Sorry Revenge Game Rules
Let’s take a journey into the world of the Sorry Revenge game and dive into its intriguing rules!
The Objective
The objective of the Sorry Revenge game is simple: to be the first player to move all four of your pawns from your start area to your home area. But be careful! The game is filled with surprises and unexpected twists.
Get Ready to Move
To get started, each player takes turns drawing cards from the deck. The numbers on the cards determine how many spaces you can move your pawns. It’s now time for strategy and a little bit of luck!
If a player draws a Sorry card, they can do something special – they get to teleport one of their pawns to an opponent’s pawn and send that opponent’s pawn back to its own start area. It’s a sweet way to get your revenge and potentially change the course of the game!
Blockades and Slides
Watch out for blockades! If another player’s pawn is on a space in front of you, you can’t move past them. You’ll have to wait for your chance to get around them or draw a Sorry card to send them back to their start area.
But not all is lost! There are slides on the board that can help you bypass blockades and move forward faster. When you land on a slide, you zoom ahead to the last space of that slide. It’s a thrilling way to speed up your journey to victory!
Home Stretch
Once you’ve moved all four of your pawns into your home area, it’s time to celebrate because you’re one step closer to winning. But, remember, you have to move your pawns exactly enough to land in your home area. If you go past it, you’ll have to move your pawns back.
Capturing Pawns
What if you want to block an opponent’s pawn from going home? Simple! Just land on a space occupied by their pawn. When you do this, their pawn is captured and sent back to their start area. It’s a sneaky tactic to slow them down and gain an advantage.
Keep Your Cool
As you can see, the Sorry Revenge game is packed with action, suspense, and opportunities for revenge. So, get ready to plot your moves, change the course of the game with a Sorry card, and have a blast as you journey towards victory. Remember, in this game, revenge is sweet!

- You get 16 pawn cards
- There are 59 number cards
- You also have 26 action cards
- There are 8 SORRY! cards
- Don’t forget the reminder card
- Instructions are included
The Goal of the Game
Your aim is to be the first player to turn over all of your pawn cards to HOME.
Setting Up
Hey there! Let’s get started with the game instructions. First things first, grab all four pawn cards of the same color and place them in front of you, showing the START side. Any extra pawn cards can be set aside for now.
Now, let’s shuffle the remaining cards and deal five cards to each player, facedown. You can take a peek at your own cards, but remember to keep them a secret!
Next, take the remaining cards and place them facedown in a neat pile in the center of the table. This will be our draw pile. During the game, we’ll also create a faceup play pile right next to it.
Game Play
- First, we need to decide who will go first. Once that’s settled, the starting player will take a card from their hand and play it faceup onto the play pile. Make sure to announce the card you’re playing out loud. Remember, you must play a card during your turn.
- After playing a card, draw enough cards from the draw pile to bring your hand back up to five cards. Just a quick reminder, at the end of your turn, you should never have more than seven cards in your hand.
- Let’s take turns playing a card. Look on the next page to find out what each action card does. Here’s what happens when you play a number or slide card that makes the play pile add up in different ways:
- If the total is exactly 21, you win the round! Flip one of your pawn cards over so the side that says “HOME” is face-up. Unless someone plays a SORRY! card on you to steal your win, that is.
- If the total goes over 21, you bust! The round is over. Everyone besides you needs to flip one of their pawn cards to the side that says “HOME”.
- Now, move the play pile aside, but hang on to your hand! The next player will start the next round.
- If there are no more cards left in the draw pile, mix the discarded play piles together to create a new draw pile.
Which card did you play?
Here’s what you should do:
The first number card on the play pile
Another number card
An action card
Four different types of cards you might find in a game of Sorry!
Let’s talk about the different cards you can come across while playing Sorry!. We have:
Your Options:
The Number Card
First, we have the number card. This card allows you to move your pawn forward a certain number of spaces. The number shown on the card is how many spaces you have to move. Easy peasy!
The Slide Card
Next up, we have the slide card. This one can be a little tricky. It lets you slide your pawn to a matching colored slide space. It’s like getting a free ride! Who doesn’t love that?
The SORRY! Card
Now, let’s talk about the SORRY! card. This card lets you do something pretty cool. If you have a pawn on the start space and draw a SORRY! card, you can swap places with an opponent’s pawn on the board, sending them back to start. Talk about a sweet revenge!
The Don’t be SORRY! Card
Last but not least, we have the Don’t be SORRY! card. This card is your best friend if you’re in a tight spot. It allows you to protect one of your pawns from being sent back to start by another player’s SORRY! card. It’s like having a shield!
So, those are the cards you’ll encounter while playing Sorry!. Each card brings its own special twist to the game. Make sure to pay attention to what each card does, and use them strategically to give yourself the best shot at winning!

Hey there! Let’s talk about these cards – they’re like your pawns in the game. You start off by showing the START side. Now, here’s the fun part: when you manage to get the play pile to 21, you can flip a pawn card over to the HOME side. How cool is that?
Number Cards
Action Cards

When I play the game, yellow action cards become really handy! They have special abilities that can give me an advantage during my turn. It’s like having a secret weapon to help me out! Just make sure to keep track of the yellow cards you have because they can really come in handy when you need them the most.
One of the great things about yellow action cards is that they can be used at any time. This means that I can save them for that critical moment when I need an extra boost or when I want to surprise my opponents. It’s always exciting to have a yellow action card up my sleeve!
Another cool thing about yellow action cards is that they can change the course of the game. They can allow me to take extra turns, gain more resources, or even block my opponents from making certain moves. It’s amazing how much power can be packed into a small card!
But here’s the thing – yellow action cards can be a double-edged sword. While they can elevate my chances of winning, they can also be used against me. So, it’s important to think carefully before playing a yellow card. I have to consider the potential consequences and weigh the risks and rewards.
Slide

Hey there! Let me show you how to play this fun game.
Take 2
Here’s how it works: you have a pile of cards, and each card has a number on it. Your goal is to slide the total of the cards up or down to match the number displayed on the card you’re currently playing. It’s like a puzzle!

When I play this game, I get to take 2 cards from the pile and add them to my hand. But I can only do this if my hand wouldn’t have more than 7 cards. It’s like getting an unexpected gift, but I have to make sure I don’t have too many already! It keeps things interesting because I never know what cards I’ll get or how they’ll help me win.
The Swap

Let’s switch up the order of play for a fun twist!
Play 2
Sorry! Cards
Did you know there are special action cards in SORRY! that can really change the game? Here are the two types:
I get to play this card on my turn. I choose another player and send one of their pawn cards back to the start! But they can prevent that with a Don’t Be SORRY! card.
This card is so sneaky! I can play it anytime another player’s card makes the total count reach 21. I simply say ‘SORRY!’ and flip one of my pawn cards to HOME instead of theirs. But again, they can stop me with a Don’t be SORRY! card.

Hey there! Want to know a fun card game to play? Well, I’ve got just the thing for you. Let me tell you about it.
First, let’s talk about the cards called “SORRY!” cards. These can be a real pain if they’re played on you. However, I have a solution. Play some special cards that block the “SORRY!” cards. That way, you’re saved! No one can play a “SORRY!” or “Don’t be SORRY!” card onto your special card. Pretty cool, right?
Now, I need to mention an important rule. Whenever you play a “SORRY!” or “Don’t be SORRY!” card, make sure to draw a new card. That helps keep your hand full with a total of 5 cards. And don’t forget, when you play a “SORRY!” or “Don’t be SORRY!” card, the old play pile gets discarded and a new one starts. Fresh beginnings, you know?
End of the Game
So, how do you win? Well, it’s simple. Keep playing until someone flips their fourth pawn card to HOME. Once they do that, they win the game! Exciting stuff, I tell you.
But wait, what if more than one player flips their fourth pawn card to HOME at the same time? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. In that case, the tied players face a tiebreaker. Gotta break that tie, right?
Now, here’s another game I want to tell you about. It’s a bit different, but just as fun. In this game, you have a pile of cards in front of you, and your goal is to get as close as possible to 21 without going overboard. The player who gets closest to 21 is the winner. Exciting, isn’t it?
