Unlock the Rules for the Passion Game in Sagrada: The Great Facades!

Hey there! Are you ready to dive into the exciting world of Sagrada: The Great Facades – Passion? Fantastic! In this quick guide, I’ll walk you through the game rules, so you can start playing and unleashing your creative genius.

First things first, let’s talk about the objective of the game. The goal here is to create a beautiful stained glass window using colorful dice. You’ll score points by placing the dice strategically and completing specific objectives. Sounds intriguing, right?

Now, let’s get down to the nitty-gritty. At the start of the game, each player will receive a window pattern card and a set of dice. The dice have different colors and numbers on them, which will come into play as you progress.

On your turn, you’ll be able to take one of three actions: draft a die, place a die, or choose a tool card. These actions will allow you to carefully select and position the dice on your window pattern card, following the placement rules.

But here’s the twist – you must be strategic and plan ahead, because once you place a die on your window pattern card, you cannot change its position. And remember, each window pattern card has specific placement rules, so make sure you pay attention to them!

As you progress through the game, you’ll have the option to use tool cards. These cards provide special abilities that can help you bend the rules, giving you some extra flexibility and enabling you to score more points. Keep an eye out for these invaluable tools!

Now, let’s talk about scoring. As you complete different objectives and fill up your window pattern card, you’ll earn points. The game includes special goals, public and private objectives, and even the grandeur glass panel, all of which give you more ways to score points and showcase your creative brilliance.

Oh, and don’t forget the Sagrada Basilica! This magnificent building is a key component of the game. The players will contribute to its construction by adding glass panels, creating a collaborative masterpiece that will add to the overall score.

So, there you have it! The rules of Sagrada: The Great Facades – Passion. Now it’s time to pick up those dice and let your creativity shine. Enjoy the journey, and may your stained glass window become a true masterpiece!

Discover the Inspiration Module

Hey there! Let me introduce you to something pretty cool called the Inspiration Cards. They’re like little superpowers that make the game even more exciting.

Getting Started

So, before you pick your Window Pattern Card, let me fill you in on how Inspiration Cards work:

  1. Let’s mix all the Inspiration Cards together.
  2. I’ll give each of you 1 Inspiration Card.
  3. Now, show your Inspiration Card to everyone and put it face-up next to your player board.

Inspiring Abilities

  • Feel free to use Inspiration Abilities anytime during your turn. No need to wait!
  • Keep in mind that some Inspiration Cards can only be used once per round or once per game. After you use an Inspiration Ability, flip the card over to show it’s been used. When the next round begins, turn any “once per round” Inspiration Cards face-up again.

The Uncommon Stained Glass Module

This module adds a twist with special dice that represent rare types of stained glass. You can place them next to any color die in your window.

The Uncommon Glass Boards give you the chance to acquire and place Uncommon Glass Dice in your window. These dice work with new Private Objectives that score in unique ways.

Game Setup

Before you choose Tool Cards:

  1. First, choose one Rare Glass Board randomly. Put it face-up in the center of the play area.
  2. Next, roll one Rare Glass Die for every slot on the Rare Glass Board. Put each die in a slot.
  3. Instead of revealing three Tool Cards, only show two.

Your Turn as a Player

  • Hey there! Did you know that in this game, you have the option to pay Favor Tokens to use a Rare Glass Board? When you do this, you can take a Rare Glass Die and place it in your window. Cool, huh? And the best part is that you can do this at any time during your turn, so you have a lot of flexibility.
  • Now, there’s a catch. You can only have one Rare Glass Die in your window at a time. So, if you already have one there, you can’t use a Rare Glass Board. Makes sense, right?
  • Here’s an interesting twist. If, during the round, there are no Rare Glass Dice left on the Rare Glass Board, no worries! Just roll a new one for each space on the board and place them in the slots. It’s like a fresh start.

Unique Glass Dice

These exclusive glass dice possess some special features that set them apart from regular dice:

  • Unlike standard dice, these glass dice do not have a specific color, allowing them to ignore color restrictions. However, they still need to adhere to shade restrictions.
  • When placing a rare glass die on a Window Pattern Card, it can be placed on any color without restriction, as long as it complies with the shade restrictions.
  • Occupying a space with a rare glass die means that the space is not empty and will contribute to completing rows, columns, or diagonals as required.
  • Rare glass dice contribute to the overall variety of colors in a row or column. For instance, if a completed row includes a rare glass die and four other dice of distinct colors, it will be recognized as having no repeated colors when scoring the Row Color Variety.

Rare Glass Personal Goals

Want to earn some extra points in your game of Rare Glass? Look no further! These personal goals are here to guide you and boost your score. Keep in mind, these goals only come into play when using the Rare Glass module.

Setting Up as a Player

  1. To start, I shuffle all of the Rare Glass Private Objectives, which have a Rare Glass Die symbol on the back. These special objectives are used instead of any other Private Objective.
  2. Next, I give one Rare Glass Private Objective to each player, face-down. We can secretly look at our own objectives.
  3. Finally, these objectives are scored as normal at the end of the game.

Symmetry Public Objectives

These objectives can be mixed in with other Public Objectives when we randomize the game setup.

Scoring for these objectives works similarly to the base game private objectives.

My Recommendation:

Some of these new objectives score based on conditions that conflict with objectives from the base game. So, I suggest avoiding combinations like Vertical Color Balance and Column Color Variety or Horizontal Shade Symmetry and Row Shade Variety, etc.
