Go Directly to Jail

I’m really sorry, but you have to go straight to Jail! No M200 for passing GO, unfortunately.

Once you’re in Jail, your turn is over. However, don’t worry! You still have some options available to you. While you’re in Jail, you can collect rent, participate in auctions, buy Houses and Hotels, mortgage properties, and make trades.

How Do I Escape Jail?

Thankfully, you have 2 options to choose from:

1. On your next turn, pay M50 to get out of Jail. After that, you can roll the dice and move like normal.
2. If you happen to have a Get Out of Jail Free card (or you can buy one from another player), you can use it at the start of your next turn. Remember to place the card back at the bottom of the appropriate deck. Then, roll the dice and move accordingly.

Building Structures

Constructing Houses

When you get a set of colors, you can begin buying houses right away, without having to wait for your turn. Pay the Bank the amount indicated on the Title Deed card and place a house on the corresponding property.

It’s essential to build evenly. This means you must have at least one house on each property within the set before you can build a second house on any of them. You are allowed to have a maximum of four houses on each property.

Now, let’s talk about building hotels.

So, here’s the deal. Once you manage to grab yourself four Houses in a specific color set on all the locations, you have the option to upgrade to a Hotel. Pretty sweet, right? To make it happen, all you got to do is pay the cost of the Hotel as stated on the Title Deed card. Once you’ve done that, return those four Houses back to the Bank and replace them with a shiny new Hotel on that Location.

But wait, there’s a catch. You can only have one Hotel per Location. No exceptions. That means no more buying and adding Houses to that spot. Oh, and you can’t build that Hotel if any of the Locations in that same color set are mortgaged. Bummer, I know.

Running out of Buildings?

Let me tell you what happens when multiple players have their eyes set on that last House or Hotel. The Banker steps in and handles an auction for it. The bidding starts at M10, and any player can up the bid by as little as M1. It doesn’t matter whose turn it is, anyone can jump in and bid. So, who’s got the highest bid? That lucky Toy gets to own the building, and the payment goes straight to the Bank.

No Buildings to be Found?

Well, well. Looks like our inventory is wiped clean. If that’s the case, you’ll have to wait until somebody decides to sell one of their buildings back. Patience is a virtue, my friend.

Let’s Make a Deal

Hey there! Did you know that you can buy, sell, or swap property with other Toys at any time? But hold your horses, before you can sell or trade a Location, you need to sell all buildings on a color set to the Bank. And one little thing, you can’t sell or trade those buildings to another Toy.

Now, let’s talk about the good stuff. Property can be traded for cash, other property, and even those elusive Get Out of Jail Free cards. The best part? You and the other Toys get to decide how much you want to trade for. And guess what? You can even trade mortgaged property at any agreed-upon price.

So, when you become the new owner of a property, you’ve got a couple of options. You can either:

• Repay the mortgage by paying the Bank the full amount to unmortgage it. OR
• Keep the mortgage and just pay the Bank 10% of the mortgage value right now.

Mortgaging Property

When you want to mortgage a property, you first need to sell all the buildings in its color set to the Bank. The buildings should be sold for half of their original cost price.

To mortgage a property, you simply need to turn the Title Deed card face down. After that, you can collect the mortgage value from the Bank, which is indicated on the back of the card.

If you decide to repay a mortgage, you must pay the unmortgage cost to the Bank. This cost includes the mortgage value plus an additional 10%. Once you’ve made the payment, you can turn the card face up again.

It’s important to note that while a property is mortgaged, you cannot collect any rent on it. However, you can collect the increased rent level on the other properties in the same color set that are still unmortgaged.

The increased rent on Toy Repair spaces that are still unmortgaged can also be collected.

2. If you still owe money, you’re bankrupt

If you find yourself in a situation where you owe more money than you have, you are officially bankrupt, and that means you are out of the game!

Do you owe money to another player?

If you find yourself in a bind and need some quick cash, there’s a way to get it. Just hand over all of your mortgaged properties and any Get Out of Jail Free cards. The person who takes them off your hands will have two options:

• They can pay off the mortgage by giving the bank the full amount owed.
• Or they can keep the mortgage and pay just 10% of the total mortgage value right now.

But what if you owe the Bank instead?

In that case, it’s time to give all of your properties back to the Bank. Any mortgages you have will be canceled, and all of your properties will be put up for auction immediately.

Don’t forget to return any Get Out of Jail Free cards you have. They go right back to the bottom of the deck where they belong.
