1. First, the youngest player takes their turn. They start by flipping over a Movement Card and moving the corresponding number of spaces on the Game Board.
2. If the player lands on a fruit space during their move, they must stop and collect a Butterfly Puzzle Piece that matches the type of fruit on that space. They turn over the Puzzle Piece, place it in front of them, and add it to their growing Butterfly Puzzle. Once they have collected the Puzzle Piece, their turn is over and play moves on to the next player.
3. If the player lands on an empty circle on the Game Board, their turn ends immediately and play passes to the player on their left.

How to Move on the Game Board

When playing the game, you can move in any direction on the Game Board. This means you can go up, down, left, or right. You can even cross the middle of the Game Board if you want!

Now, here’s an interesting thing about the middle of the board. There’s a Butterfly sitting right there, and it counts as one space. So, if you decide to cross the middle, you’ll only move one space forward.

Now, let’s talk about landing on fruit spaces. You don’t have to land on them exactly. If you happen to pass a fruit space while moving, you still get something special. You stop and collect a Butterfly Puzzle Piece! But, please remember, once you collect a piece, your turn is over. So make sure you plan your moves carefully!

Here’s another important rule about fruit spaces. If you happen to cross a fruit space that you have already landed on, you don’t get another Butterfly Puzzle Piece. You just keep moving past it. There’s no need to stop and pick up another piece.

Now, what happens if you turn over a Movement Card with a caterpillar and junk food on it? Well, in that case, you don’t get to move at all. Your turn ends, and the next player gets a chance to play.

If you find a Movement Card with a caterpillar and a leaf, you can move your game piece to any fruit space you haven’t reached yet.

But if you’ve already landed on all the fruit spaces and completed your Butterfly, you can go straight to the Butterfly in the middle of the Game Board, and that’s the end of the game.

Winning the Game

The goal of the game is to be the first player to complete a Butterfly Puzzle and get your Caterpillar to the Butterfly space at the center of the Game Board.

Remember, you don’t have to land on the Butterfly space with a specific count. As long as you reach it, you win!
