Setting Up

When setting up the game, make sure to place the Time Travel Car in front of the Locomotive. Follow the base game rules for the rest of the setup.

If you’re playing with the Horses and Stagecoach expansion, there is a restriction. You cannot place your Bandit in the Time Travel Car during a Horse attack.

Goal of the Game

The Time Travel Car gives you the ability to travel through time, catching other players off guard.

Multiple Bandits can enter the Time Travel Car, but to activate its power, your Bandit must be the only one in the car at the end of a round. This includes after any events have taken place in that round.

Alright, listen up! Here’s the deal. If you meet this condition, everybody else shuts their eyes. Got it? Good. Now, while they’re all blind, you gotta be sneaky and hide your Bandit pawn. You can stash it under the Loco- motive, one of the Cars, or even under the Stagecoach if you’re playing with the expansion.

Now, in the next Schemin’ phase, nobody knows where your Bandit is! They’re clueless! It’s like a secret mission. But don’t get too comfy, because at the beginning of the Stealing phase, your Bandit’s hiding spot gets revealed. That’s when you put the pawn inside the Car where it was hiding all along. Then we move on to resolving all the actions.

Finally, when the game is wrapping up, after we’ve dealt with the event, if you managed to keep one Bandit all by their lonesome inside the Time Travel Car, you score big time! You get 500 bucks and whatever loot is stashed inside. Jackpot!

Now, Let’s Talk Actions

The Time Travel Car is right next to the roof and inside of the Locomotive. This means that you can get into it by using a Move action or a Horse action if you’re playing with the Horses and Stagecoach expansion.

When your Bandit is in the Time Travel Car, the Floor Change action doesn’t do anything.

For the Fire action, the Time Travel Car is next to the roof of the train and inside of the Locomotive.

This means that a Bandit in the Time Travel Car can shoot at a Bandit on the roof of any Car, but you have to follow the Line of Sight rule (and vice versa), which is explained in the base game.

When it comes to playing with the Stagecoach, there’s something intriguing that can happen. See, there’s a Bandit on the roof of the Stagecoach, and that Bandit can actually shoot a Bandit in the Time Travel Car. And here’s the interesting part: the Bandit in the Time Travel Car can shoot back at the Bandit on the roof of the Stagecoach. It’s a wild back-and-forth that can make the game even more exciting!

Now, let’s talk about the Punch action. This is where things get really interesting. The player has the power to eject someone from the roof and the inside of the Locomotive to the Time Travel Car. It’s like a surprise attack that can catch your opponents off guard. But here’s the catch – you can only eject someone from the Time Travel Car to the inside of the Locomotive. That means you can’t kick a Bandit from the Time Travel Car onto the roof of the Locomotive. Gotta keep the game fair, you know?

Clarification

Just to make things clear, I wanted to point out that the Marshal never sets foot inside the Time Travel Car. It’s important to keep in mind that he remains outside at all times.

Now, when Django takes a shot at a Bandit who happens to be on the roof of the Locomotive, things get interesting. You see, when Django hits his mark, the unfortunate Bandit is actually catapulted into the mysterious Time Travel Car.

But how does this happen, you ask? Well, it’s all thanks to a little something called the Braking event. When the train suddenly breaks, it causes the Bandits who were previously hanging out on the roof of the Locomotive to be jolted forward into the Time Travel Car. Talk about an unexpected ride!
