To win the game, your goal is to score the most points by strategically placing cards in a line next to the cards already on the table.

A line in this game consists of 2, 3, or 4 cards in a row. Each card in the line must have either the same or different color, shape, and number. It’s like a puzzle that you have to solve with your cards.

Before you start playing, you’ll need a pencil and paper to keep track of the scores. Each player draws a random card, and the player with the card with the highest face value gets to go first. If there are players with the same face value, they redraw until there’s a clear winner. Then, return all the cards, shuffle them, and deal 4 cards face down to each player.

The remaining cards are placed face down to form the draw pile. Take the top card from the draw pile and turn it face up. This card is called the starter card, and it will be the first card on the table that you build your lines from. Remember, you can only look at your own cards, not the other players’ cards.

Now, it’s time to start playing! Each player takes turns adding cards to the grid, connecting them to the starter card. But here’s the catch, all cards played must be in the same line. So, you have to think strategically about where to place your cards to maximize your points.

The Game’s End

At the end of each turn, you need to calculate the total face value of all the cards in each line that was created or extended during that turn.

If a card is part of two lines, it will be counted twice. You will receive double points for completing an entire lot. If you manage to play all 4 of your cards in one turn, you will earn double points again.

The game will come to an end when all the cards in the deck have been used up and a player plays their last card. The turn that ends the game will earn double points.

When you play 2 cards, a new line of 3 cards is formed. However, these cards have the same shape but different colors and numbers. It’s up to you where to place them on the line – they don’t have to be adjacent. By doing this, you earn 6 points.

Turn 3

I played 2 cards. The yellow square 2 finished a lot. And I made 2 new rows with 2 cards each.

I got 12 points for the 2 horizontal rows (8+4). There’s also 5 points for the vertical line. And since I completed the lot, I get double points. So, that’s a total of 34 points!

My Fourth Turn

So, in my fourth turn, I played a total of four cards. These cards completed two lots. Each lot had a face value of 10 points, which means that together, they added up to 20 points. But there’s more! I also extended a second line down and earned an additional 6 points. So, in total, I scored a whopping 26 points in this turn!

But wait, there’s even more! I get to double all the points I earned in the first lot. That means the 20 points from the lots are now 40 points. And it doesn’t stop there! I get to double those points again for the second lot, making it 80 points in all. But guess what? It gets better! Since I played all four cards, I get to double my points once more! So, my total score for this turn is an incredible 208 points!
