Additionally, by doing this, you are putting pressure on the other player to eliminate one of your bombs. If you succeed in eliminating both of their miners, it guarantees at least a draw for you.

When it comes to playing Stratego, one of the key strategies is to protect your units effectively. As a player, I always make sure to safeguard my incoming units from the center and left side. By doing so, I create a solid defense that is difficult for my opponent to break through.

Another important aspect to consider is the movement of my marshal and miner. While the marshal can be a powerful asset in offensive moves, I also use it to shield my miner. This defends both my strategic position and the potential loss of valuable units.

I particularly like to keep one of my miners at the home base initially, using it as a defensive measure. This helps me counter any aggressive moves from my opponent and provides an extra layer of protection to my overall strategy.

2. When facing skilled opponents, I always employ a little trickery. I play a mind game called a “bluff.” To do this, I’ll use my spy or scouts. How do I know if it’s working? Well, I pay attention to my opponent’s reaction. If they retreat when my attacking units approach, it’s a sign that they’re falling for the bluff. And I take it a step further by never letting them suspect the true identities of my pieces. Even if they discover my Marshal, I make a scout (or miner) move like a spy normally would. And here’s the twist: I always make sure my “fake” spy tags along with my General. While they’re busy trying to take out this decoy, I leave my “real” spy unprotected. Most of the time, their Marshal won’t think twice about attacking my “real” spy.
3. Here’s a tip: I never use my scouts solely for scouting purposes. In the Quick arena, every piece is valuable. So, I make full use of my scouts by deploying them to eliminate my opponent’s spy and scouts. It’s a smart move that gives me an edge in the game.
