Illusion Game Rules
Welcome to the world of Illusion! In this game, you will need to trust your own judgement and rely on your eyes to solve mind-bending puzzles. It’s a game that challenges your perception and makes you question what you see. Are you ready to enter the realm of illusion?
1. Trust Your Eyes
When playing Illusion, your eyes are your most valuable tool. You’ll be presented with a series of images and your task is to determine the correct answer based on what you see. The images may play tricks on your mind, making objects appear differently than they actually are. Your challenge is to look past the illusion and trust what your eyes are telling you.
2. Pay Attention to Details
It’s important to pay close attention to the details in each image. Sometimes, the smallest details can make a big difference. Look for subtle differences in size, shape, color, or position. These subtle clues can help you unravel the illusion and find the correct answer. Train your eyes to notice even the tiniest of details.
3. Think Outside the Box
Illusion is all about thinking outside the box. Don’t limit yourself to what you think is possible. Sometimes, the answer may seem impossible, but that’s where the illusion comes into play. Be open to different perspectives and consider all possibilities. Your ability to think creatively will be a valuable asset in solving these puzzles.
4. Practice Makes Perfect
Like any skill, the more you practice, the better you’ll become at solving illusions. Take your time with each image and use the opportunity to sharpen your perception skills. The more you expose yourself to illusions, the better equipped you’ll be to interpret them accurately. Challenge yourself and embrace the learning process.
5. Trust Your Gut
Sometimes, your gut feeling can lead you to the correct answer. If something feels off or doesn’t quite fit, trust that instinct. Your intuition can be a powerful guide in deciphering illusions. It’s a combination of your subconscious mind and your years of experience coming together to help you make sense of the puzzle.
So, are you ready to embark on this journey into the world of illusion? Trust your eyes, pay attention to the details, think outside the box, practice, and trust your gut. These are the key rules to unlocking the secrets of illusion. Get ready to have your mind blown and let the games begin!

Hey there! Let me break down the information on the back of each color card for you. It shows you the percentage of the card that is made up of each color.
Just remember, the percentages are based on the printable white area of the card, so the grey border isn’t included.
Let’s Talk Game Concept
Alright, let’s get into the game. In each round, an arrow tells us which color we’re playing with. We’re going to build a row of cards, and the proportion of the specified color on each card needs to get bigger as we follow the arrow’s direction. It’s okay if some cards have the same amount of the color as others.
When looking at the cards, it’s important to note that the green portion should increase from card to card, following the arrow’s direction. Right next to the arrow, you’ll see just a small amount of green.
As we move to the next card, you’ll notice a significant increase in the green portion. Then, on the third card, you’ll see quite a lot of green. Finally, on the rightmost card, there is a huge amount of green. So far, so good!
As you take your turn, you have two options: either question the validity of the entire row so far or pick a color card from the deck and place it correctly in the row.
Getting Started
Let’s set up the game! We have 12 arrow cards and 98 color cards. First, we need to shuffle the arrow cards and place them face down on the edge of the table. Then, we’ll turn over the top arrow card and put it face up in the center of the table.
Next, we’ll shuffle the color cards and place them with the color side up in a deck on the edge of the table, right next to the stack of arrow cards.
Now, take the top color card from the deck and place it face up next to the arrow in the center of the table. Make sure you can’t see the back of the color card, where the percentage information is.

In the exciting game, a red arrow card is flipped over and placed in the middle of the table. Then, a color card from the deck is revealed and placed next to it.
How to Play
We use a draw to decide who goes first. The chosen player takes the top color card from the deck and puts it next to the color card that’s already there. They need to follow the direction of the arrow and place the new card either to the right or left of the existing card.
It’s really important to make sure that you don’t show the back of the card, which has the percentage information on it.

So, I’m playing this game called Tim’s Color Card Challenge. Here’s how it goes: Tim starts by taking the top color card from the deck and putting it to the left of the card that’s already there. This move means that the proportion of red colors on the cards increases from left to right. Pretty straightforward, right?
Now it’s the next player’s turn, and they have a choice to make. They need to decide if they think the order of the colors is correct for the entire row so far, or if they want to question the validity of the whole row. It’s like a little puzzle.
If the player believes that the whole row is correct, they can add a new color card to the row. They can put it all the way to the left, all the way to the right, or between two cards. After inserting the new card, the player can rearrange the cards so they’re in the right order.
Remember: Once a card is played, you can’t go back and switch it with another one. Gotta keep everything in order!

So, here’s what happens: Sarah grabs another color card from the stack and puts it right between the cards we’ve already played.
Now it’s your turn! You gotta decide for yourself if you think the order of the cards is right for the whole row, or if you wanna question it, like “Hey, are these cards in the right order?”. It’s up to you!
As long as nobody questions the sequence, we just keep going in a circle, adding one card to the row after each player’s turn.

Lucas and Emma are taking turns inserting color cards into a row.
When it’s my turn and I don’t think the whole row is correct, I have to say “I don’t believe it.”
When that happens, we flip all the cards played so far and check the percentage values. We want the values to increase from left to right, following the direction of the color arrow.
Note: If two cards right next to each other have the same percentage value, that counts as correct.

So, here’s the thing: Tim doesn’t trust Emma. He thinks there’s something fishy going on with the entire row. To confirm his suspicion, he flips all five cards. And what do you know? Right after 16%, there’s a lower value of 11% – a definite error.
Now, if you guess correctly – meaning there was at least one error in the row (no matter who made it!) – you get the arrow card as a reward. That’s your little prize for being a savvy detective.
But if you’re wrong and the whole row is actually correct, then the arrow card goes to the player who played the very last color card before you so confidently made your incorrect guess.
Once the Game Ends
All the color cards are taken off the table and set aside. They’re done for the day. But don’t fret, because a new round is about to begin. We’ll get everything ready, follow the same rules, and play the next round just like we did before.
When I start a new round, I get to go first if I had the arrow card last time. We keep playing rounds like this until someone has 3 arrow cards. And guess what? That person is the winner!
But hey, we can also make it more interesting by playing 12 rounds. In that case, the person with the most arrow cards at the end is the big winner.
