Let’s Get Started
To play The Price is Right, just like on TV, you’ll need a group of six players.
Keep in mind: If you’re playing alone, don’t worry! You can still have fun and aim for a personal high score without the Showcase.
Here’s how you set up the game:
First, make sure each of the six players gets a Bid Board. Then, give the Bid Board Markers to the first four players who will become Contestant’s Row.
Pro tip: If you’re wondering how to choose the four players for Contestant’s Row, it’s simple. Just draw cards and let the four players with the highest card values take the first four spots.
Preparing Your DVD
When you have the game DVD, simply insert it into the player. After a quick introduction and a message from the host, Drew Carey, you’ll see the Main Menu. Now, it’s important to note that only one player will be in charge of operating the remote when navigating the Main Menu and Contestant’s Row screens. However, when it comes to the Pricing Games, the player in turn will handle the remote.
To move around the menus, products, and prices, all you need to do is use the arrow keys on your remote. Want to make a selection? Just press the center, play, or enter button to activate your choice.
Once you’re ready to start the game, go ahead and select “start game” from the Main Menu. After that, choose the number of contestants you’ll be playing with, and the exciting game of The Price is Right will begin with the first item up for bidding on the Contestant’s Row.
