Explore the Therapeutic Journey
When you stumble upon another player’s Therapy office, brace yourself! In this game of emotional exploration, you are about to become the patient, and the player becomes your trusted therapist. They will draw a card from the Therapy deck and reveal its contents. It’s time for you to dig deep and share your thoughts honestly, while the therapist jots down what they believe your response will be.
Important Reminders:
- For questions with rating scales, remember that a score of 1 is very low, and 10 is extremely high. A margin of error of 1 point in either direction is considered a match.
- In questions that ask “Which player,” remember that both you (the patient) and the therapist can be valid options.
If your responses align perfectly, congratulations! Your therapist has successfully cured you. As a reward, they can place one of their colored pegs on their couch. You then roll the dice and take an extra turn.
If your answers don’t quite match, not to worry. You’ll remain in the therapy office until your next turn comes around. Same therapist, same questions. You must keep going until you’re finally cured.

When it’s your turn again, roll a die and move out of Psychosis using the arrow that matches the number you rolled. Right away, go to Therapy in the office that the arrow points to.
Look at the Inkblots

So, here’s the deal: When you land on a Thinkblot space, the player on your left grabs the top Thinkblot card. Depending on whether your Thinkblot space has an “A” or “B” on it, the other player will ask you an “A” or “B” question. Easy enough, right?
Now, here comes the tricky part. At the same time, they’ll show you the corresponding Thinkblot in the Thinkblot booklet, either the “A” or “B” side facing up. Then, you’ve got to choose one of the answers they give you. Got it?
If you answer right, congratulations! Pick any color peg as your reward. But if you answer wrong, oh boy, get ready for Psychosis. You’ll lose one of your precious pegs of any color. And on your next turn, pay close attention to the directions for Psychosis (I’ll explain that later).
Phew, that was intense! Now, let’s talk about the end of this game. As soon as you collect all 6 pegs, you must make your way to the Finish space, or pass it, to win. It’s the ultimate goal, the moment of victory.
But here’s the deal breaker: once you have all 6 pegs, you’re a pro. You no longer need Therapy. Yep, you read that right. Free from the doctor’s chair, you can focus on crossing that finish line.
