• 1 cat cup
• 1 piece of cheese made of felt

Setup

Put the cheese in the middle of the table, where everyone can reach it easily. Each person gets a mouse and four mouse cards, and places them in front of themselves on the table. The youngest person also gets the cat cup and the die.

This round, they get to be the cat. Everyone else puts their mice on the cheese, holding onto them by the tail, so they can pull them away quickly.

How to Play the Game:

Alright, let’s get started! If I’m the one with the cat, I’ll go first by rolling the die.

If the dice lands on a cat, I get a chance to catch some mice. I’ll take the cat cup and do my best to catch as many mice as I can. But here’s the catch – I have to make sure the cat cup lands on the cheese! Meanwhile, all the other players need to quickly grab their mice from the cheese.

If I successfully catch one or more mice, I earn mice cards. Each player whose mouse I caught has to give me a mice card. But don’t worry, the players with the mice can put them back on the cheese for the next round.

Now it’s my turn to be the cat player again. I’ll roll the die one more time and try to catch even more mice. Here’s the tricky part – if I accidentally catch a mouse (even though I didn’t roll a cat), I have to give up one of my mice cards and put it back into the game box.

If you couldn’t catch any mice even though you rolled a cat, the tables turn and you become a mouse. The cat cup and the die are then passed to the player on your left.

Now it’s your turn to play as a mouse. Your goal is to catch mice using the cat cup. All players who are mice place their mice on the cheese. The game then continues as before.

If you roll a mouse, the mice get to enjoy nibbling on their cheese and nothing else happens. You can’t catch any mice with the cat cup, and the players who are mice can’t remove their mice from the cheese. If a player does pull their mouse from the cheese, they must give up a mice card and return it to the game box. After that, roll the die once again.

Game Over!

The game comes to an end when a player runs out of mice cards. The player with the highest number of mice cards is declared the winner. If there’s a tie, all players with the same top number of cards win the game.
