Let’s Play the Letter Game!
Introducing the Letter Game
Hey there! Have you heard of the letter game? It’s a super fun and exciting game that challenges your creativity and vocabulary. I’m here to tell you all about it and hopefully get you hooked!
So, how does the letter game work? Well, it’s pretty simple. Each player takes turns coming up with words that start with a specific letter. The catch is that you have to think of a word within a given time limit. It’s a race against the clock!
Game Rules
Now that you know the basics, let’s go over the official letter game rules:
- First, gather your friends or family members who want to play.
- Decide on a starting letter. You can choose the first letter of a name, a random letter, or even draw a letter from a hat!
- Set a time limit for each turn. It could be 30 seconds, a minute, or any length you prefer.
- During each turn, players must come up with a word that starts with the chosen letter.
- Words cannot be repeated within the same game, so you’ll have to get creative!
- If a player can’t come up with a word within the time limit, they’re out for that round.
- Continue playing until only one player is left. This person is the winner!
Why You’ll Love the Letter Game
The letter game is a fantastic way to have fun with friends and family while also sharpening your mind. Here are a few reasons why you’ll love playing:
- Boost Your Creativity: Thinking of words under pressure will push your creative boundaries and help you come up with unique and interesting ideas.
- Expand Your Vocabulary: With each round, you’ll encounter new words and learn their meanings. It’s a great opportunity to expand your vocabulary.
- Quick Thinking: The time limit adds an exciting element to the game, challenging you to think on your feet and come up with words in a snap.
- Friendly Competition: Who doesn’t love a little friendly competition? The letter game is a great way to bond with friends and family through some healthy rivalry.
Ready to Get Started?
Now that you know all about the letter game, it’s time to gather your loved ones, choose a letter, and start playing! Get ready for some laughter, excitement, and a whole lot of wordplay. Remember, the most important rule of all is to have fun!

Hey there! Let’s talk about a super fun game called Follow The Letter. The objective of the game is simple: be the first player or team to move your pawn all the way to the finish space and win!
Getting Started
Follow The Letter is perfect for 2 to 4 players or teams. You can even have more players by dividing into teams. It’s totally up to you!
Before you begin, make sure everyone has easy access to the sand timer, die, and card deck. Then, each player or team places their pawn on the START Space on the Game Board, and you’re ready to roll!

Let’s Play the Game!
- To start the game, the youngest player rolls the die. The number on the die corresponds to a specific category. Grab a card and read the category out loud.
NOTE: If you roll a 6, it’s a WILD! You get to choose any category on the card. For example: Let’s say the category is food. The first player can say “Sandwich”. Now, the next player has to say a food that starts with the letter H (because Sandwich ends with “h”). The second player might say, “Hamburger”. Then, the following player needs to say a food that begins with R (since Hamburger ends with “r”), and so on.
Remember: After each response, flip the timer to put the next player or team on the clock.
Also: If you’re playing in teams, anyone from the team can give an answer when it’s their turn. But remember, the first answer given is the one that counts, even if it’s incorrect!
The Rule of Three
Ever played a word game where things get tricky and you have to make quick decisions? Well, here’s a fun one!
Let me explain how it works. In this game, if the same last letter appears three times in a row, the next player can either use that repeated letter or the letter just before it. Sounds interesting, right?
Here’s an example to make it clearer. Let’s say the category is breakfast foods, and someone says “grits,” followed by “scrambled eggs” and then “sugar smacks.” In this case, the next team could choose an answer starting with the letter “K.”
Now, let’s talk about challenges.
If a player gives an answer that doesn’t make sense to the other players, they can issue a challenge. The player who provided the answer has 15 seconds to explain their reasoning.
After that, all players vote with a thumbs-up or thumbs-down to decide if the answer is acceptable. If every single player gives a thumbs-down, then the player who gave the answer is out. But if there is not a unanimous thumbs-down, the round continues.
