When playing the game, you have the choice to discard as many cards as you want during your Movement and/or Contribution Phases for their special powers. However, once you play these cards, you can no longer use them to contribute.

It’s important to note that there are two exceptions to this rule, namely the Khind and the Mimix cards. These cards have special powers that directly impact player contributions.

During The Movement Phase

Vulca (Black)

I, as a player, am a part of the Vulca team. We are masters of fire and honor Lika the Fire Dragon. It is our duty to protect the city using our magic.

Value 1: I can get rid of the Red Dragon and put it anywhere I want, whether it’s inside the City or outside.

Value 2: If I discard this card, I can move the Red Dragon up to 3 spaces, but only if the Dragon is already in the City. Dragons can move in a straight line up, down, left, or right, just like the Player Miniatures.

Terrah (Red)

The Terrah tribe is all about mastery over the earth. We worship Doran, the Earth Dragon, and rely on the city’s fertile fields to sustain us.

Value 1: You can get rid of this card in order to move the Green Dragon wherever you want (whether it’s already inside or outside the City).

Value 2: You can use this power to move the Green Dragon up to 3 spaces, but only if it is already in the City. Dragons move in straight lines, just like the Player Miniatures.

Aqua (Blue)

The Aqua faction, who worship Sesha the Water Dragon, are the masters of the sea and protectors of the city’s sacred waters.

Value 1: You have the power to discard a card and use it to move the Blue Dragon to any space, whether it’s inside or outside the City.

Value 2: I can get rid of it to make the Blue Dragon move up to 3 spaces (but only if the Dragon is already in the City). Dragons move straight, just like me!

Flit (Grey)

I am a master of the skies. I soar above the city, keeping a careful eye on the people who live here.

Value 1: When you use this action, you can choose any space to move your Player Miniature to and discard the card.

Value 2: You can throw away this card to move your Player Miniature up to 2 additional spaces.

When It’s Time to Contribute

Khind (Green)

The mischievous Khind, who are childlike in nature, wander around the city in groups, spreading joyful disorder wherever they go.

I’m here to tell you about a fascinating card game called Any Khind! Let me start by explaining how the Khind cards work. They are wild cards with a value of 1, and they can be used as or added to any color to make a contribution of 1 point. It’s like having a secret weapon up your sleeve!

Now, let’s talk about the Mimix cards.

The Mimix cards are represented by the color brown, and they belong to the naturalist group. These clever creatures have achieved a perfect elemental balance, and their main role is to take care of the city’s residents.

Value 1 or 2: If you have any 2 Mimix cards with values of 1 or 2, you can use them as a wild card with a value of 3. You can use this card on its own or combine it with any color.

Hoax (White)

The Hoax, as a group of philosophers, is always coming up with new and creative ideas to lead the community and share their knowledge.

Value 1: When I contribute, I have the power to transform the color of up to 4 cards. I can choose any color that I want, and all of the cards will change together. I just have to make sure that all the cards I want to change are the same color to begin with.

Value 2: If you want to change the color of a card while contributing, you can discard this value.

Pillar (Yellow)

Hey there, adventurers! The Pillar is all about exploring the unexplored and bringing back some awesome artifacts to trade.

So, here’s the deal. Sometimes when you’re making a contribution, you might want to switch up the color of a card. And that’s where Value 2 comes in. It’s like a secret power that lets you discard this value to make that color change happen.

Imagine you’re on a quest, journeying into the unknown. You come across something really cool and you just have to grab it. But, oh no, the card you need to contribute is the wrong color! Well, with Value 2, you can say goodbye to that problem.

Let me break it down for you. You hold this special Pillar (Yellow) card in your hand. When the time is right and you need to change the color of a card, simply discard this value. Boom! Problem solved.

So, adventurers, remember, the Pillar is all about exploring and trading unique artifacts. And with Value 2 in your pocket, you can change the color of a card in a flash. It’s your secret weapon in the world of adventure. Happy exploring!

Value 1: When I contribute to the Obelisk, I can discard this card to make an extra contribution. But here’s the catch – that extra contribution will require 1 Crystal more than the number that’s printed on the Offering space.

Value 2: When I contribute to the Obelisk, I can discard this card to make another contribution. The catch is that this extra contribution costs 2 more Crystals than what’s listed on the Offering space.
