How to Play the Game

First, you need to take eight tiles from the bag. Place these tiles face up on the board in the correct spaces. Look at the Atomic Numbers on the tiles to help you match them to the right places on the board.

Once all eight tiles are on the board and everyone is ready, start the 45-second timer.

Now, using only the tiles on the board, your goal is to create as many words as possible. Everyone can write words at the same time, there’s no need to take turns.

When creating words, remember that you must use the symbols exactly as they appear on the tiles. You can’t separate letters that are connected on a tile, or change their order. For example, if the Ba and N tiles are on the board, you can play the word “BaN.” However, you can’t play the word “NaB” because the order of the letters would be incorrect.

Hey there, don’t sweat it if you don’t see a ton of words in the beginning rounds – that’s totally normal!

Just remember, each word has to be made up of at least TWO tiles. So you can’t use single tiles like I, No, Be, or Am by themselves.

But guess what? You CAN use plurals! The S and Es tiles come in handy here. For example, you can make words like LiONS or MoTiVEs.

And here’s a cool tip – you can use the same symbol more than once in a word. Yeah, it’s true! Go wild and try words like BaNaNa. It’s fun!

Scoring

Alright, time’s up! It’s time to share your words with the group. Everybody, listen up! If you think a word is legit, you can go ahead and accept it. But, if you think it’s fishy, you can challenge it. In that case, we gotta look it up online or in the dictionary to settle the score.

Now, the cool thing is that each tile comes with an Atomic Number, which tells you how many points you get for using that tile. So, let’s say you have the word Ac 89 Ce 58 S 16 S 16. To score that word, you just add up the Atomic Numbers: 89 + 58 + 16 + 16 = 179 points!

Here’s a little twist, though. Whenever you call out a word, the other players gotta cross it off their list. They can’t use the same word for the whole game. The only exception is if they can make the same word using different tiles. Got it?

Let’s say you spelled out Ac 89 Ce 58 S 16 S 16, and you scored 179 points. But wait! Someone else spelled it out differently: Ag 47 No 102 S 16 Ti 22 C 6, and they scored 187 points! Pretty sneaky, right?

We’ll keep going in a circle until everyone has read out their words and we’ve got scores for everyone. Exciting stuff!

Time to update the scores after each round.

I’m thrilled to announce that the winner will be the first player to reach 1000 points.

Now that we’re done with the first round, the player sitting to your left will select only FOUR tiles from the bag. They won’t peek, mind you. These tiles will be put face up on the board, just like before. From this point on, the game will continue with the same rules for play and scoring.

When it comes to word creation, you have a lot of freedom. However, you cannot use suffixes, prefixes, abbreviations, hyphenations, acronyms, or foreign words not in the dictionary. Additionally, proper nouns such as names of people, towns, cities, and countries are off limits.

Just remember: You can only form words using the symbol tiles that are currently on the board.
