In Las Vegas Royale, you’ll have the opportunity to test your luck, make wise choices, and outsmart your opponents as you strive to become the ultimate high roller!
Las Vegas Royale is a game that combines luck and strategy in a unique and thrilling way. Each player takes on the role of a high roller, vying for control of the most prestigious casinos on the Las Vegas Strip. Your goal is to amass as much fame and fortune as possible by placing your bets wisely, winning control of the casinos, and earning hefty payouts. But beware, because your opponents will be doing everything they can to outsmart you and claim the best casinos for themselves!
So, how exactly does Las Vegas Royale work? The game is played over four rounds, with each round consisting of four phases. In the first phase, players roll their dice to determine their starting resources. These resources can be used to place bets, win control of casinos, and earn payouts. The second phase is the betting phase, where players strategically place their bets on the different casinos. The third phase is the auction phase, where players bid on the casinos that are up for grabs. And finally, in the fourth phase, the payouts are determined, and players collect their winnings.
Throughout the game, you’ll need to make careful decisions and use your resources wisely. Will you place big bets on the most lucrative casinos, or spread your bets out to increase your chances of winning? Will you try to outbid your opponents in the auction phase, or save your resources for later rounds? The choice is yours!
Las Vegas Royale is a game that combines strategy, luck, and skill in a way that’s bound to keep you on the edge of your seat. Whether you’re a seasoned gamer looking for a new challenge or a casual player looking for a fun and exciting game to enjoy with friends and family, Las Vegas Royale is sure to deliver!

Where will they place their dice?

Las Vegas (Basic/Introductory Game)
The rules for this game are similar to the rules of the alea game “Las Vegas” from 2012. If you’re already familiar with that game, you just need to take note of the changes highlighted in dark blue.
Getting Started
To begin, place the dice arena in the middle of the table, making sure the black hexagon is centered.
Next, assemble the ring containing the six casinos (made up of three parts) and position it around the dice arena (refer to the illustration for guidance).
Once the setup is complete, shuffle the stack of 90 money cards and set them aside in a facedown pile. Draw two cards from the pile and place them face up next to each other on the table.

So here’s what you need to do: keep repeating this process until you’ve revealed a total of six pairs of cards. After that, take the pair of cards that has the highest total value and place it next to the casino, which we call “Sunset.”

When you’re playing the card game, it’s essential to arrange the cards in a specific way. Here’s how:
First, make sure to place the cards slightly offset from each other. This way, you can always see their values clearly. It’s important to have a clear view of the cards to make informed decisions!
Next, arrange the pairs of cards based on their total value. If two pairs have the same total value, consider the money card to determine their positioning. The pair with the higher money card should be placed next to the casino with the higher rank. If you have any remaining money cards, set them aside for the later rounds.
By following these steps, you can ensure a fair and organized gameplay experience. Good luck!

I’ll walk you through the setup of the game. You’ll need eight dice in your chosen color and two chips. Keep the extra chips aside for later rounds. The other game materials like tiles, leftover dice, counters, and tokens are not used in the base game.

Playing the Game
Get ready for an exciting game! We’ll play three rounds, and each round will have about four to six times where we roll the dice.
The person who is the oldest goes first, and then we take turns clockwise. When it’s your turn, you’ll roll all eight of your dice at once. But as we keep playing, you’ll have fewer dice to roll each turn.
Now here comes the fun part! After rolling, you get to choose one number from the dice you rolled. Take all the dice with that number and put them in the matching casino. It doesn’t matter if the casino already has dice in it from you or the other players.
Once you’ve done that, remove the rest of the dice from the dice arena. Then it’s the next player’s turn to roll their dice, place them in the casinos, and so on. We keep going like this until all players have placed all their dice.

Let me give you an example: Imagine you’re playing a game and it’s your third turn. You decide to roll the remaining 5 dice you have. This time, you end up with four 3s and a 5.

I choose the four 3s and put each one of them in the casino. I can’t put less than all four of those dice!
Next, I will roll my last die and put it where it belongs.
If you don’t have any dice left, you have to pass for the rest of the round. Sometimes, at the end of a round, only one player has any dice left and they get to take multiple turns in a row!
The Chips
Chips can be used during the game to skip your turn. If you don’t like the result of your roll, you can pay one of your chips and pass the turn by taking all your dice out of the arena. Then, the player to your left takes their turn as usual.
Payout
The payout begins when the last player has placed their final die in a casino.
First things first, let’s take a look at each casino to see if two or more players have put down the same number of dice. Now, here’s the cool part – the bigger die, also known as “Biggy,” is like two smaller dice! So, if Biggy shows up in a tie, those players have to take all of their dice back.

Example 1: I placed five dice in the casino, Ben placed three, Carla placed one plus her “Biggy” (=equals three), and Denny placed one. But since Ben and Carla have the same amount of dice, they remove theirs.

Example 2: So here’s the deal: Anna and Carla have placed their dice in the casino, while Ben and Denny only put one each. Now it’s time to see who comes out on top. Let’s remove all the dice and get ready to pay out the money cards next to the “Miracle” casino.
The player who has the most dice in the casino will be the lucky winner of the money card with the higher value. As for the runner-up, they’ll take home the other money card. Unfortunately, everyone else will have to leave the casino empty-handed. It’s a tough break, but that’s the name of the game.
We’ll repeat this process for the other five casinos, paying out the money cards in the same way. And hey, if there are any money cards left in a casino after payout, we’ll simply tuck them away under the money card pile. Don’t worry, you can hide the money you won until the game is over.
Now, it’s time to gather up all your dice and prepare for the next round. Get ready, because this game is just getting started.

Casino:
Wow, check this out! I just hit the jackpot at the casino! I won a card worth a whopping $40,000! Talk about a stroke of luck! Oh, and guess what? There’s another card just like it hiding under the pile, ready for someone else to discover!

Winning at the Casino:
Hey there! Let me tell you a funny story. So, there’s this place called the casino, where people can try their luck and maybe win some serious cash. Picture this – Carla walks in, and boom! She hits the jackpot and takes home a whopping $70,000! Talk about luck, right?
But guess what? That’s not all. Ben, another visitor at the casino, gives it a shot too. And guess what? Lightning strikes twice! He walks away with a cool $30,000 in his pocket. Imagine the grin on his face.
Now, here comes Denny. Poor old Denny. He’s hoping for the best, but unfortunately, luck just isn’t on his side this time. He walks away empty-handed, no winnings for him. Tough break, Denny.
Isn’t it fascinating how things work out sometimes? It’s like a rollercoaster of emotions at the casino. You never know what’s going to happen next. One moment you’re down on your luck, and the next moment you’re celebrating a big win. It’s all part of the thrill, my friend.

Welcome to the casino!
Guess what? Anna just won a whopping $80,000, and Denny is celebrating with a $50,000 win!
Let’s keep playing!
For the next round, we’ll place a brand new set of money cards next to each casino, just like we did at the beginning of the game (check out the left page for details). Oh, and each player gets 2 more chips, on top of any leftover ones from the previous round.
The player who scored the higher value money card at the casino starts the next round. If no one won anything at a particular casino, then the winner from the next lower ranked casino gets the honor of starting.
It’s time to find a winner!
After three rounds, the game comes to an end. Now it’s time to count your money! Each leftover chip is worth a whopping $10,000. The player with the most money takes home the victory!
If there happens to be a tie, we still have a way to determine the winner. The player with the most money cards and chips claims the prize. But if the tie persists, well, we’ll have ourselves some multiple winners to celebrate!
Want to play with just 2 players?
Let me tell you about a fun game you can play. It’s called Dice Casino, and here’s how it works:
First, you’ll need to gather eight dice of a color that no one is playing with. These will be the “neutral” dice.
Once you have the dice, the game follows the same rules as the basic version of Casino. You can find those rules online if you need a refresher.
There are just a few exceptions to keep in mind:
Before each new round begins, you’ll roll all eight neutral dice. Then, you’ll place each die in its corresponding casino. They will stay there until the round is over.
At the end of the round, you’ll evaluate the neutral dice as if they belong to an imaginary player. Any money they win goes into the money card pile.

Welcome to Las Vegas Royale, a thrilling game where luck and strategy come together! In this game, you have the chance to win big, but it’s not always easy. Let me walk you through the rules and setup, so you’ll be ready to hit the jackpot!
Winning the Money Cards
During the game, players will take turns rolling dice to try and win money cards. The value of each money card can vary, ranging from $10,000 to $90,000!
Let me give you a couple of examples to help you understand:
Example 1: During my turn, I rolled the dice and won the $80,000 card. I place it under the money card pile. Then, Ben had his turn and won the $30,000 card.
Example 2: This time, Carla was lucky and won the $70,000 card. The neutral player, on the other hand, won the $40,000 card, which went back under the pile. Unfortunately, Ben didn’t win anything this time.
Remember, these rules also apply when there are only 2 players playing the main game, “Las Vegas Royale”.
Las Vegas Royale (Main Game)
In the main game, “Las Vegas Royale,” all the rules mentioned above still apply. However, there are a few exceptions to keep in mind:
Setup
When we start a new round, we have to do a few things to get ready. First, I grab 3 tiles at random. Each tile has two sides, so I flip them over and mix them up. Next, I pick one of the tiles and place it next to the
casino. I do the same thing for the
casino and the
casino. The other casinos, numbers 4 to 6, stay empty.
Now it’s time to deal out the money cards. We have 6 sets of 2 cards, and we follow the instructions in the “Game Setup” section of the basic game rules. After that, we put aside 6 sets of 2 money cards for rounds 2 and 3. That’s a total of 24 cards, and they stay face down. The rest of the money cards go on the table, face up. We call those cards the “bank”.
To get started, gather the dice and counters and place them next to the game board. Make sure you have the 2 black dice and 9 gray dice. Depending on the additional casino tiles, you may need some of the counters and tokens. For more detailed instructions, refer to pages 5-8.
The rest of the game setup is the same as the Basic Game.
Playing the Game
The gameplay for this version of “Las Vegas” follows the same rules as the basic game, with one change. When you place any dice in casinos 1, 2, or 3, you “activate” them and something new happens.
During rounds 2 and 3, you remove the three extra tiles. Then, randomly select three tiles and place them next to casinos 1, 2, and 3. It’s possible for the same tile to be used multiple times.
If you don’t want that to happen, make sure to set aside the tiles you’ve used after each round, or flip them over to use the other side. The rest of the instructions for the second and third round are in the basic game section.
Game Over
The game will end after we’ve played three rounds. The player who has the most money will be declared the winner.
If there’s a tie, the winner will be determined by the player who has the most money cards and chips.
Variation
Before we start the game, we can decide to use fewer or more than three tiles per round. The maximum number of tiles we can use is six (one for each casino). Let’s have some fun!
