When you want to get rid of some cards in your hand, you can discard them onto the discard pile in any order. After that, you can draw cards from the deck until you have six cards in your hand. You always end up with six cards, but if you gain cards in another way, there’s no limit to how many you can have.
If you need to draw a card from the deck, but it’s empty, you can shuffle the discard pile and place it face down to make a new deck. Then you can draw the rest of the cards from this new deck.
Things to Remember

In the game, there’s a rule that states two cards of the same color cannot be in the same guildhall at the same time. This means that you can’t have two cards that are exactly the same in your guildhall, and you also can’t have a duplicate card in someone else’s guildhall.
There’s a situation where you might have an ability that allows you to move an entire chapter to your guildhall. However, if that chapter contains a card that is already in your guildhall, you can’t move the chapter.
But here’s the thing – you can swap two cards that are identical (like two red Weavers) between your hand and your guildhall, or between your guildhall and another player’s guildhall.
If you already have a card in your action area, then you can place that same card (with the same profession and color) in your guildhall.
If, by some chance, you end up with duplicate cards in your guildhall, get rid of the duplicates until you only have one of that card left.
III. Buy 1 VP Card

When you buy a VP card, immediately replace it with a new card from the VP card deck. The center row will always have 5 VP cards available for purchase.
Completed Chapters
Once you have all five colors of a single profession in your guildhall, congratulations! You’ve finished the chapter. Simply flip them face down and stack them up. These cards are now a completed chapter. They won’t interact with other cards or be influenced by them. These completed chapters can only be used to purchase VP cards.
In your guildhall, you’re allowed to have up to 3 completed chapters at a time. If you happen to end up with 4 or more completed chapters, you’ll need to get rid of some until you only have 3 left.

Example: So, you’ve got this Trader guy in your guildhall already, right? A red one, to be exact. Well, guess what? You can’t play another red Trader. It’s like a rule or something. But here’s a cool trick for you. If you play a blue Historian card and snatch a purple Trader from the discard pile and plop it into your guildhall, boom!
