Rollers Game Rules
Rollers is a fun and exciting game that can be played by anyone. The rules are simple, but understanding them is important if you want to play the game well. Allow me to explain how to play and what you need to know.
Equipment:
To play Rollers, you will need the following equipment:
– A set of Rollers dice
– A Rollers game board
– A set of Rollers game cards
Goal:
The goal of Rollers is to score points by rolling the dice and matching the numbers on the dice to the numbers on the game board. Each number on the game board corresponds to a specific action or challenge. You will receive points for completing these actions or challenges.
Gameplay:
To start the game, each player receives a set of game cards. These cards have different actions or challenges written on them. On your turn, you will roll the dice and then choose a game card to play based on the numbers rolled.
Each number on the dice corresponds to a specific action or challenge. For example, if you roll a 3 and a 5, you will look for the corresponding numbers on the game board. You will then choose a game card that matches one of these numbers and follow the instructions on the card.
The actions or challenges on the game cards can be anything from answering a trivia question to performing a physical task. The difficulty and point value of each challenge will vary, so choose your game cards wisely.
Scoring:
Scoring in Rollers is based on the points you earn from completing actions or challenges. Each game card is assigned a point value, which is awarded to the player who successfully completes the challenge. The player with the most points at the end of the game is the winner.
Conclusion:
Now that you understand the rules of Rollers, you are ready to start playing. Remember to have fun and be strategic in choosing your game cards. Good luck and enjoy the game!

What’s Inside the Game
When you open the box, you’ll find these components:
- 5 Game Boards
- 75 Game Board Markers
- 75 Chips
- 6 Custom Dice
- Rulebook
Let’s Play!
The objective of the game is to fill in your Game Board by rolling specific numbers and gather chips from other players to earn points. The first player to reach 5 points across multiple rounds wins the game!
Getting Ready
Before we start, each player needs to gather their own supplies:
– 1 Game Board
– 15 board Markers of the same color
– 10 purple chips, each worth 5 points
– 5 white chips, each worth 1 point
Set your markers aside for now; we’ll place them on the board later.
Time to Play!
Let’s dive into the game! To determine the first player, each player rolls one of the dice. The player with the highest result goes first, and the game continues clockwise from there. Each player’s turn is split into two phases: Rolling the Dice and Applying the Roll.
Roll the dice and collect matching numbers to fill in your Game Board. You’ll need one 1, two 2’s, three 3’s, four 4’s, and five 5’s.

1. Go Ahead and Roll the Dice!
Hey there! It’s your turn now, so let’s roll those dice and see what numbers we get. You can roll up to three times in order to try and get matching sets of numbers. On your very first roll, make sure to roll all six dice. Then, after each roll, you get to choose which dice you want to keep and which ones you want to roll again.
Remember, you don’t have to make all three rolls if you’re already happy with the numbers you have. Once you’re satisfied with your dice selection, you can stop rolling. However, if you want to go for it, you do have the option to roll all three times. But keep in mind, after that third roll, your dice are set and you can’t change them anymore. Ready to move on to the next step? Let’s go!
Let’s Talk About Some Special Dice Faces.
STARS are like the rebel kids of the dice world. They’re the cool ones that replace the boring 6 on the purple dice. We keep them separate because they’re special and can be whatever value we want during the Roll phase. So, don’t worry about it for now – you can decide what value you want your STAR to have when it’s time to use your dice.

Watch out! A ZAP cancels any roll! That means if you roll a 6 on the black die, it gets replaced by a ZAP. Any dice rolled at the same time as a ZAP cannot be saved, but any dice that you set aside from previous rolls are not affected by the ZAP.
Even if you roll a ZAP, it still counts as one of your three chances to roll dice for your turn. But if you roll a ZAP on your third roll, you can only use the dice that you had saved from previous rolls.
2. Time to use your dice!
After you finish rolling your dice, it’s time to decide how you want to use them. You have two options: you can either fill in your Game Board or collect chips from other players.
Filling in your Game Board happens in two steps. First, you place a marker in the middle section of your board to OPEN it. Then, you place a marker in the bottom section to CLOSE it. Once a section is closed, you can start collecting chips. Here’s how it works:
Opening
Hey there! Let’s get started by opening a section. Check the numbers on your Game Board and grab the dice that match those numbers: one 1, two 2’s, three 3’s, four 4’s, and five 5’s.
Once you have the right dice, place a Marker of the same size in the corresponding section of your Game Board. This shows that you’ve met the requirements and that the section is now OPEN.
When it’s time for me to roll the dice on my first turn, I quickly find out whether I’ve won or lost. It can be an exhilarating moment, full of anticipation and excitement. I feel the rush of adrenaline as I watch the dice spin and bounce across the table. Will I get the number I need, or will luck be against me?
The outcome of that first roll is crucial. It sets the tone for the rest of the game and determines my strategy going forward. If the dice fall in my favor, I can take risks and aim for big rewards. But if luck is not on my side, I have to play it safe and make careful decisions.
The dice are a fascinating tool for decision-making. They introduce an element of chance and unpredictability into the game, making it more thrilling and dynamic. It’s like having a partner who has a mind of their own – I can analyze, strategize, and calculate all I want, but in the end, I’m at the mercy of the dice.
What’s fantastic is that no two rolls are ever the same. Each throw of the dice is a unique event, influenced by countless tiny factors – the way I hold the dice, the force of my throw, the texture of the table. It’s a truly random outcome, and even the most experienced player can never fully understand or control it.
But that’s what makes the game so captivating. In a world where we often seek control and certainty, the dice remind us of the beautiful chaos that exists in life. They teach us to embrace the unexpected and find joy in the unpredictable. Whether I win or lose, I know that the dice have added a spark of excitement to my day, and that alone makes it worthwhile.
So, here’s what you do: time to open up your 1s and 3s sections. Use the 1 and the two 3s with the STAR (which counts as a 3) from your six dice.
Put those matching markers on the 1s and 3s middle sections of your Game Board. This shows that you’ve OPENED those sections.
Because you didn’t roll enough 4s or 5s, you can’t use those dice this time.
The Next Step
Once a section is OPENED, you gotta CLOSE it. To do this, just use one die with the matching set number and place a Marker in the lower section of your Game Board.
Boom! That section is now CLOSED. You can OPEN and CLOSE a number section all in one turn.
Example: When it’s your turn again, you will be saved.
Rewrite: Once it’s your turn again, you can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that you are saved.
When you complete your turn, make sure to close the sections with the numbers you rolled in the previous turn. If you rolled a 1 and a 3, use those numbers to close your Is and 3s sections, respectively. However, remember that you cannot use a single 4 to close any section.
The Art of Collecting
After closing a section, you can collect chips from other players who haven’t closed that section yet. To do this, you need to roll dice that match the value of the closed section. Each dice is worth the number of chips equal to its face value.
Let’s say you have already opened and closed your 3s section. Now, when you roll a 3 (or use a STAR as a 3), you can collect three chips from any player who hasn’t closed their 3s section yet.
Here’s the deal: When it’s your turn for the third time, congratulations, you’ve made it!
But let’s take a moment to reflect on the journey. Making it to the third turn isn’t an easy task. It requires effort, perseverance, and a whole lot of grit. And it’s even more rewarding when you consider the challenges you’ve faced along the way.
It’s important to remember that each turn is like a new opportunity. You have the chance to start fresh, to learn from your previous mistakes and apply that knowledge to your future actions. Each turn is a chance to take control, to make decisions that will shape your path.
So, when you reach that third turn, take a step back and appreciate how far you’ve come. Remember the times when you questioned if you would ever make it this far. And now look at you, standing tall, on the brink of something great.
With this achievement in mind, you can take on anything that comes your way. You have proven to yourself and the world that you have what it takes to overcome obstacles and reach your goals.
So, my friend, here’s to your third turn. Celebrate it, embrace it, and let it fuel your determination to keep moving forward. You’ve come this far, and there’s no stopping you now.
When I closed my 3s on my last turn, I did something interesting – I used the 3 to collect 3 chips from all the other players who hadn’t closed their 3s yet.
Now here’s where it gets even more exciting. I could either choose to use the three 4s and the STAR to open my 4s section, or I could be a bit bold and count the STAR as another 3. By doing that, I would collect even more chips from the other players, and I wouldn’t have to worry about the 4s and 5 at all.
You know what’s great? You don’t need to fill all the sections before you start collecting chips. You can actually fill sections and collect chips in the same turn. That’s a pretty neat trick, don’t you think? Oh, and by the way, if a player loses all their chips, they’re not out of the game. They just can’t collect any more chips from the other players.
Just something to keep in mind: If a player doesn’t have any chips and they’re the first ones to complete their game board, they only get 1 point instead of 2. But don’t worry, the player with the most chips still gets 1 point.
Alright, let’s talk about what happens after you roll the dice and apply the roll during your turn. Once you’re done, simply pass the dice to the next player in a clockwise direction. Then it’s their turn to have some fun!
End of the Round
The game continues until one of the players closes all the sections on their Game Board. When this happens, the round comes to an end, and it’s time to tally up points. There are three ways to earn points each round:
- If you complete all the sections on your Game Board, you score 2 points.
- If you have the highest total value of chips, you score 1 point.
Keep track of your points by using the circle markers at the top of your Game Board. It’s even possible to score all three points in a round if you both complete your Game Board and have the most chips!
It’s time to start a new round of the game. Take the points you scored in the top row of your card and remove the OPEN and CLOSE markers from each Game Board.
Now, let’s redistribute the chips. Each player will receive 10 purple chips and 5 white chips.
Okay, everyone, it’s time to open and close your sections and collect chips again. The starting player for this round is the person to the right (counter clockwise) of the player who went first in the previous round.
And the Winner is…
The first player to score 5 points is the winner! But wait, if more than one player reaches 5 points at the same time, the player with the higher total value of chips will be declared the ultimate winner!
