Get Ready to Embark on an Adventure!
Your expedition to the Isle of the Penguins awaits you. Prepare to venture into the unknown and gather as many treasures as you can in just 15 minutes. The player who collects the most Treasure cards will be crowned champion.
Setting Up the Game
Each player will start with 7 Life Point cards. Place them in a row in front of you, with the heart side facing up.
The Adventure cards need to be shuffled. Distribute them fairly among all players, turning them face-down. It’s alright if some players end up with one extra card.
So here’s what you do: Take your Adventure cards and put them face-down in a deck in front of you. But don’t peek at them just yet! Then, grab the pistol and darts and place them on the table where everyone can reach them easily.
Next, you’ll want to set up the targets and bases. Stand the Space Penguin and Bear targets, along with the Suspension Bridge bases and Pirate Ship base, in different spots around 6 to 10 feet away from where you’re playing. Make sure they’re visible to everyone.
Oh, and a quick note: It’s a good idea to put some weights in the bases and targets, or maybe even tape them down, so they don’t go flying all over the place.
Finally, pop the CD into a CD player or get the MP3 file ready. Just hold off on starting the music (it’s track 2 on the CD) until everyone’s ready to jump into the game.
The Music
Hey there! Let’s talk about the music in Pingo Pingo. It’s super important because it controls how long the game lasts and helps us know what to do. You see, the music has two different moods: Day and Night. Pretty cool, huh?
Now, here’s something interesting. Depending on whether it’s Day or Night music playing, we can do different actions. There are some actions that we can only do when it’s Day music, and others that are only available when it’s Night music. It adds some spice to the game!
Wait, there’s more! Every 30 seconds or so, we’ll hear a loud cry that goes like “Pingo Pingo!” This cry is important because it triggers specific actions in the game. Exciting, right?
When you get the game, you’ll also find a CD included. On that CD, you can find two soundtracks. They’re really easy to download from the IELLO website. Track 1 on the CD is super helpful because it explains the rules and tells us what different sounds mean. It goes like this: first, we hear a cry, then the Day music plays, followed by another cry, then Night music comes on, and finally, there’s a last cry. This way, we always know what to expect and can play the game like pros!
The second track on the game soundtrack is called Track 2. It lasts for 15 minutes and is played while you’re playing the game. The track begins with the sound of oars rowing in a boat on the sea. As soon as the music for the day begins, the game also starts. When the music ends and you hear the sound of oars again, that means the game is over.
Playing the Game
Get ready to play as soon as you hear Track 2 of the CD. The moment the sound of oars and footsteps fades, the game begins!
We’ll start with the oldest player and take turns revealing cards from our decks. On your turn, flip over the top card from your deck and place it face-up in the middle of the table. This card triggers an action. Once that action is resolved, the next player to your left reveals a card, and so on.
Try to reveal your cards quickly, without any pauses between turns.
The game comes to an end when the music stops and you hear the sound of oars once again.
How to Reveal Your Cards?
Flip your card over towards the center of the table, making sure it’s visible to all players at the same time. Do it swiftly, so nobody has a chance to get ahead!
The Cards

Adventure cards come in three types, each with its own special properties. The first type is treasure cards, which are easily recognizable by their white border. When you reveal a treasure card, you need to take a specific action. These cards can be quite valuable and can help you on your journey.
Camp Cards
The second type of adventure cards is camp cards. Just like treasure cards, camp cards also have a white border. When you reveal a camp card, you’ll need to do something specific. These cards often provide you with a place to rest and recuperate during your adventure.
Event Cards
The third type of adventure cards is event cards. These cards have an orange border, making them stand out from the rest. When you reveal an event card, it triggers a certain action or event in the game. These cards can introduce unexpected twists and turns, so be prepared for anything!
Remember, each type of adventure card has its own unique purpose and function. By understanding how each card works, you’ll be better equipped to navigate the challenges and surprises that come your way. Good luck on your adventure!

A Treasure card is like finding a treasure on the island. They’re the reason we’re here! The person with the most Treasure cards when the game is over wins!
But be careful! Some Treasure cards are trapped and can make you lose Life Points. If your Life Points run out, you lose.
When a Treasure card is revealed, we need to check if we can get to it.
A Treasure is accessible if the time of day on the card matches the music playing (day during Day music, or night during Night music) and there’s no trap on the card.
If the Treasure is accessible (the right time of day and no trap), you need to be the first to touch the card with your finger. Whoever touches it first gets the Treasure card and puts it face-up in front of themselves to make a pile of Treasures.
If you can’t get to the Treasure because it’s the wrong time of day or it’s trapped, don’t tap the card. If you do, keep the card in the middle and lose 1 Life Point (turn one of your Life Point cards from the Heart side to the Skull side).

Note: If you don’t tap a card that’s hard to get to, I’ll make the next player show a card pretty quickly. Can’t forget about that card, though! When the music changes, it might get easier to reach!
I remember when I first discovered camp cards. They were unlike anything I had ever seen before. Just one look and I was hooked. The vibrant colors and intricate designs drew me in like a magnet. And the best part? They were customizable. You could choose from a variety of fonts and layouts, making each card a unique masterpiece.
But camp cards are more than just a pretty face. They can be a powerful tool for connecting with people. Whether you want to express your gratitude, share a heartfelt sentiment, or simply brighten someone’s day, camp cards have got you covered. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but a camp card can say so much more.
When I send a camp card, I feel like I’m sending a piece of myself. It’s a way to bridge the distance between me and my loved ones. And the best part? It’s not just about the final product. It’s about the journey. The process of choosing the perfect design, personalizing the message, and eagerly anticipating the recipient’s reaction. It’s a labor of love, and it’s worth every second.
So, if you’re looking for a way to elevate your card-giving game, look no further than camp cards. They are the perfect blend of style and substance. And if you like expressing yourself through art and personalization, then you’ll love camp cards. With these little gems, you can make every occasion a little bit more special. So go ahead, give it a try. I promise, you won’t be disappointed.

Have you ever heard of camp cards? They’re pretty cool! Camp cards are like treasure stashes that belong to other players. If you come across a camp card, you have the chance to steal some treasure from other players. Sounds exciting, right?
So, here’s the deal with camp cards: just like treasure cards, you can only tap them if they’re accessible (meaning it’s the right time of day and they’re not trapped). But be careful, if you try to tap an inaccessible camp card, you’ll lose 1 Life Point. Ouch!
Now, let’s talk about the reward! If you’re the first one to tap an accessible camp card, you get to steal up to 2 treasure cards from other players. How awesome is that? You can choose to steal one card from two different players or take two cards from the same player. It’s all up to you!
Oh, and don’t forget to put those stolen treasure cards in your treasure pile. You’ll need to keep them face-up in front of you. But here’s the thing, if there aren’t enough treasure cards to steal, you can only take as many as there are available. Just keep in mind that camp cards stay in the middle, where everyone can see them.
The Power of Event Cards
Event cards have always fascinated me. These little pieces of paper hold the power to transport us to different worlds and make us experience a multitude of emotions. They have a way of capturing our imagination and taking us on incredible journeys, all within the confines of a small, rectangular card.
When I hold an event card in my hand, I can’t help but feel a sense of anticipation. What story will it tell? What adventure will it take me on? The possibilities seem endless. It’s like holding a tiny portal to another dimension – a dimension where anything is possible.
Event cards, you see, are more than just pieces of cardboard. They are gateways to new experiences and opportunities. They have the power to bring people together, to create connections and foster friendships. Imagine sitting at a table with friends, each of you holding a set of event cards, ready to embark on a shared adventure. The excitement in the room is palpable as you shuffle the cards, knowing that you are about to embark on a journey that will test your wits, challenge your strategy, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
But event cards aren’t just for game night gatherings. They can transport us to distant lands, allowing us to witness amazing sights and experience cultures unlike our own. They can introduce us to characters who become like friends, guiding us through their stories and teaching us valuable lessons along the way. They can even take us back in time, allowing us to relive important moments in history or explore parallel worlds where things turned out differently.
Event cards have the power to ignite our imaginations and ignite our curiosity. When we hold an event card in our hand, we become part of a larger narrative, where we have the power to shape the outcome. It’s a feeling of empowerment and agency, knowing that our choices and actions will have a direct impact on the story that unfolds.
So, next time you come across an event card, take a moment to appreciate its power. Hold it in your hand and let your imagination run wild. Allow yourself to be transported to new worlds and embark on exciting adventures. The possibilities are endless, and the power of event cards is truly remarkable. Embrace it, and let it take you on a journey you’ll never forget.

When you explore the island, you’ll encounter event cards. These can be exciting adventures or dangerous situations.
Each event card requires you to take a specific action.
Once you succeed or fail at an event, the next player will reveal their card, and the game continues. Event cards are kept in the middle of the game.
The Game’s End
If you lose all of your Life Points, you’re out of the game. You’ll have to distribute your Treasures evenly among the remaining players, who will place them face-down under their own Adventure decks.
If there’s only one player left, that survivor is the winner!
Otherwise, the game ends when the music stops and the sound of the oars is heard. All remaining players count their Treasure cards to determine their scores.
Hey there! Here’s a little advice for you: remember to be careful when it comes to collecting treasure cards. You can only hold onto three of them for each life point you have. Anything beyond that, you gotta let go.
Let me give you an example. Say you have four life points and you manage to snag 15 treasure cards. Well, you can’t keep ’em all. Gotta get rid of the excess.
The player who ends up with the most treasures is the big winner. But if there happens to be a tie, we gotta figure out who’s gonna take home the crown. First, we look at who has the most life points. That person’s in the lead. But if there’s still a tie after that, it’s showdown time! The tied players take turns shooting at a target with a pistol. And here’s the kicker: the first person to miss is out!
