7 Wonders Wonder Pack Game Rules

Special Rule: You can build the Stages of the Great Wall in any order that you choose.

Clarification: Remember, you must decide which Stage to build before the other players show their action.

The Great Wall – A

The Great Wall – Stage 1: I take 8 coins from the bank and add them to my treasury. The Great Wall – Stage 2: At the end of the game, I get to choose an extra scientific symbol for myself. The Great Wall – Stage 3: During each conflict resolution, I get to add 2 Shields to my total. The Great Wall – Stage 4: At the end of my turn, I can pick an Age card from the discard pile and put it into play for free.

The Great Wall – B

Stage 1: I take 8 coins from the bank. The players next to me each take 2 coins from the bank, too.

Stage 2: When the game ends, the mask copies the scientific symbol of a green card from one of the cities next to it.

Let me explain: I can copy the symbol even if I already have a copy of that card in my own city.

Stage 3: At the end of the current Age, I don’t participate in the conflict resolution. The city on my left battles the city on my right. Also, every player except the owner of the Wonder must pay 2 coins to the bank.

If you’re not playing with the Cities expansion, a player who only has one coin left simply returns it to the bank. And if you have no coins left, you don’t lose anything.

Let me explain: If there are only 2 players left during the conflict resolution, they only battle each other once and each player gains only one token.

Stage 4: In this Stage, I can choose a resource each turn that my city doesn’t produce. It can be a brown, gray, or one of the starting resources on my board.

Let me explain: The resources from the yellow, white, or black cards are not considered.

Abu Simbel

Just a heads up: you’ll need the Leaders expansion for this wonder.

Abu Simbel – A Historical Marvel

When I think of breathtaking sights, Abu Simbel comes to mind. It is a wonder that impresses even the most seasoned travelers. Just picture it: towering statues and intricate carvings, all nestled in the heart of Egypt. This wonder is like no other, and it’s no wonder why it draws millions of visitors every year.

Abu Simbel is a true testament to the craftsmanship and ingenuity of ancient civilizations. The colossal statues of Pharaoh Ramesses II and his queen, Nefertari, are awe-inspiring. It’s as if they were frozen in time, permanently guarding the entrance to the temple.

But Abu Simbel is not just a feast for the eyes. Stepping inside the temple is like taking a journey back in time. The hieroglyphs and murals tell stories of the pharaoh’s life, victories, and religious beliefs. It’s like having a front-row seat to history.

If you’re lucky enough to visit Abu Simbel during the biannual Sun Festival, you’ll be treated to a truly unique experience. On these special days, the sun’s rays penetrate the temple’s inner chamber and illuminate the statues of the gods that reside there. It’s a sight that will leave you in awe and wondering how the ancient Egyptians were able to align the temple so perfectly with the sun’s path.

Abu Simbel is not just a wonder of the past; it continues to captivate and inspire people today. It is a testament to the power of human creativity and the enduring legacy of ancient civilizations. So, if you ever find yourself in Egypt, make sure to visit Abu Simbel. It’s a journey you won’t soon forget.

Step 3: When you reach this stage of the game, you need to make a choice. You must select one of the Leaders that you have recruited earlier and place it face-down on the designated space on your board. This means that you won’t be able to use that Leader’s ability anymore. However, at the end of the game, you will score points equal to double the cost of the chosen Leader.

Example: Let’s say your name is Alicia, and you have just built the Wonder Stage. You decide to choose Archimedes as your designated Leader and put him on the side of your board. Now, you won’t be able to enjoy the benefit of reduced cost for green cards anymore. But don’t worry, you will score 8 victory points at the end of the game because Archimedes costs 4 coins, and you double that amount.

Abu Simbel – B

Stage 1 : Just like Stage 3 on the other side.

Stage 2 : Same as Stage 3 on the other side.

Stonehenge

Stonehenge – A

Stonehenge is a fascinating and mysterious monument that captivates people all over the world. It has stood for thousands of years, and though many theories exist, its true purpose remains unknown. When I see Stonehenge, I can’t help but wonder about the people who built it and what they were thinking. It’s a truly remarkable piece of history that continues to intrigue and baffle experts. Stonehenge – A is another equally mystifying part of this enigmatic site. It’s incredible to think that these ancient structures have withstood the test of time and still harbor secrets that we may never fully understand. Both Stage 1 and Stage 2 of Stonehenge are just as captivating and mysterious as the rest, leaving me in awe of the skill and ingenuity of those who built them. Stonehenge is a testament to human creativity and the enduring power of ancient monuments.

Stage 3: When the game is over, you earn 2 victory points for every Stone resource on your brown cards.

Stonehenge – B

Stage 1: When I build this Stage, I earn 1 coin for each Stone resource symbol on my brown cards. Then, at the end of the game, I score 1 victory point for each Stone resource symbol on my brown cards.

Stage 2: At the end of the game, I flip the card I used to build this Stage face-up. After that, I earn 1 victory point for each card of the same color in both neighboring cities.

For example: Let’s say I, Clarence, built the Wonder Stage by using a blue card. When the game ends, I reveal the color of that card and score 1 victory point for each blue card in both neighboring cities.

Manneken Pis

Special Rule: The Manneken Pis doesn’t provide any resources, but as its player, you start the game with 4 extra coins.

Manneken Pis – A

Stage 1: When I play this card, I activate the first Stage on my left.

Stage 2: Then, I activate the second Stage on my right.

Stage 3: Finally, I activate the last Stage on my left.

Manneken Pis – B

First Step: When you start the game, you can take 7 coins from the Bank. This will give you an advantage when resolving conflicts and also earns you 7 victory points.

So, here’s the deal. When multiple players decide to grab cards from the discard pile in a single turn, there’s a specific order in which things go down. First up is Halikarnassos, then The Great Wall, followed by Manneken Pis, Salomon, and finally, the Courtesan’s Guild. Got it? Good.
